@FullbringIchigo @get2sammyb The pair of you have more money than sense clearly.
Was a good game but, once again, it's a needless update relying on people wasting money on getting it again rather than the original which I saw for £5 in Grainger Games today. Suppose it's another nail in PS Now's coffin before it's even out, why subscribe or even have it when people will just throw full whack money at a game they want with a tiny bit of updated graphics?
Have to say having tried Injustice last night that it's probably the worst game ever given away with PS+. For such a hyped-up fighting game it's so slow, boring and clunky. Netheralm deserve some massive credit for taking some of the best characters ever and wrecking them. A truly special skill that.
If this comes to the UK it will bomb. Heavily. Without HBO and football (both of which heavily tied up with Sky) there would be no point in even bothering. Yes, there's other shows and sports but they are Sky's two crowning jewels and the only way Sony could compete. Sky would never let it happen though.
@hardrockr79 Copying countless other people a good year or two too late? Pioneering? No way near in this case.
All well and good saying how much money it saved people but it all depends on your taste of games and if you already have the games. For me it was either crap or already owned it every single month. Personally it offered me absolutely no value whatsoever this year. As I've said before only four games I've enjoyed and they would have cost me less than half the subscription price for a year. Having to also pay for online while it becomes more unreliable, the same sales happening again and again (with pathetic PS+ discounts compared to America, which needs addressing) and the whole mess of Sony Europe lying to everyone for a good few months about the service leaves a sour taste in the mouth as the year ends.
@Nickolaidas "hyped silly" to play games only a few years old just because they are slightly prettier and adding absolutely nothing to the games? The irritation is that the machine is in danger of becoming full of any old crap put on with a 'remastered' tag for gullible people to buy again and again just so they can make a quick few quid. As I said above what is the point of PS Now? Just remaster every single PlayStation game from the last twenty years so the mindless hordes can buy every game again. Then do the same on PS5...
@McSterls @Savino Surely there is no need for PS Now then? "Hey, pay a monthly amount to download old games! Oh, here's some remasters you suckers will pay full price for while already giving us a monthly fee! Mwuhahahaha..."
We already have the Pre-Sequel and Tales From to give us our Borderlands fix until the third game arrives. No need to oversell the series. You really wanna plug the gap before Borderlands 3? Put the Pre-Sequel on PS4/Xbox One like we all know you eventually will.
@Dodoo People are waiting, I presume, to see what is added. They said there would be sufficient additional content but we're still waiting to find out what it was. Yes, on Vita it's really good but I know I won't be buying it again unless there's a lot of new stuff and, most importantly, replay incentives. Once I finished the game there was no feeling or reason to ever touch it again - and I haven't.
Super Time Force Ultra. Wasn't even a good trailer but it's the only game that looks remotely interesting.
@Cloud7794 I thought it was hilarious to be honest. Everybody and his wife thought "IT'S HERE! REMAKE!" and the faces in the crowds at the show looked like children on Christmas Day. Then it was just a port of the slightly updated PC version and every person in the crowd (and 99.9% of people online) looked like they'd just been told their parents were seriously ill.
Messages take anywhere between minutes and hours to turn up on PS4 and on the app it's near impossible. For every message you get to read on the app there's thirty you never do. Maybe if they fixed them both what you said would be true but at the moment it simply isn't the case. For a console so keen to stress the social nature and "for the players" mentality to not have such a simple features (with options to select certain people or even turn it off) is ridiculous.
I also don't get the "it's distracting" argument. No, it isn't. There's no noise when a friend comes online on PS3 and not once has it affected me in any game whether it be a slow paced RPG or a split-second-mistake-and-you-die game such as Catherine.
I would have liked to have seen the people who run/work for this site show so much anger over the mess that was the DriveClub launch though. Was very a much a sense of criticise it but not too much incase Sony stop dealing with us. Whether or not that is true I don't know - and I'm certainly not questioning anyone's integrity, so please staff don't think that - but a game being near completely broken and the developers taking the Michael with all broken promises is a lot more serious than a few things likely being blocked for a week.
The more I see of this the less excited I get. Yes it's going to be great as Rocksteady are back in charge but it just looks like more of the same with a Batmobile thrown in. More of the same with a few things added on that add nothing is why Origins sucked.
Let's hope before they start serious work on it they play Bayonetta 2 to death, make an immense amount of notes and make a decent game (first had potential, rest I've been bored with) rather than a spectacle with some hack and slash action in. Bayonetta makes you feel bad ass and like you're in charge, God Of War just plods along until the next, admittedly usually stunning, set piece then makes you plod along again until set piece two and repeat too credits.
@Rapidaz You're right but what @Gamer83 is saying that so far all these great games out or coming are not exclusive to PlayStation so what's the point in us choosing the console when we have nothing on it we couldn't play on Xbox One? Least Microsoft has Sunset Overdrive. What have we got thus far...? Sony are currently "winning" this generation but let's be honest, only because it's the cheaper console.
@Carl-G What exactly is it you like about this game? All I see is cutscenes, QTE events and a great setting (Victorian London is always immense) wasted with predictable, bland crud trying to entice Gears Of Wars fans. Not trying to cause a barney, just wondering what you see that I don't.
@3rdEyeMind Any game by anyone has the potential to be your favourite of all time. That's why it's potential.
As for Persona 5 I'm hoping it's there and I'm hoping it's not. I want it like mad but I don't wanna hear or see anything, just when it's done release it and let's go.
Personally I just want to see something from the Sound Shapes team. The rest up there (besides Arkham and No Man's Sky) I really couldn't give a damn about.
Kinda lost interest in Street Fighter after Alpha 3 (perfection) and the three and four series never really did anything from me. Keen to see how it turns out though as, at the end of the day, it's Street Fighter.
@Dohv Yeah as Sony have never once in their twenty years of PlayStation consoles paid for exclusivity have they? Pull your head out of the sand. The "low level" (as you call it) is somewhere Sony have been for years, along with all other console makers as it's what they all do.
But of a difference in the prices between the two Telltale games on Microsofts consoles. Is it Telltale themselves who are the greedy so and so's? Or Sony?
You people must be easily impressed if a simple colour change makes your jaw drop. Yes, it looks nice but reading the comments above you'd think it was made of solid gold and comes with free money.
So both Borderlands and Game Of Thrones on the same day for us in Europe? Nice. Oh, has anyone looked at the Borderlands trophies? Two in episode two have been got by some people, chapters one and five. Bit strange.
@Dodoo @get2sammyb Who really wants a PS3 now who doesn't/hasn't had one? Hardly anyone, so no surprise it's not been in the sales. Vita? Needs games people want - lots of people not just us dedicated handful - to be worthy of making a loss to get the appropriate money eventually back through game sales.
@get2sammyb "Remember, if you leave your system in Rest Mode, the device will pull down this patch and install it while you’re busy doing other things" If only that were true for me. Never once has that happened, despite everything being set up correctly.
As for GTA, I've had no problems at all online. Not one. Single player though? Guns not aiming thanks to a dead spot on the sticks, people/missions not being where they should, traffic randomly swerving into your way for no reason when you're on a time limit, the voice in the pad not playing all of a sudden (and hasn't for three days)...
@Tasuki Injustice and Infamous: First Light aren't AAA by any way. They're better known titles. That doesn't make them AAA. First Light is great fun but AAA? It's A at best.
@Bad-MuthaAdebis Good idea. Or the people moaning about people complaining in the first twenty-four hours could just not bother. For every one person on here saying "awful month" there's ten moaning at them for being "disloyal," "pathetic," "sad" or "ungrateful" for daring to have the nerve to think different from them.
It's better that there's a couple of big names in there but still find it poor personally. Injustice is boring (I just can't get into anything Netherealm make nowadays), Secret Ponchos looks boring too (not my type of game), First Light I've already Platted and is a red herring as it's about five hours long and Swapper just doesn't intrigue me.
Bigger picture wise it's good to see a couple of bigger names but nothing here is AAA. People confuse a well known name with AAA quality. These aren't. Will quieten a few naysayers though. As for me... my PS+ runs out in five days and I have no intention of renewing with this lineup so I'm intrigued to see the PS3/Vita titles. Then again what is actually left to give away on either of those consoles?
@PMasterTy9 Yeah, people forget we now use PS+ to pay for PSN. And the money is being well used there by Sony in making the service slower and more unreliable than ever.
@Godsire- The way Telltale are I can't see it being fans-only. If you've not read the books/seen the show certain nods and winks will likely mean nothing but, as with Wolf Among Us, I'm sure there's going to be a glossary of what and who everyone is discussing.
@seeafish They are casual and relatively easy games. They may have harder modes which are more for the diehard fans or those who like a challenge but they're primarily casual. Just like COD, Assassin's Creed, etc but no way near as popular.
Off topic but is anyone finiding aiming difficult? Shooting with either of my DualShock 4's is awful. The right sticks just isn't responsive enough, especially in first person mode. It feels like it's stuck in mud, The shooting range I aced nearly first go every time on PS3 yet on PS4 I'm struggling to get even a bronze.
@sinalefa On the contrary, majority of people seem to have had enough of GOW. If it is a new one - and I dearly hope it isn't - I hope the studio have been watching and playing Bayonetta 2. A single level in that has been more fun than all GOWs put together. No shame in learning from the best.
Jaime Lidell is in. That is all that matters. Nice to also hear Gorillaz and M.I.A but William (I'm not spelling his name how he moronically does it) has two songs? Which coin purse decided that?
@Punished_Boss_84 @get2sammyb The '80s is by far the best decade for music: Adam and The Ants, The Smiths, Paul Simon, The Clash, OMD, The Jam, Joy Division, New Order, one of Bowie's best periods, Pet Shop Boys, Human League, Michael Jackson, Jesus and The Mary Chain, The Stone Roses, Dinosaur Jr, Prince, The Cure Pixies, Talking Heads... it's the only decade that can realistically compete with the the '60s holy grail.
@ZeD No I just meant there's so many examples you could realistically use yet you chose a FarCry game that - amazing as it's being said it is - is just FarCry 3 with bells on and a slightly prettier GTAV. Neither of them are anywhere near to comparing to the argument (rightly or wrongly) that Mario and Zelda are the same. I know exactly the point you're trying to make, even though I personally think it's poppycock, but you made it so poorly you argument fell flat on it's face is all.
@get2sammyb I imagine there's thousands of Trophy Hunters waiting to find that out, all desperate to know whether to get the game (online ones popping) or sack it off (having to go through what they describe a "grind"). First world problems.
Has there been any confirmation as to what happens online yet? I know character progress carries over but do the Trophies? Personally I don't really care as I'm happy to mess about online and work my way up again (I'm one of the few who actually enjoyed it) but a couple of my mates are holding off as they don't wanna have to do it again, hoping the online ones ping straight away.
Third biggest ever? So ten whole people got it? On a serious note I really don't get the fuss over it not having a bundle, kids who want Minecraft have it on their consoles and parents phones/tablets. "Hey Daddy, can you buy me a machine for over £100 so I can play Minecraft, you know, the game I already have?" is, in nearly every house going to get the same answer, "No." A year, or longer, ago maybe but now it's too late. Like everything Sony do with the Vita.
@ztpayne7 If you go in with an open mind - as you should with everything, who cares if other people hate it, your own opinion is the most important - it's a great game.
@Aaronzord You could not be more right. The sequel is mind-bendingly awesome. Utterly addictive as hell but my word some of the challenges are grinding to the extreme (if you're a completionist like myself).
@naruball Have you played season two yet? They all pop up in it, one of them in a main way. Maybe more do actually but with the choices I made was just the one. As for your glitches part, take a look at some Sonic Boom ones on Wii U - proof rushing games (and half your staff leaving midway through) isn't a good idea. Just like having a Sonic game where YOU CAN'T RUN!
@KAPADO Playing Ghosts are you?
@JaxonH Other M is a vastly underrated game. People whine about it because of Samus not being Samus but the game itself is solid. If it had come out before the Prime series - and what a game the original Prime is! - then nobody would have complained about it as it feels more of a classic Metroid than the Prime games.
Murdered: Soul Suspects for me. Played forty minutes and I've done 29% of Trophies, which can't be right. How can the first Trophy you get (hunter or not) be a silver? Madness.
@naruball Only problem I had with the 400 Days DLC is the characters are all new so there's no attachment. Still very good but not quite as good as the main bulk of season one.
@rykkchii Difference is the other chefs aren't a continuous embarrassment to their owners, are they? Sony should be making sure the game works fine before releasing anything at all, paid or free. Or to your analogy, making sure they're not selling out of date food that's been humped by rats.
@KALofKRYPTON Nobody is dismissing what works works and from what I've heard, seen and had a quick go on it's a good game. Thing is for every person who's getting it working fine there's another who isn't and to say it's just challenges not working still isn't good enough - the game is for sale and does not work. But if you honestly think nearly six weeks is what it takes to get a game at near-working level after release - not even fully working - then it's you that needs to pull your head out your backside I'm afraid. The "mob rules" are people fed up with being told crap continuously about what's going on, still no PS+ version (not even a hint of it) and now releasing DLC before it's even working fully
That they're more concerned with getting DLC out - ultimately being forced to give it away for free - rather than fix the sodding thing tells you everything you need to know about Evolution. Imagine if EA or Activision announced "Hey, game's still broke, we're doing half an hours work each day to fix it, oh here's some DLC!" - the comments on every website would be full of outrage. Same should be here. Free or not it doesn't matter.
A shame and a meh from me. Shame as Sly 4 was the best one since the original for me, made it more platformy and got rid of a lot of the dreadful cast. Meh as it added characters just as dreadful and although good didn't feel right.
@adf86 Aye there's literally no reason for it to come to Blighty unless Sony spend hundreds of millions acquiring the biggest sports and American shows (which Sky would never let happen) or they fancy having their arse handed to them.

Game looks great but the more I see of the characters, especially with those voices, the more I think of this as One Direction in Final Fantasy.

Re: Feature: Did PlayStation Plus Represent Value for Money in 2014?
Have to say having tried Injustice last night that it's probably the worst game ever given away with PS+. For such a hyped-up fighting game it's so slow, boring and clunky. Netheralm deserve some massive credit for taking some of the best characters ever and wrecking them. A truly special skill that.

Re: Round Up: Grand Theft Auto V PS4 Reviews Extort Super High Scores
@ZeD A "new" FarCry and an old GTA are your arguments over a "new" Zelda and Mario? Really? That's the best you can do?
Re: Round Up: Grand Theft Auto V PS4 Reviews Extort Super High Scores
@get2sammyb I imagine there's thousands of Trophy Hunters waiting to find that out, all desperate to know whether to get the game (online ones popping) or sack it off (having to go through what they describe a "grind"). First world problems.
Re: Round Up: Grand Theft Auto V PS4 Reviews Extort Super High Scores
Has there been any confirmation as to what happens online yet? I know character progress carries over but do the Trophies? Personally I don't really care as I'm happy to mess about online and work my way up again (I'm one of the few who actually enjoyed it) but a couple of my mates are holding off as they don't wanna have to do it again, hoping the online ones ping straight away.
Re: Minecraft: PS Vita Edition Secures System's Third Strongest UK Debut
Third biggest ever? So ten whole people got it? On a serious note I really don't get the fuss over it not having a bundle, kids who want Minecraft have it on their consoles and parents phones/tablets. "Hey Daddy, can you buy me a machine for over £100 so I can play Minecraft, you know, the game I already have?" is, in nearly every house going to get the same answer, "No." A year, or longer, ago maybe but now it's too late. Like everything Sony do with the Vita.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 46
@ztpayne7 If you go in with an open mind - as you should with everything, who cares if other people hate it, your own opinion is the most important - it's a great game.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 46
@KAPADO Playing Ghosts are you?
@JaxonH Other M is a vastly underrated game. People whine about it because of Samus not being Samus but the game itself is solid. If it had come out before the Prime series - and what a game the original Prime is! - then nobody would have complained about it as it feels more of a classic Metroid than the Prime games.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 46
Re: Evolution Studios Prepares Free Apologetic DriveClub DLC
Re: Evolution Studios Prepares Free Apologetic DriveClub DLC
That they're more concerned with getting DLC out - ultimately being forced to give it away for free - rather than fix the sodding thing tells you everything you need to know about Evolution. Imagine if EA or Activision announced "Hey, game's still broke, we're doing half an hours work each day to fix it, oh here's some DLC!" - the comments on every website would be full of outrage. Same should be here. Free or not it doesn't matter.
Re: Sanzaru Games Crushes Sly Cooper PS4 Sequel Dreams
A shame and a meh from me. Shame as Sly 4 was the best one since the original for me, made it more platformy and got rid of a lot of the dreadful cast. Meh as it added characters just as dreadful and although good didn't feel right.
Re: PlayStation Vue Is Sony's Very Own TV, TV, TV Service
@adf86 Aye there's literally no reason for it to come to Blighty unless Sony spend hundreds of millions acquiring the biggest sports and American shows (which Sky would never let happen) or they fancy having their arse handed to them.
