Re: Free-to-Play Mega Hit Warframe Has Huge Plans for 2018 and Beyond

I have quite a few prime frames, no way am I getting rid of my data. But I also haven't played in quite some time. I have a couple friends still playing, I suppose I could jump on their coat tails to get back up to speed.

For me, it was the endless grind and the RNG of the RNG that frustrated me to stop playing. I just stopped having fun running missions 50+ times trying for one rare prime part.

@themcnoisy They've changed quite a bit since the beginning if you haven't played in a long time.

Re: You Can Customise ANTHEM's Damage Floaties to Your Tastes

@tatsumi Aiming is needed in WoW, just differently is all. And as I mentioned, I think all games would do better to add more customization of their HUDs. I think GoW could've used a better customization of it's HUD.

Yeah, I agree that large fonts blocking views is silly. I'm glad they are changing it. Sheesh, just a scroll tally on the side works, right?

Re: You Can Customise ANTHEM's Damage Floaties to Your Tastes

People must not have played much WoW or any MMO to complain about dmg numbers in the HUD. I'm with @Splat, gamers will complain about anything... or I'm more along the lines of twittrolls just like making noise per usual. But I like the customization of any HUD. Need more games that have that.

Re: We Want to Make People Think and Laugh and Cry, Says Sony

@kyleforrester87 "If you're pushing narrative you should take a leaf from Nier Automata." I gotta play this still... now is a good time during my lull of games to play as I've been playing Mad Max (which is okay, but pretty repetitive--I like the driving though).

I enjoy games where the characters grab me emotionally in the story. I can't play them all the time, but I do love them. TLOU is one of my all-time favorites for this reason. I enjoy the new Tomb Raider games for Lara's character as much as the gameplay. Same with the UC series, especially UC:TLL.

But I also enjoy games for being games. I'm old-school and grew up on platformers and dungeon crawlers. I enjoy Unravel and Journey and Child of Light type games.

Who am I kidding? I'm a gamer gurl nut who finds herself sitting in her underwear drinking whiskey playing videos for hours.

@AFCC I understand the context of your joke/sarcasm. But for me, making light of it diminishes those of us that are in the struggle. As for LGBTQ in this age being safe, we are for from it. In the US, most states still do not have anti-discrimination laws in place to protect LGBTQ. Sad.

I agree, people getting upset over Ellie kiss in the video is ridiculous, but the hate is real. That's why your comment, even if meant in jest, is a little cruel.

I have no hard feelings, and wasn't angry but I wanted to express the insensitivity of your joke. For those of us who have been disowned by family and friends, screamed at on the streets, threatened at work and lost jobs just for being who we are, you could say I'm sensitive about it.

Re: Guide: ANTHEM - Everything We Know So Far

This looks like it might be structured to have some fun with friends who drop on or you can go running through missions solo. I am more intrigued now than before... I was never a fan of Destiny (too much a rip-off of Warframe which I played a lot) but this looks different. I like Bioware, and the combat so far seems okay. But there have been so many great games with really good combat, so I'm hoping this one hold up. I like playing online with friends, so I'm hoping this one fits that need. Monster Hunter World really has been fun, but it also has a mindless grind to it and RNG of the RNG goddess which is annoying haha!

If the grind isn't awful and the missions are fun solo or with friends, I will look to getting this one. Feb 2019? Aren't there a few other games coming out then?

2. Spider-man (totally sold on this now... webslinging across Manhattan? Yes please!!
3. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (From Software doing samurai with a cyber-arm?! Whaaaa?! I'm soooooooo in.

Re: EA Gives the Middle Finger to Those Against Women in Battlefield V

@LaNooch1978 @Gamer83 I think TLOU2 trailer was more about who Ellie is as a character and the shock value--not of her kissing another woman--but jumping from that tender moment into knife stabs in the neck of her enemy. Because, really, in today's world if someone is all bothered about two gals kissing they are in for some serious waking up. The world has changed. It's still not always safe for LGBTQ, but it's changed a lot just from 10-15 years ago and it's not slowing down. They're just internet trolls. And I think it says a lot about ND's stand on the issue (and the clicks don't hurt)

Nioh wasn't the best and this looks better to me. More action focused, at least from the trailer. Who knows with From Software though... they can be super creative. I liked the rope swinging and some of those move sets. I'm a fan!

Oh, and to all those saying Nioh ticked the samurai box... not hardly and there can't be too many samurai games in my opinion. Nioh was one type of game genre. we don't even know the exact type of game this is yet. Don't like samurai? Don't buy it.

"And, while this world is full of adrenaline, don't let the car chases and guns mislead you. Cyberpunk 2077 us a
true single player, story-driven RPG."

Well, this is good news for me. The trailer is a little something, but CDPR isn't one to make games lightly and the success of W3 means they can do it on their own timeline. That's cool, I'll wait.

I'm with @Neolit and this will most likely turn into a PS5 release, which will be dope.

Re: Bloodborne and Horizon Sequels Touted for E3 2018, But Don't Get Your Hopes Up

@NintendoFan4Lyf "I would like to see more variation to characters and weapons - maybe have more acrobatic characters with varying movesets. Maybe have dual knives and no block, but higher dodging speed and a high-stamina counter-attack. Perhaps I am missing the point since I am still a Souls novice."

I think maybe you might want to grab more weapons in Bloodborne and experiment with different builds. You can do exactly this in Bloodborne with skill builds and weapons, especially the Old Hunters DLC weapons. My favorite is Rakuyo.

Re: Poll: Ultimate PlayStation Character Tournament: Top 16 - Matches 119-120

starhops

@Oscartes "Ultimate Playstation Character" doesn't mean most Playstation brand or Playstation exclusive only or else those characters wouldn't be in the tourney. It's the Ultimate Playstation Character... which is a character that happens to be on the Playstation. You can interpret however you want, to be sure, but there are no rules regarding Playstation branding... you could also say which character sold more Playstations, and sure wasn't Sackboy...

Re: Guide: 19 Things We Wish We Knew Before Starting Dark Souls Remastered

Bloodborne is definitely more my play style--fast, dodging, quick attacks (I will always be a rogue from my vanilla WoW + 7 years) and tend to build most my characters (when having a choice) in that game style. I've never been a fan of the clank & spank. I'm not opposed to getting this, but most likely when it drops in price. It's hard to pass on such a classic From Software.
