@get2sammyb I still play this with a group of friends and we still have a lot of fun. I sometimes join them on their Twitch streams. The biggest thing for me with the current SWB is the lack of balance. They included gimicky items that unbalance the game. And the way they split the player-base with the DLC content. The DLC queue system is pretty poor design.
I'm looking forward to seeing how they manage this next game.
@TheGZeus With 32 possible endings, I suppose they could use Ciri as a main after all. You can pretty much just pick one ending to continue. Well, since they no longer "make" witchers, maybe Ciri would be a good choice. Regardless, I'm game for ANY new Witcher game.
I feel Geralt deserves his retirement and to spend his days naked with his 'ship of your choosing.
SPOILER!!
Me? Oh, he's with Yennefer. And no way Ciri can come back even though she'd be awesome.
@GAMINGLORY I think making your own Witcher would be the way to go.
@ShogunRok Good solid review! I still picked it up and I'm sure I'll enjoy the "Mass Effect" feel you mentioned. @lixei32 I did enjoy DA:I but there wasn't much to play when it came out. Then The Witcher 3 came out and I never went back to DA:I lol
@ShogunRok Having never played a Persona game before (I know, I know, be gentle!), do you think I'd be lost playing 5? It looks fantastic and the gameplay sounds intriguing. I love games that have some style. I remember how explosive the style of WET was on the PS3.
@Cyph0Lax @ThroughTheIris56 @GraveLordXD @Mr_Alejo Well, let's be careful we don't trip over our privilege. If you're not a minority, then it's impossible to know what it's like to live in their shoes.
Fighting stereotypes is healthy as it creates conversation and brings awareness to the privileged state. Blaming it on "political correctness" diminishes the point of tolerance and diversity, essentially giving a green light to ignore the damage caused by racial insensitivity.
Another strong update. I'm still looking for the one that I can upgrade the capacity of my personal ship. I found a style I really love but it doesn't grow up with me.
Adding my two cents in: Rocket League first off, has cars that you drive; second, it has cars that you drive fast; third, it has cars you drive fast and smack a giant ball to try and score goals. This game looks fun, but lacks that speed, flying through the air and the creative dynamics of Rocket League. IMHO, of course.
@get2sammyb Thanks, Sammy. I will be sure to add it in. I just saw ABZU and Unravel on sale (at least in the U.S.) in the store too. More to play! Yay for me.
@AFCC I've had some odd sound moments in parts of the game where the sound design isn't consistent. For example, walking up stairs, the sound changed instantly to a completely different sound set. It was enough that I noticed it and broke the immersion feeling. Not a big deal, as the Witcher 3 had some crazy sound moments too (and I'm not talking the creepy children singing )
@Gamer83 For me, it depends on the type of grinding. Repeated mission running over and over to farm for gear i.e. Destiny or Warframe, then no thank you. I'm tired of the RNGx(RNG) game mechanic. Running around in RPG open-world farming/hunting/questing, I can do.
This is about objectification of women in video games, not about being offended by some cheeky tushy exposed in the game. It's the stereotyping of women as sex objects and things like this add to this culture.
I'm a woman and I'm not offended by the sexy display of their outfits but I am saddened that women are still sex objects in video games when you can blow their clothes off (more of less). Or have cartoonish huge bosoms like some characters in SMITE.
Granted, it's getting much better, but as @kyleforrester87 put it, this is rather pointless in the game.
@get2sammyb Yeah, I like Kotaku myself. I enjoy the silliness and the community is pretty witty. The GIFs of the AI conspiracy theory were great! I also liked the one they did on trying to stop the AI train in GTA Online.
@Azikira I think the media focuses on the bad more than the good stories. Even as humans we tend to do that, when there is good all around us our rose tinted glasses don't always see. Pay it forward.
@GBMatthew Twitter, the truth in alternative facts. Hey, I'm all for checking up on companies I buy from, but your link goes to a cluster F of stuff. Source checked info would be great, if you can provide it.
Hmmm, I'm putting The Witcher 3 and Bloodborne in this mindset. Would I rather keep paying for really good DLCs once or twice a year or play a new game? Maybe a little of both for me. Granted neither one of those have the online multiplayer base Ubisoft seems to be focusing on, but I know I would love another Witcher DLC story to fall into.
@get2sammyb Could it be more about price point to profit over manufacturing costs over digital? I mean, if they don't make enough discs, they force more into digital copies which is more profit. We might see more of this model in the future with less physical copies available. I wonder what the digital/disc ratio is these days for games.
I'd like to try it out. I've watched some videos and there looked to be some cheese moves with certain weapons and characters that were near impossible to beat. Hopefully those things will get tweaked as the game rolls forward like most PvP type games. 20GB?! GREAT SCOTT!
@Ralizah Did you say you've played both TLOU and Bloodborne? For me, two amazing games and to slate TLOU characters as "uninteresting" seems pretty out there. I would say that might be true up until you meet Ellie and begin to work your way through the story. Keep in mind, it's also almost 4 years old and still holds it's own just fine. Bloodborne was better for me than Souls games because of its faster pace. Some of the best boss fights I've ever played against and the DLC multiplied that x2. @kyleforrester87 I agree. I enjoyed Journey, but I've only gone back to play a couple times through. Not sure it deserves #1 Opinions... we all got 'em!
@BAMozzy I want to say "HUZZAH and THANK YOU!" for your tech insight and contributions to the PushSquare community. I learn so much from you and I appreciate your time in sharing with us.
@get2sammyb "It reminded me of BioShock in that you have a bunch of tools and you can choose how you want to use them." Yeah, I really like games with good fighting style options. From what I've seen, the combat looks almost like a class system in itself. Would you say that, Sammy, having played it?
@Matroska I still feel there can be too much "hand-holding" the developers create for players. I hope I don't always have a highlighted path placed before me, like Tomb Raider. Even Uncharted 4 had a few too many highlighted paths, but they did a good job in delaying any help your NPC might offer. It wasn't perfect, but it was much better.

Sounds like click-bait to get your ad revenue. Not you PS, but the false claim headlines.

Yay! Life has been in my way, so I haven't played in about a week. Now I'm inspired to play after the patch!
Re: Review: Old Time Hockey (PS4)
Yay hockey! Just in time for playoffs. A score of 5 is good in hockey but not so much for video game reviews. Shame.

I prefer the 2D platformer over this. I agree with @itshoggie; looks like Maze Runner with Sonic skin.
Re: Round Up: Mass Effect: Andromeda PS4 Reviews Fail to Set the Universe Alight
I'm already getting it. Hopefully the multiplayer will help make up for the rest.

Re: Guide: The Best External HDDs for PS4
@get2sammyb I was hoping the hub would work as well. Bummer! It would've been nice to have my controller charger attached to it.
I went with the Seagate Expansion Desktop 4T instead.

Am I the only one who thinks they went a little soft on the title? "Shadow of War" seems pretty lazy.
