The Controller People will customize the Dualshock PS4 controller with bottom triggers you can map and trigger stops and a lot of other cool stuff, colors, etc. You can even send them your own controller and let them do the work for you. They are really great controllers and a good company! In the UK, but they will ship to US as well. I love mine.
I don't want a video-gamey The Last of Us II like this last God of War. There are plenty of games out there that do that already. I want a narrative, character driven story like the first game. I already care about Ellie and Joel and the choices made in the first game.
There will be no Bloodborne 2, at least not in From Software's next game release. I can't wait to see what they have in store for us next! Bloodborne was a nice surprise shift from Souls, so maybe a new IP similar in style? Would they dare move that far from their signature "souls/echos" game mechanic?
@YummyHappyPills It wasn't showing something too soon over something else, but changing direction and creating The Witcher 3 instead. They admitted this change of direction. Seems it paid off.
@YummyHappyPills The Witch 3 settle first? It's 3 years old with 2 DLCs. And I don't think anyone cares if it's on the XBox stage or not as it will be released on both systems. Let's just see the game stuff.
@get2sammyb Didn't From Software say there will be no Bloodborne 2 about a bizillion (that's a lot I reckon) times? I'm game for wahtever they have up their proverbial creepy minds in store for a future game. I voted for TLOU 2 though... that trailer gives me chills every time.
@LieutenantFatman That's F-d up for sure. I will have to play this one. I usually avoid the heavy story driven games as I use my gaming for escaping, saving the heavy stories for movies and shows. At least it was PS Plus!
Omensight and Forgotten Anne I call my casual "Saturday morning coffee games," which I enjoy as much as my AAA games. Trailblazers looks fun as well, and Dark Souls Remaster when it falls in price.
@kyleforrester87 Well, poop. Sorry about that. I was excited to get dolphin tortured again. This is missing too many for me to grab up unless it was cheap.
Oooo! This looks like a game I will play. I enjoy these little jaunts off the AAA titles. Most times they are just as emotionally rewarding and a nice mystery/clue hunting game is a good escape from the daily wear.
@Paranoimia Well, the overall gameplay style is not going to change. Games based on online play have betas to mainly test how the servers/players handle the net code, etc. Gameplay rarely changes. Oh, there might be some tweaks or balance issues which only show up when you have so many people playing, but the style of the game is there for everyone to check out.
But hey, if you don't want to try the beta to see if you like the game, I sure don't care. To each there own. Enjoy!
@Quintumply Thanks for the heads up! I forgot about this one and I'll check out the beta for sure. Any developer willing to move outside the box a little is worth trying out.
@TheTetrisGuy There isn't any real customization in this game. You can't call a new victory pose or a new emote customization. Or that random "new" class alien skin everyone else has on... they lack so much from SWBF15.
There is no "leak" for season 2 as it's all part of the plan to try and keep players since the player base is getting smaller and smaller.
Please tell me they will be using Stewart Copeland's soundtrack for the first game. That's a great soundtrack--one of my all time favorites from this era.
Uh oh... I read this, "...reimagined version of composer Stewart Copeland’s soundtrack."
@themcnoisy Heh, not really unless you can throw strikes over the plate at 100 mph or hit the ball 400 ft. and only if you're in the American league playing DH. I don't know about you, but I don't know too many "fat" people that can do that... Post steroid use, the athletes are coming back...
@Kidfunkadelic83 It's a pretty subtle game with a lot of stuff going on. I love it, but I grew up with it.
@Gamer83 I haven't seen it yet but I will when it comes to the pub theater where I can watch it with s slice of pizza and a pint of micro brew. I don't mind these movies if they're are decent enough and fun. And I am a total fan of Alicia Vikander. In Ex Machina and Danish Girl she was amazing.
Don't read the review if you don't want to read about a film... sheesh. I think it's relevant since it's a video game movie, especially a long time franchise like Tomb Raider. People these days... yikes!
@Octane It's interesting to hear you say how the "blank slate" character creation can't be a character that's been written for in a game. The character is a character, the creation of looks is just a skin. Even with Geralt (and Aloy to a lesser degree), you had choices of how to play him; save the innocent, let them die, etc. Whether it was Geralt is irrelevant (subtracting the previous games and game based on a book character) it's still a character written within a controlled universe that you get to become--Geralt.
I'm guessing it might be more a Commander Shep situation. I'm fine with that. I loved my FemShep (@Kidfried you mean there are male Sheps ). I like creating my own characters. I feel more invested in them for some reason. Plus, being an older woman gamer, I grew up not having much choice in the overly male dominated character days, so I take it when I can get it!
@F-racsO Yes, it was! I know one day I will want to play it all again. I can't even remember season one of Jessica Jones in detail without rewatching let alone the depth and detail of the entire Witcher 3 + DLC! haha sooooooooooo goooooooood
@JoeBlogs I believe you just made @get2sammyb point. And Mario Kart was a system seller just as much as Street Fighter 2 to the SNES with a different demographic.
@Fight_Teza_Fight Yep, Palico with flash cage and carry flash pods with full bag of flash bugs and you can craft them on the run (I head back to camp when I get low when he flies off). Keep at him! His rawr and wind stun is annoying and even at higher rank he can 1-2-3 you.
We can see it coming too with those stuns... "oh no... no, no no no no!" ugh! Stupid dragon.
@Rudy_Manchego They still struggle with gameplay balancing... over-nerfing, under-nerfing, ignore-nerfing. I was playing pretty much every day until they made some changes and things got unbalanced due to those... meh. And like I said, it has gotten a little boring with the same gameplay. They need new game modes. Bring in Supremacy! The maps are made for it. Now that would be some fun.
@Tulio517 It didn't take long to unlock them before, truthfully.
I'm glad they are doing this, but their gameplay is a bigger issue. The game modes have gotten boring and the one new mode they do release they release it as "temporary." Huh? And the over/under nerfing unbalances the game too much. I wonder if they even play their own game or just read the forums on making changes...
I've enjoyed the origin TR story and games. I'd rank them in line with Uncharted, though not quite as polished in the storytelling, but in overall fun and adventure, Lara holds her own against Drake. But I am glad this will be the last origin game. The movies, including the new one, have all told her origin... kinda like Spider-man... wait! We can tell it better!
