Pretty fun and the main boss fights are intense. It does suck that sometimes the difficulty scales insanely just because I didn't get a gacha roll with the required element at that point when all else fails I just use Natasha and Clara.
@twinspectre90 Majority of games have dumb AI due to their limited animation sets and skill trees it's how games are built. Fighting games on the other hand AI has the same available skills as the player.
Don't they do a few of these shows each year? So they probably have more decent stuff to show later. Only games of interest on display to me were Spidey 2 and Phantom blade (which will probably never see the light of day). I'm on an ff16 trailer ban so it can all be fresh for when I play in the coming months.
Cool cg trailer, any leaked gameplay footage floating around online or news on when we can expect to see some? Probably in the next couple of months before the beta I guess. The new assist sounds like the old Marvel vs Capcom assist. This is probably how they keep the roster from the old timeline or get fans to vote for which assist character they would like to be fully playable. If that's the case I'd welcome it.
Honkai Star Rail for me. At lv 32 trailblazer and still haven't rolled Seele or Himeko Rng curse is back again. Also finishing off the guardian games and working on new solar builds (R.I.P Starfire) in Destiny 2.
Imagine if we only get 7 characters just like the original. I wouldn't mind if each character had a lot of moves and variations like an actual martial artist would aka tekken/soul calibur characters combined. Individual fleshed out full length character story campaigns would also be welcome.
Disney and WB have pretty much ended my love for superheroes so I'm not interested in this anymore as it will probably be more of the same vanilla story nonsense they've been force feeding us for the last decade. Read some people complain about the fighting being too "Arkham like" but that's more how spiderman fights than batman as I could never reconcile him unrealistically sliding halfway across the screen to backhand counter an enemy. That kept ruining the game for me as felt like a bug. In any case I'd much rather see/play 2099 spiderman or a zombieverse setting but they'd never do that as videogames are a business and entertainment is a secondary byproduct.
FF8 is still no1 for me. It came out in my angsty teenage years when I also had exams to do just like the brilliant SEED tests. One of the few titles in the series (if not only) that tested and rewarded your knowledge on the enemies, lore and mechanics. Can't believe XV scored so low that was an awesome game, also paved the way for the new gameplay mechanics that will be the norm for ff games moving forward. If at all possible please redo this after we have had a chance to play 16 I would very much like to partake in the voting next time around.
@throwmeaname the gacha name is from the east Asian hand cranking toy vending machine. Sorta the equivalent of kinder surprise over here. Pay some money for a random toy and in this case character. though you get lots of free tickets in the game at the mo not sure if that will still be the case further down the line.
@get2sammyb You're right its definitely on par with full priced JRPG's and if you're lucky to have a good rng like I'm currently experiencing (first time ever), you'll have more 5 star characters than you know what to do with.
@Samholy so far honkai doesn't seem as much as a time sink as genshin. The game feels more "compact". With genshin I'd be running around for an hr or so before doing any main quest. With honkai the main quests are always a few steps away... so far anyway.
@twitchtvpat That is the main topic of discussion. The fact that the base game was so incomplete they received massive backlash and still got away with charging for DLC twice.
@twitchtvpat To my knowledge there are 3 sfv versions. Base, arcade edition and championship edition. Each being sold at full price at their points of release.
@Korgon Yea I watched the world tour videos and it does boast more content than other similar modes previously attempted in the genre but I would not purchase it if it was marketed and sold as a standalone rpg hence my comments of it having rpg "elements". Even though it looks like fun i'd much rather the world tour was with the main characters (similar to shaolin monks) but that's a tall order. I'd defo wait 10 yrs for that though. I'm glad there are fans excited for sf6 as it shows they are still releasing desirable content but as someone who has been a life long fighting/action game fan unfortunately my expectations have exceeded what they now produce. I will be taking a wait and see approach with this.
@huyi Yea I remember E honda being dlc and was not pleased with that either. I don't think capcom know of any lessons to learn. They go by what consumers do and if we keep buying each version of the same game and the dlc they will see it as a win and keep taking liberties cause all they have to do is an apology and a payed update and the masses praise them for their efforts again and again.
@Korgon Konquest mode was probably the best that could be done on older hardware within their budget and time constraints. It's a pretty safe bet that if they include such a mode in the next Mk it would be far superior. Even the crypt mode in Mk11 was pretty darn good except for being devoid of life (random ghost attacks don't count). Not sure how many rpg's you have played but this is far from a complete rpg. From what I've seen it has rpg "elements" and the majority of what was shown was cosmetic options which will probably receive backlash on their pricing. With regards to the dlc, yes it is just speculation on my part but all it takes is one bad actor to crack the game on pc (I do not condone this behavior) for that to be confirmed one way or another so only time will tell.
@stinkyx It's not about price it's about content and yes I will be waiting till the completed version is out. There are more than enough games to enjoy till then.
@Korgon Other fighting games have had versions of "world tour" modes for decades now. Mk, Soul calibur and even Guilty gear X. Not placing blame for capcom not leading the the charge on those fronts but from their track record I am convinced this is not going to be the only version of SF6. That's what I meant by "incomplete". The game is not even shippped and they are announcing the first batch of DLC. I'm sure those characters are already made and are behind the timed release pay wall. DLC was supposed to be for patches and fine tuning now it's a way for devs to milk consumers.
@WallyWest I'm an old gamer and when DLC first became an option I was all up for it and that was exactly what I thought would be the case with SF4 and then 5 but I was fooled both times. It is highly likely there will be an ultra/super/arcade/championship sf6.
@Amnesiac I'm guessing you got it during some sort of sale as sf DLC is not cheap. And as I stated earlier there's no reason for devs to launch incomplete games when top tier devs are working passionately on a game for a decade to release the best and most complete version of their vision. And before the endless barrage ensues yes I understand that there are multiple reasons for releasing games early and expecting DLC to pick up the slack but are any of them worth it at the gamers expense? Even with all the DLC there are still 2 or more full versions of both sf4 and 5
@WallyWest Check the release dates of those titles. They were years apart. Now you buy a fighting game and 3-4 months they want you to buy DLC or fork out extra at launch for characters down the line. As for MK3 and Scorpion there were various stories at the time as he was most players main (mine included) It boiled down to time constraints apparently. I don't mind waiting much longer for a game if they need more time but using DLC as a reason to release an unfinished product is not cool especially if you're gonna charge for it. FF15 was in development for 10 yrs and was worth it imo.
@get2sammyb I've watched it and I agree that sf6 looks like it will have more content than 4&5 combined. I was referring to fighting games in general that have been available since the advent of DLC the only studio that still packed their games with content were netherealm studios.
DLC has enabled devs to outright take the piss and release incomplete games whereas before DLC they had to add every single character they could before the next iteration of the game they also had to add all the different game modes to ensure their games were played and talked about fir the longest period of time possible but now you just get online vs and if lucky a practice mode. I play fighting games a lot less now than I did before DLC because there is never enough content to keep me engaged long enough.
I saw some of those leaks. They weren't exactly "spoilers". The ones I saw were about changes to certain systems like character levelling and such. I think those kinds of discussions should be opened to the entire gaming community and not just a select few who spend 14k hrs on the game. DE have an open community with warframe and It's really great how they interact with their entire player base.
Couldnt get into any of the live action films as the actors were far too skinny and especially since the amazing animated film was made. maybe if they go through the thor or 300 insane work out and look close enough to their game counterparts. If not i'd rather they make an animated movie. Maybe one with the new sf6 art style would be worth a watch.
Isn't exoprimal dino crisis in the future? I'm surprised only 6% interested in Onimusha but I guess it's due to the flood of souls like games. I'd still like a remake though with the same non souls like gameplay. I also would like them to remake power stone that game would do a lot better in today's market.
There's still a huge DC fan base that buys or watches anything they churn out maybe they want to use this turd to see how that demographic will spend. They know its a turd but at least they want to make it the shiniest turd possible.
Could you cover build crafting 2.0 please. Strand is definitely a lot of fun especially during the campaign when it refills much faster and lets you do some insane skills. The final boss on legendary became fairly easy once we realised we could keep throwing grenades to interrupt his attacks. Only real challenge was the tormentors. Yea those guys are a major pain but hella fun.
Sounds like a sham. It seems like they only crowned it as it's based off a western ip. There are so many much much better anime deserving of that reward.

@KidRyan Zenless Zone Zero. The next Hoyoverse game. Looks like a cyberpunk genshin.
