Re: Overwatch 2 Racks Up More Than 25 Million Players in Its First 10 Days

It's definitely a lot of fun and the change to 5v5 makes it more fast paced but some characters need nerfing. Total mayhem is my favorite mode but Zarya being able to constantly have an infinite shield brings a fast paced game to a standstill all she has to do is stand in the capture point or on the target vehicle and spam shield. The only ways to move her are with reindharts dash or winstons ult.

Re: The Last of Us Was 'Ahead of Its Time', Sony Wanted 'Definitive Version'

lol sure Sony "ahead of it's time". You can only say that if it didn't meet sales expectations which it did. Get a better PR team for your money grabbing excuses.
I fear that games are now going the route of comics and movies. This is why DC and Marvel suck now constantly restarting their stories to seem relevant. Japan is a much smaller country and yet they have boundless creativity with their stories. Maybe the West should look into why they are stagnating as opposed to rehashing and retelling just to keep the funds coming in.

Re: Ed Boon: We Haven't Made the Last Mortal Kombat Yet

@huyi lol Steve Rogers became irrelevant when the war ended but has been milked for almost a century since. I'm glad MK is aging out their non immortal characters and making solid stories for the new generation. Hopefully when we are old there will be a Johnny Cage Junior who wants to be like grandpa but just as lame with the jokes.

@Olmaz I get what you mean but the infinite customization of MK11 was a drag only because the items didn't have unique or individual stats like the gear of injustice 2. If they did that system would have been amazing as opposed to "what looks good and do I have any useful gems to attach" Hopefully they address this in the next game. Liukang with full dragon gear and buffs, scorpion with hellspawn gear and buffs, so many entertaining play styles could be created if they added those features just as my dark knight batman gear still does till today.

Re: Onimusha Finally Returns... As a Netflix Anime

z0d15g0d

Dunno if Capcom will make another Onimusha game anytime soon there's enough Samuninja type souls games around and that's probably the direction the game will go in. They should give us power stone. No one has done anything similar all the others are 2.5D like smash.

Re: GTA 6 Leak Won't Disrupt Development, Rockstar Vows to Exceed Expectations

z0d15g0d

Don't know why anyone would complain about seeing the early builds and say negative comments about a work in progress. It's like seeing spiderman mocap suit on set and saying the film will be trash. Gamers by now should have an idea of what game builds look like with software like unreal and unity being free and the billions of "how to make ..." floating around on you tube. Clearly just the trolls just being trolls not gamers.

Re: Watch 10 Minutes of Forspoken PS5 Gameplay in New Overview Video

I was excited for this when it was first revealed now not so much. The traversal looks fun but they need to work on her transition animations. I'm guessing her cocky dialogue is to make her "cool" but she ain't no DMC3 Dante. From the comments I agree that they should have hired a better marketing team. Why show the traversal through an empty world for 9 mins and show potential bosses in 1 sec clips. Show me a boss battle damn it that'll really get me excited about this again if it's decent.

Re: Spider-Man PC Attracts Over 60,000 Concurrent Players at Launch

@TheDaddyOtaku Agreed. I hope the fact that these exclusives are making money on PC lets Sony give the developers more time on whatever they are working on as they are still making returns on their investments. Haha over half the planet uses some form of windows. They get their monees either way. Saving up for a gaming rig is defo worth it and nowadays there are plenty of buyers looking for a used rig.

Re: Spider-Man PC Attracts Over 60,000 Concurrent Players at Launch

@zupertramp You are correct in your understanding that under the right circumstances the required components would be scarce. The issues with GPU's started with scalpers and crypto farms then the Taiwan issue which affected most electronic companies as that's where they get a lot of their integral components from. The issue is still on going by the way. As a company, if a provider with a stable flow materials is no longer stable you look for an alternate source (Congo) or you go in a different direction. Just as Nintendo didn't want to spend so much on R&D for a graphics war they knew they might not win, If the cost of acquiring the components is no longer financially viable they will need to shift their approach. The current China wanting Taiwan back (if successful) will mean an obvious change in the way they do business internationally. Hopefully for the better but you never know. So it's not "Doom mongering" to speculate on the future of the industry based on whats happening in the world now. In fact such forecasting is an integral part of most games design courses called "Design Futures". With regards to demand as I stated earlier, streaming is not there yet but once there is a viable option to get a TV combined with a console with lag free streaming that will be the norm and consoles will die out. Ms is doing a multi billion colab with samsung on this at the moment so we will see how that turns out. Might be a gimmick to you but people smarter than you and I think it's the way forward.

Re: Spider-Man PC Attracts Over 60,000 Concurrent Players at Launch

z0d15g0d

@zupertramp I don't think so. Consoles are defo on their way out. If anything the current crisis with not being able to meet demands due to human stupidity or other has hurt Sony's sales forecasts big time. They have the funds but cant get the resources to build the consoles (First the Taiwan issue with chip shortage then pandemic). That's almost 2 years they could not meet consumer demands through no fault of their own. The next play would be to look for an alternative which will be streaming. Yes still in its infancy but rapidly building steam due to mostly social media platforms. They save money in the long run and make further profits from their exclusive titles. PS6 will probably be the last. The next will be a hybrid then fully online probably integrated with their next TV.

@theMEGAniggle Yea the older I get the less I care about day 1 releases. I've been through enough of that waiting for patches and fixes that there really isn't a point to getting most of them right away. Plus with a massive games backlog that's still accumulating over the years I will always have more than enough titles to keep me busy till the "perfected" versions come out on PC. So long as you can avoid spoilers there's no reason not to wait for the best.
