Hey look, it's another Pathfinder article and here is "Athrum" to sing praises about this game again. Wrath of the Rightous is an absolute beast of a game, as @Clytorial_Impact (dude, that name) wrote above me, it's one of the best CRPGs since BG2. And don't even get me started on the soundtrack, it's amaaaazing.
The (very dodgy) document is out. Its a remaster, not a remake. So, there's that.
Also, I still don't know why people get upset at this, if you don't like it, don't buy it. You can get the PS4 version for 10 euros.
And if you think that a studio like Guerrila that has....what? 300+ people working there, has everyone working on the remaster, then you really need to learn more about how games are made.
This needs another option for No, because I'm not interested but don't think it is a waste of resources.
First, if you think they're doing this over a sequel for HZFW or DLC you're nuts. Also I doubt it is a remake, probably more of a remaster, and if you have played or own HZD you're not the target audience.
Not defending Sony here, I don't care about what major corps do, but I keep seeing this discourse everywhere as if this is new in the industry. In the meantime Nintendo keep doing this every single generation and there's not even half the articles/posts/etc about it in most media places or twitter or wtv. I mean Skyrim just got a new version a couple weeks ago. How many are those now?
@Blacksmith1985 BY that point alone you wouldn't buy most games, cause they're made in the States, and well.....you know how they are with invasions and whatnot.
Anyway, this game is amazing, I cannot stop singing praises about it, if you like CRPGS this is a must play.
I wonder if the points expire like in the Nintendo eshop. I had around 5€ of points there that took me forever to gather, just to have them expire on me.
I think it starts really strong with a nice story and characters but it totally ***** the bed on the last 2 episodes by going waaaaay over the top, but that's Studio Trigger for you, they're basically the studio that churns shows that look like the parodies you see about anime. Should've gone with studios that are more used to mature stories like Production I.G. or Madhouse.
I'm going to pass on this one. Combat was kinda fun, but the map was just barren, I spent more time breaking crates for crystals than actually fighting.
Don't know why people still think there will be a showcase. If you look at the 1st party studios you can take guesses at where they are with their projects based on industry knowledge alone and most of them have nothing to show unless you would like just CG trailers galore. As for 3rd party, those games have been shown on other game shows already,
So by doing the challenges alone you need 61 days to reach level 55, which is the duration of the battlepass (2 months). So basically if you miss a day, you get the hero locked, I wonder how do you unlock it afterwards, do the old BPs stay available like avengers, or do they rotate out and you need to fork over 20€ or something to unlock the heroes.
The "This is horrible for devs" thing just shows how stupid it is for this industry to be so secretive. If the studios were more open about projects, work in progress and dev diaries we wouldn't have kerfufles like this one (apart from the stolen source code).
It's too much already. Doing this cheapens the end of 6, you know....the end of HIS STORY. Let the dude retire, this makes it seem like they're afraid to write a new compelling main char, when Ichiban is perfectly fine (maybe even more so than Kiryu).
Why do devs keep doing this. Just show it at TGS. Now people will tune in and they'll show the same things for a 3rd time (the other news were done earlier this year already) with a new RE4 trailer that shows 2 new minutes of footage. It's tiresome, to be honest.
These dudes really cannot stick with a naming convention eh? I like that they're honoring the original name, but its weird that they skipped 7 and now it's "Like a Dragon 8" ?!
By the way, this is helmed by Nioh 2's director, so it may be another "nioh-like". Also, it's set during the Bakumatsu period, thank jeebus, enough with the Sengoku games.
It was nice. Didn't go expecting much. Project Eve continues to look great, and I liked the new "Nioh" shame that one is slatted for 2014. GoW trailer was cool, but I honestly don't need to see more of that game.
We'll probably get some of the announcements that we got in the direct already. Also, the hype around these are the people's fault, everyone hypes themselves up to a tizzy and then get disappointed. Expect nothing and you'll be surprised in the positive sometimes.
Well, it's not like they had lack of feedback. But everyone and their mother is going after that Destiny-like cash cow, when they don't even realize that people hate how Destiny is monetized to hell and back, the only reason it doesn't sink now is that people are way too invested/addicted already.
"XXXXXXXXXXX is Spiders Studio's best game to date, but one too many bugs and tech issues hold it back from greatness." - every Spiders' games released Jokes aside, its nice that it is a good game, maybe I'll pick it up at a discount.
Remember when they said for 15 years that an AC set in Japan was too obvious of a setting and then we got that game that looked like AC in japan and sold a ***** load?

The monetization in this game is especially egregious.
Re: The Last of Us Was 'Ahead of Its Time', Sony Wanted 'Definitive Version'
@get2sammyb In the leaked document, it stated Horizon remaster, not a remake.

Kinda waiting for this and Diofield to both be 10€ before I grab them.
Re: Final Fantasy Composer Nobuo Uematsu Joins Shadow Hearts Spiritual Successor, Penny Blood
I'm so stoked for Penny Blood. The Shadow Hearts games are great, I absolutely love SH Covenant. Serioulsy, if you like JRPGS go and play it.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Tops 20 Million Copies Sold
Last gen versions apart (which really shouldn't have been released) people seem to forget the absolute mess that the Witcher 3 was when it released.
Re: Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Won't Have Difficulty Options, Producer Says It's 'Not an Easy Game'
I liked it, so I'll get it. Apart from that, don't really care.
Re: Wild Hearts Is EA's Feudal Japan Fantasy Game, Set to Be Revealed This Week
Ok, so it's not Toukiden. This actually got me a little excited. Looking forward to it.

@ApostateMage There's a Valkyria Chronicles anime that was released when the game came out

Seems cool, but it's just a concept CG trailer for a project so.....

Re: Final Fantasy 16 Set to Return in October with a New Trailer
@Ryall Oh sorry, thought you were talking about FF7 part 2, not Crisis Core.
Re: Final Fantasy 16 Set to Return in October with a New Trailer
@Ryall Why? That game will come more than a half a year later than 16
Re: Go Behind the Screams with The Chant, Sending Shivers Down Spines on 3rd November
This game is looking more and more interesting.

This looks way too good for an online shooter. It will either be extremly short or have severe issues.
Re: Poll: What Was Your Favourite PS5, PS4 Game Shown at Sony's Latest State of Play?
Rise of the Ronin. GoW is nice, but it's more GoW, which is nice but not groundshattering.
Re: PS5's Rise of the Ronin Is an Open World Action RPG, Team Ninja Confirms
@Elodin It's set during the Bakumatsu, no more daimyos here, probably no more Shogun either.
Re: Like a Dragon Gaiden Is a Smaller Action Game Starring Kiryu in 2023
I'm really excited for this but I kinda wish they left Kiryu alone. They should've killed him at the end of 6.

I've heard that this one was better than Black Water but worse than the first 3. I really liked Black Water so I'm stocked.

"Hunting game", set in feudal Japan, from KT, so it's a new Toukiden..

So they're removing the hook that made AC unique.

Nice.
Beatrice didn't have that many lines in the first game, so it should be fine. A bit sad that the VA for Lucas isn't returning.
