I am torn between Fidelity Mode and Performance RT. I think that I am leaning toward Fidelity because I want the highest resolution. 30 fps is not a dealbreaker for me, although with the chaos on screen in this game that feeling might change. Tough choice. I wish we could have a full resolution Performance RT mode.

@get2sammyb See that explanation makes more sense. Maybe it's a failure of writing rather than intention? "Virtually flawless" as a game full-stop is much different than "virtually flawless" as a "Ratchet & Clank experience". It is not just me who is latching onto that combined with the score. It is a confusing statement within the review.

Keep stirring that pot of discontent. This has been in development forever and PS5 dev kits were not a thing when it began. So can we please get over the notion that these tentpole games should only be on PS5 or should only be built on that system?

Why on earth would Sony limit its sales of these huge first-party titles to a minuscule user base on PS5? That makes absolutely no sense. But people are too dumb to see that because "All games should only be PS5 exclusives now!"

I loved the music in the State of Play. It fit the action and tone of the gameplay so well. I can't wait to hear the whole score.

I don't think it was Sony Santa Monica's idea to slap the 2021 date on it. And even if they thought they could meet that deadline, I am thankful that they are taking time to make the best game possible and not crush their team in crunch.

Are people really moaning that a game is being delayed in the interest of quality? If you bought your PS5 with the intention of playing any game in the timeframe that was initially announced then you're pretty naive. It is the beginning of a new console generation. Delays are inevitable as developers adjust to working with new hardware. The price of being an early adopter is patience. If you want a huge catalog of new games then buy a system when it is 1-2 years into the cycle. Everyone complains about backlogs and PS5 has almost full PS4 backward compatibility. Enjoy those games with a mix of some new titles for the first year.

This is so encouraging to see. My friend with cerebral palsy is sometimes prevented from playing certain games due to limited mobility. He controls his games with one hand which has limited dexterity. So options like Toggle Buttons, Aim Assist, Swing Mode, Flight Assist, Simplified Transversal, Shortcut Buttons, and turning off Adaptive Triggers makes it possible for him to play games like this one. Bravo Insomniac!

I want the stage 3 dynamic theme. I just wish we could also use dynamic themes on PS5.

Awesome! I had started the game on PS4 Pro, but put it down for a bit. Once I got a PS5, I was waiting for a patch. Time to dive back into it.

Yes, I would absolutely get a custom controller. I didn't know that Microsoft had a Design Lab. It's a great idea and I think there would be a large market for it with Sony's controllers. I just want the colors back in the face buttons. It's such an iconic color scheme that I still cannot understand why they changed that one aspect.

@Quintumply Can you grind runs to build upgrades that make the boss and elite enemies more manageable through powerful weapons?

Edit: More specifically can you farm resources to become over leveled?

@nessisonett That's my plan too. I played the boring/sorry cop for this first playthrough. I want to play him as a blissed-out, crazy copy for the second playthrough. It's such an addictive game once you start.

I had started it a couple years ago but got pulled away by another game. I really want to play it in full before the sequel drops but I’m waiting for 4K/60 fps. Please announce that soon!

I’m deep down the rabbit hole of Disco Elysium. Played it for 12 hours straight. I wasn’t blown away by it in the first few hours, but the side cases really started to pull me into the world. The characters are interesting and the voice acting is almost universally great. The skills are useful and the level increases make visible changes to gameplay dialogue options. It’s not an upbeat game, but it’s a fascinating journey.

they're little things sure. but not having to jump through hoops for seeing hidden trophies and being able to choose which games to follow are nice quality of life changes. I stopped playing and deleted Fall Guys, but was still getting updates in my newsfeed.

Great voice cast too with Cissy Jones (Delilah from Firewatch) and Yuri Lowenthal (Spider-Man, Prince of Persia). It looks beautiful.

I think this is not really a question of would fans or owners of the current versions be willing to buy a remake. It’s going to function the same as the remaster did right at the beginning of the PS4 cycle. Here is a shiny version of a masterpiece to play on your new machine. It also makes huge business sense from the perspective of the HBO show. I would not be shocked by a remaster/remake of Uncharted 4 before the movie. In the end, it’s strictly business and it’s worth remembering that.

good on you to update it, but the headline is still pretty damning of the game. I guess that's what happens when you jump on something before taking the time to play it fully. you said the review was coming next week then slam it with a premature evaluation. I look forward to seeing how you trash the masterpiece in your review.

Liam, what on earth are you talking about? He literally shot zero humans. He shot a wooden balcony and some ceramic objects that I can’t quite make out. Zero bullets passed through zero persons. If you want to take umbrage with his use of a gun in general and that stupid Wild West rapid hammer move then I get it. But don’t straight out lie for a clickbait headline. I'm more interested in storing PS5 games on a cheaper external drive to shuttle back and forth to the internal SSD. I don't play more than a handful of games at a time so expanding the internal SSD doesn't bug me especially when it will be super expensive. But being able to store the other PS5 games externally would save on bandwidth and data caps.

Man, people are ridiculous. You are getting a "free" FF7 Remake with PS Plus on PS4. Why on earth would you get a free upgrade on a game that you didn't purchase outright? You want to play the new PS5 version that the team has worked extensively to create then pay for it! People are so entitled.

I’ve enjoyed all the Sherlock games despite their bugs. Here’s hoping this is more polished. Also not sure we needed an origin story, but like others have said detective games are few and far between.

So happy that I held off playing the PS4 version. I can’t believe the PS5 version is on Plus. Definitely the next game in my queue.

Platinumed it the first time. Went back and played the whole story a second time last year. Both were on PS4 Pro. Going to wait for the release date of Ragnarok then go through a third time with this new patch before the sequel comes out. Playing at 4K/60 fps sounds glorious and I am excited to play it again.

I had one crash in my 32 hours to get the platinum. I feel lucky and hope that this patch helps others. It is an amazing game that deserves to be played without lots of crashes. I still have rest mode turned off for my console in general. Just not worth risking game progress.

So thankful for this data. I was really hoping someone would compile it so I can tackle my backlog based on what works best on PS5.

Edit: Looks like it is a good time to play Telltale games if you haven't. Walking Dead, Tales From the Borderlands, and Batman all have improved framerate. The stuttering framerate always dampened the experience a little before.

@2cents You can actually skip the majority of the cutscenes by pausing and clicking "Skip Cinematic". There are a handful of scenes that are unskipple, but I blazed through it on new game plus.

Got the platinum over the weekend, but no email yet. I love this game so much. It was not a chore to do new game plus with such a great story and characters.

I've got the PS4 disc version coming on Thursday, but I won't be playing it until I have a PS5. I have a PS4 Pro, but I know that it will run better on PS5. It will also be patched to get rid of some of the bugs by the time that I get a PS5.

This headline is just pure clickbait. It should say between PS5 consoles. It’s a needless scare headline because most will assume it means between PS4 and PS5. Shameful PushSquare.
