It's tempting at that pricepoint, but I'm borrowing 1.5+2.5 from my roommate so I'll be playing those on that. 2.8 and 3 will probably come about after my backlog is done.

If my back was up against the wall and I had to change my name for my YouTube videos or something (like if I monetized and got in trouble for using an obvious Godzilla thing), then maybe I would change it on PSN. As it stands, I'm not going to.

While I'm not getting this Day 1, I am planning on playing through the collections on PS4 beforehand because story is quite important to me with stuff like this. Pray for me.

Why pay more to play the game early when most major publishers like Ubisoft don't finish the games until after they're released?

@get2sammyb I dislike politics in general. It divides people so much, and all too often I see folks go out of their way to berate someone for as long as they can just for having a difference of opinionand are unwilling to just agree to disagree. Media, in my experience, has been extremely heavy-handed in trying to force the creators' political views down peoples' throats, and it annoys the crap out of me.

If others like the game even with those kind of overtones then more power to them, but this doesn't look like something I would personally enjoy.

While I really did enjoy the first game, the first sentence of this review that states that the game is "profoundly political" has turned me off to getting this completely.

Too bad everyone's waiting for the Switch version that might not even be released here now. And I was really looking forward to Builders 2

Already have the PSP collection for these and not exactly keen on giving Konami money these days.

I'm not the biggest Spider-Man fan and I'm too busy with other games at the moment, so I'm not really interested. Maybe at some point down the line, but not any time soon.

It's only "an unfortunate reality" because that's how many major pubishers want it to be. They could just, you know, not do that. I understand that the main goal for a business is to make money, but when it gets to the point where "good enough" is no longer a viable concept, that's when it gets out of hand.

Also, this is coming from the company that wants people to tell their government to let them put gambling back in their game.

Got my super expensive collector's edition on the way! This is one of the only games this year I'm allowing to supercede my backlog. Can't wait!

I've seen a few reviews for this, and I don't think I'm going to bite. If anything, it has gotten me interested in trying Yakuza, though with my backlog the way it is, it would still be a ways off before I played either of these in any case.

While I never owned any of the games myself, I did play TimeSplitters 2 with friends a lot and it was brilliant. Unfortunately, having become an old misanthrope that can't get excited for anything anymore, I don't trust the modern game industry enough to make a proper, good follow up. It'll more than likely be the same online multiplayer based shooter with microtransactions that we have been getting up to this point. I'd eventually be on board for a remastered trilogy, but that's about it.

Sure was nice of Atlus to release these on my birthday. I must be their favorite customer.

Dragon Quest XI I think is the only PS4 game left that I'm picking up this year.

I thought the Western release for these are already confirmed? Good news either way.

Seriously, what is up with Sega and Sonic 3+Knuckles? I don't think I've seen a release of that game since the DS based Sonic Classic Collection, and since then I think they've taken the games off the PSN for PS3, and while Sonic 1 and 2 get rereleases out the wazoo (complations such as this, mobile versions, those awesome 3DS ports), 3+K doesn't even get released as the component games!

I'll be completely honest, I'll probably play the game with safe mode. I realize this takes out the main point of horror games, but I'm not one who particularly enjoys playing horror games personally (I prefer to just watch others play them). I tried playing this game normally on two separate occasions and was too freaked out to continue.

Final Fantasy XIV on PS4 and Skyrim on Switch. Also looking forward to a week-long vacation from work so I can (among other things) regroup my backlog strategy.

I will get this, no question.

I remember when I first was directly exposed to microtransactions with Mass Effect 3 and I tricked myself into thinking it was OK to drop more than 100 bucks total on in-game guns and such. Needless to say, I've learned my lesson, but even in the following years I was still hooked by season passes here and there. I don't really buy AAA games anymore (nothing these days seems to interest me anymore, i was even one of the odd ducks who couldn't get into Breath of the Wild and got rid of it without even finishing it) so I'm not really exposed to them outside of the odd mobile game I get. Even so, I'm not going to spend 60 bucks on a game and then spend even more money unless it's a major expansion or something. Free to play games are different, though. If I like the game and want to support it, I'll throw some money their way occasionally.

I don't really care either way. Less games I'll be buying to get in the way of me denting my backlog.

I'd probably be interested if this were a game like Gundam Battle Universe or Assualt Survive, but I'm not that big a fan of Gundam Vs.

More Final Fantasy XIV for me. I'm a bit into the Stormblood expansion and it's quite interesting

About to prepare for an all-night session of Final Fantasy XIV. I don't do that very often so as sad as it sounds, I'm actually really excited.

I'm still currently mostly all in with regards to Final Fantasy XIV, but if I have any downtime I'm going to start up Dragon Warrior/Quest III (GBC version). I remember playing through a good chunk of that when I was younger but never really beat it, and outside of FFXIV I'm on a huge Dragon Quest kick right now. Even got my slime controller for the PS4!

For whatever reason I wasn't able to get into in when it first came out and sold it. I'll be ready to play it again at some point, and this edition will more than likely be the one I get.

I'm getting back into Final Fantasy XIV since my friends are playing it again, but outside that I'm working on my platinum trophy for Dragon Ball Xenoverse and continuing my backlog endeavor with Mega Man Zero 2.

This game is incredibly good. It's one of the few modern games I include among my favorites.

Nope, I wasn't interested in this 10 years ago when it was called Final Fantasy Versus XIII, and I'm not interested in it now.

I haven't played this game for a long time, and since I had more or less lost interest in it I was thinking of getting rid of it. Not anymore.

I personally didn't give into the hype before the launch. I only became interested after watching others play so I knew what I was getting into. No disappointment on my end.

I just started playing this, actually. I like it so far, but so did a lot of other people before they dropped out of it. I'm saving my ultimate judgement for until I've played it a bit more.

On the one hand, I do really like Mass Effect. On the other hand, I don't want to give EA any more money.

I remember these games being particularly glitchy. Did they fix that, at least?

I personally wish they'd just make another Battle series or Assault Survive game. Those games, along with the Macross Ace Frontier series were super fun and among my favorite games on the PSP.

My friend and I Let's Played this game not too long ago. At first it was as a joke because this isn't normally the kind of game I like to play. Once Episode 2 was done I was hooked. The game is fantastic and to be honest, I'm not going to get the free first episode (we were playing my friend's copy), I fully intend to buy the physical disc at full cost to support the developers.

I have been thinking more about getting this, but it's mainly because I saw some folks on YouTube playing Job Simulator and I really want to play that. I'll probably wait until much later because it's totally not worth it just for one game (potentially two if Final Fantasy 14 works with it like they say it will ). I also wear glasses, so that may be an issue with this for me.
