Only been doing the campaign solo and had zero issues so far.

Put a few hours into it and so far its been fantastic. Pretty tough mind you and had to crank down the difficulty to normal from veteran. Can see the influences from World War Z with how they do the swarms and despite the sheer number of enemies on screen the 60fps seems to hold.

@Victor_Meldrew Not really as the game will get new modes, maps, enemies and weapons for free. There's no MTX either so the season pass is a pretty fair trade off for the amount of free content this game will get

@Nepp67 Well a lot of people might have also got the Gold/Ultra version because it contains a season pass.

Also the Outlaws thing was overblown. Anyone who got the game digitally wasn't impacted as the patch was included in the download. It was only disc players who got the game way too early that were impacted. Day 1 patches are never really day 1 anyway as they are added to the game before release date.

Just finished downloading it, got the Ultra edition so i shell be playing later on today.

Yeah i wasn't getting it at launch as i wasn't excited but reviews made me pre-order 😂

@Savage_Joe The AI is around Uncharted's level. The difference between me and Puppet is i'm playing the game thus i know way more about the game then them. If Uncharted had AI as smart as the Xeno in Isolation then guess what it would break the game. The stealth and combat in Outlaws are a means to an end, they're to break up the setpieces and open world exploration and not something you spend ages playing around with.

@GilgaMax309 Yeah its basically a PoP take on Metroidvania mixed with good combat. The story has a Sands of Time vibe as well.

@PuppetMaster Have you actually played Outlaws? You seem so obsessed over an aspect that actually isn't that bad. Honestly if the AI was "better" it would break the game as the stealth system is so basic and barebones smarter enemies would make it way too tough. Combat wise you die pretty quick and enemies have perfect accuracy so yeah no one playing wants them smarter.

The issue with comparing to Far Cry and MGS is they give you a ton of options to mess with enemies, the AI has to be better because you the player have so many options to deal with them. Outlaws AI is about on par with Uncharted the only difference is Uncharted has way better gunplay making firefights far better.

@GilgaMax309 Its a fantastic Metroidvania and it really captures the feel of PoP with a big focus on avoiding deadly traps and platforming. Obviously its different to the 3D entries but they did take a lot from them including time based powers. So yeah highly recommend. Its also very accessible as you have a ton of options to tailer and tweak the difficulty to your liking.

@TruestoryYep I've already finished it and for me Chapter 1 and 2 were the highlights of the game.

So far my top 5 this year are FF7 Rebirth, SMTV Vengeance, Prince of Persia, Tekken 8 and Stellar Blade. Black Myth might make the top 10 but giving what's yet to come i doubt it.

@Gamer83 There was no media campaign against it in the west. IGN reported sexism in the studio that was never denied or disproven (a Youtuber with clear bias never discredited IGN) but despite that they gave it a 8/10. Really Screenrant was the only outlier review wise who took major issues but who cares its Screenrant.

Going to be honest while i really like the game the quality does drop the longer it goes on, Chapter 3 especially was pretty bad. Don't get me wrong its a very good 8/10 game but its no where near GOTY that some are making it out to be.

@LifeGirl We don't know who they based Kay off as Ubi never revealed who her face model is. The voice actress who also mo-caps her isn't the face model. Anyway Kay looks completely fine, she's actually pretty cute in a girl next door kinda way.

I never said AI is great i said its dumb comparing it to a game that relies completely on advanced AI for its monster as the gameplay hook. Outlaws doesn't need good AI because its an open world game where the main focus is the open world, the AI does its job and that's all the game needs. You're comparing an apple to an orange and its rather dumb.

@47Levi You know what i love about pronouns? A certain crowd think its a new invention and don't realise by calling themselves male or female they are subbing to pronouns themselves. They think pronouns was a Non Binary invention and don't understand humans have used it since the words male and female were invented. @Crecca Tracer being queer is a pretty big focal point and Blizzard were proud of that yet she's the face of Overwatch and a iconic gaming character of last gen. Larian pretty much sold BG3 on the fact you could f**k everyone and everything with its entire cast constantly being horny for each other 95% of the time. Concord bombed because its another live service hero shooter that offers nothing new and costs $40, its cast could all be straight cis white male and females and its fate would be the same. You people need to stop with this culture war BS its so tired and warn out at this point.

@Crecca Activists? Dude the mascot of Overwatch is queer and the most acclaimed game of last year and this gen has a cast of horny pansexuals. Concord flopping has nothing to do with it having LGBTQ+ characters just like Black Myth is barely being played by western players despite how much people like you harp on about it.

@Chrisathickson Concord cost more to make that Astro Bot and let's face it Astro Bot will be a modest success at best especially in this very very crowded month. Also launching it the same day as W40K Space Marine 2 (3 day early access starts then) is certainly a choice.

Jim's legacy will be remembered for this. Factions got cancelled but Concord didn't just think about that.

@riceNpea My opinion on AI is its already being heavily abused by the entertainment industry and its also a worrying sign our world is relying on a computer to cut costs.

Its kinda funny really i rewatched T2 the other day for the 1000th time and its amazing how James Cameron predicted so much regarding the Skynet side of things. Yeah sure we aren't getting killer cyborgs that time travel but we are in a reality where the idea of AI having access to stuff like nukes isn't fiction. You could say i'm being stupid well watch T2 and take note of the origins of Skynet, Cameron predicted so much. Of course the current troubling sign is how people believe fake AI generated stuff, look at the fake AI crap Trump uses to get his cult rallied up or the crap Elon Musk will fake to spread fake news on his echochamper platform. AI is influencing the way people think and how they might decide their countries future and that's scary. Wanna know why Hale is really scared? Her voice can be used to say anything and everything someone else wants.

@Flaming_Kaiser I'm being realistic this game is already on life support, it won't have a playerbase by the end of the year. Unless Sony put it on Plus i can't see this still being around this time next year. No i don't expect refunds but if the plug is pulled within the next few months Sony should do that even if they won't.

Oh yeah those "legal disclaimers" and "T&C" they have in games are very sketchy at best and depending on the country don't hold up at all.

As Sony are finally adding PS2 games to PS4/5 its about time the Underground games were added.

@DonJorginho Back in 2016 the hero shooter train was already crashing unless you were Overwatch. This was just cocky Devs thinking they could just copy the current trend and never backing down from it.

So how long before servers are shut and refunds are giving out? They aren't getting new players and those it does have will jump soon so Sony might as well take the loss.

I don't feel sorry for the devs though as they jumped on the hero shooter live service train long before Sony got involved. They saw Overwatch and thought they could copy it while offering nothing new of its own. Jim Ryan was a fool for taking this Dev on.

@Odium Ubi games are like comfort games to me. They are rarely GOTY worthy but are always a good time and have a relaxing gameplay loop usually in a well designed open world.

@Northern_munkey Yeah giving the choice between SM2 and Outlaws i would say SM2 seems like the better deal.

Been playing since Tuesday and i've been really enjoying it. Its largely what i expected and i'm kinda glad it is.

I would say 70 is my limit bit i'm always buying the Deluxe/ultimate versions so i'm usually paying more anyway.
