@evan23 Nope just move the SSD over and the games will be there, no redownloading required. Make sure to do it after the set up though because if you do it fresh from the box it may reformat the SSD due to different firmwares.

Yep pre-ordered a day after it went live. Still yet to play around as i'm currently moving PS5 games over from External HDD over to the console now i have that extra space. Did check out AC Unity with improved PS4 visual quality setting and yeah its way better then the 900p it was originally at, also checked Horizon FW and yeah stunning as ever but now at 4K/60fps.

End of the day the Pro can only do so much with a CPU heavy game.

Cross save will finally make my Switch version of the game have some worth.

@LogicStrikesAgain Yeah John was blown by Horizon in the Pro review, he said its the best image he's seen on console and is like a high end PC image.

@TrickyDicky99 Funded, published and owned by Sony so might as well be 1st party. No one argues Bloodborne, Spidey 1 and the Ratchet games weren't Sony games so why should we with Returnal and Demons Souls?

@TrickyDicky99 Returnal and Demons Souls Remake and FW's Expansion as well. Games take longer to make now its what happens, its why Sucker Punch will most likely only have one game this Gen like Naughty Dog. Still more then MS and i suggest you look at the first few years of the PS4 because that wasn't rich with 1st party games either.

@TrickyDicky99 Sony have released and published a fair amount of games this gen though. This year alone has seen Stellar Blade, Helldivers 2, Astro Bot and Rise of Ronin and that's not even including 3rd party timed deals like Rebirth and Silent Hills 2 and Indies like V Rising and Pacific Drive.

That's pretty amazing.

@GigaGaia RT is realistic lighting, shadows and reflections and a negative people have with it sometimes is that its too realistic. To call RT unrealistic tells me you don't even know what RT is and when its used or not.

Giving the lackluster post release support i wouldn't hold my breath for a Pro patch.

The only review that matters is Digital Foundry not that i needed a review from anyone anyway. Mine was dispatched earlier this morning so not long now.

@RedRiot193 AW2 is fantastic easily one of the best this gen but will warn it has some of the cheapest nastiest jump scares out there.

@16BitHero I mean you kinda said it yourself tech is involving meaning better visuals, better AI, better RT, bigger more dense worlds, bigger crowds and so on and with that comes a big cost. Look at GTA 6 that's going to be the biggest game ever, visually it will be unmatched and it will be doing things no other game has done since RDR2 and because of that it will no doubt be 30fps even on Pro. As long as visuals keep improving 60fps can never be standard on console.

Easily the most exciting thing about the Pro and the future of PS consoles.

This and Alan Wake 2 are going to be what i check out first on Thursday. Getting so excited knowing its only 48 hours away.

@Slippship I mean as remakes go its closer to RE2 remake then say The Last of Us Part 1. It changes a lot and looks and plays like a modern game so i think its fair SH2 is included.

Between Astro Bot and Rebirth for me.

This would be a nice get for sure. Played a fair bit on Gamepass so i will happily buy when it hits PS5.

I'm pretty lenient on post launch fixes and stuff but i dunno this time it feels pretty scummy even if i do like the game.

@Nepp67 Typical MH game? Not at all, its just doubling down on the weakest aspects of World. A typical MH game barely even has a story yet alone a lead that now properly talks. This game so far just feels more like a dumb downed World designed for the casual player who have only played World and struggled with it.

Ants are my favourite creatures so i'm still getting this when i have the money free.

@Nepp67 The trailers have also shown of this stuff quite a lot as well, in fact a big reason i was so down on the first few trailers was because of this. The fact your character actually properly talks now also raises concerns over how story focused it is now as well.

@nessisonett The base version has seen massive improvements so they kinda are doing that.

I shell buy it its MH after all but the beta wasn't good. Visuals are awful, the map wasn't great, too much story and rubbish characters and a weird focus on setpieces. Can easily see this being one of the weakest entries.

I'm more excited for games like Alan Wake 2, Dragons Dogma 2 and Rebirth where the differences will be very noticeable. R&C already looked near perfect as it is no matter the mode.

@Ichiban Did you not play Astro Bot? Stellar Blade? Rise of Ronin? FF7 Rebirth? Helldivers 2? Silent Hills 2 Remake? Black Myth? That's just the console exclusives or straight up exclusives this year and not counting the bucket load of 3rd party games this year or the mountain of Indies.

Honestly this is a you issue not a PS5 issue. There's stacks of games for it.

@McTwist So you just trolling? Because the PS5 has stacks of games. This year alone has seen the PS5 get more exclusives or console exclusives then both Xbox and Switch.

The Pro is worth it if you want a better quality image and not a blur. You seen Rebirth on it? Its a night and day difference. Even Dragon's Dogma 2 will be running and looking better on it. Alan Wake 2 has also seen big improvements as well.

@Steel76 The Dev who made this are a port team, this remaster is the biggest thing they have ever done.

@themightyant Thing is MS from my understanding had to directly do it themselves for Series consoles. It wasn't the X/S magically doing it themselves it was MS having to put in the work their end hence why only some games got a framerate boost and not all.
