Itching for the Pro support and its why i redownloaded it.

For me the better performance and image quality is what made the Pro worth it for me. Take ARK it runs like dogsh*t on PS5 but on Pro it runs pretty well. No Man's Sky also looks and performs far better. Spider-Man 2 can finally be played at 4K/60fps. End of the day the Pro isn't a next gen console so those expecting massive changes were well stupid but for me its exactly what i wanted and expected and that is better performance and visuals plus a bigger hard drive.

@nessisonett There's been enough to justify owning a current gen console for over 2 years now. I don't know what magical impossible game you're expecting Sony or anyone else to put out to "justify" the PS5.

Not my first choice but she was great in the recent Joan she done and i did like her as Sansa.

The fatality is incredible.

It was also d*ck move releasing a subpar remaster, changing the artstyle and basing the remasters on awful mobile ports.

@Max_the_German Had the same smartphone since 2020 and it works perfectly. Their point stands most people are happy to spend the same amount the Pro costs or more on a smartphone they don't need every year or two but will moan at a games console costing 700.

@fabio1 It literally does all the RT Fidelity mode does on base PS5 but now at 4K/60fps. Those new RT features are just for those who want more even more RT features.

Performance Pro is the way to go and it looks and performs perfectly.

@Neither_scene Yeah so the Dev known for FPS games pitched a "FPS" Indy game because they clearly can't make a 3rd person Indy game thanks for confirming my point.

@KingPev Giving the last game they made was life service trash and the game prior to that was a very underwhelming sequel i don't have much hope for them.

@Fishmasterflex96 Have they been giving the job to make a game best suited to 1st person? They only really make God of War and GoW would make zero sense as a 1st person game.

This could be one of the key games for the Pro along with GTA 6.

Oh yeah tried out ARK on the Pro this weekend and damn what a difference in framerate. Its runs like trash on base PS5 but on the Pro its staying in the 50fps+ range.

This is great news. Its also great to see how well he is nowadays.

Also does anyone else always watch the two Home Alone films each Xmas? I certainly do along with Die Hard.

I kinda get it but thing is the ship sailed long ago on this type of thing. These are the types of rules you enforce at the start not nearly 20 years later.

@AaronBayne It really does. Its one of those games i just put on for the virtual tourism. If they can combine the quality and performance modes and remove the blur it will look 10/10 perfect.

Yeah the difference is pretty big. Hope Ubi enhance Avatar next when the DLC drops later this month as it could really do with it.

@Medic_alert The biggest difference i've noticed outside of FF7 Rebirth is No Man's Sky. Its now 4K/60fps and its a big upgrade for me over the base PS5 especially as it now hits 60fps way more then ever. Also Horizon FW looks incredible as well, easily the best looking console game now that its basically 4K/60fps.

I do think though its future games that will see the console come in to its own what with GTA 6, Death Stranding 2 and so on. Right now its great having extra RT option or 4K/60fps but its down the line where differences will start to be more noticeable.

@PorkChopExpress RDR2 gets no upgrades with this feature as the feature doesn't work on any game over 1080p.

This really sucks. He had such a great presence in both voice and in person.

Really hope Cyberpunk gets a Pro update that adds in some new RT options.

Best and quickest way is using a Lan cable, took me just over an hour and was very painless.

@Fishnpeas Funny because the majority of new games i've played this year are current gen/PC only.

Great stuff but i'm done with the game having done everything it offers but maybe good for a replay in a few years.

@Voltan If you have a lan cable the transfer is easier and far quicker.

@evan23 Nope just move the SSD over and the games will be there, no redownloading required. Make sure to do it after the set up though because if you do it fresh from the box it may reformat the SSD due to different firmwares.

Yep pre-ordered a day after it went live. Still yet to play around as i'm currently moving PS5 games over from External HDD over to the console now i have that extra space. Did check out AC Unity with improved PS4 visual quality setting and yeah its way better then the 900p it was originally at, also checked Horizon FW and yeah stunning as ever but now at 4K/60fps.

End of the day the Pro can only do so much with a CPU heavy game.

Cross save will finally make my Switch version of the game have some worth.

@LogicStrikesAgain Yeah John was blown by Horizon in the Pro review, he said its the best image he's seen on console and is like a high end PC image.
