It's supposed to be a remake of the original, but it seems to be too different already, just by the fact that there are other human characters in the mansion. The original didn't, only had Edward Carnby and Emily Hartwood. Plus, those 2 characters never interracted with each others, since you had to choose which character to play as and the other just wasn't in the playthrough.

@DanteDevilHunter I might actually buy it. It's $49.99 CAD, I expected it to be more expensive, even if it wasn't full price.

Can you play this game solo or is this strictly a coop game? If it's a coop game, I will have to pass, I am not interested in playing with other people.

I still believe there won't be a PS5 Pro, even with all those rumors. None of those so claimed insiders seem credible either. I bet this is another Switch Pro scenario, nothing is going to materialize.

Visually, it looks very dated. I thought they were showing gameplay from the first game on PS4 when I watched this at first.

@Czar_Khastik They legally can't, XSEED are the ones who translated those, so they're the ones with the rights. Same for Cold Steel 1 and 2, they won't be ported to modern platforms either.

6000 files = huge? I have 10 times that amount of files on my computer and I consider that not a lot. 6000 is incredibly small. Maybe if it was 600000000000 files, they'd have a lot, but 6000 is too low. Those guys call themselves hackers and they think 6000 is a lot?

The reason Sony isn't even bothering to pay or entertain this is likely because they know those guys have absolutely nothing.

Nope, they made the dodge crappy on purpose to force you to parry. I hate when the devs force you to play their ways, so no thanks. They even said they were going to fix the dodge in the full game, but they didn't make it much better, still bad.

I still wouldn't care if they came to Playstation. I always thought bethesda games were overhyped piece of trash and that Todd Howard is the biggest turd in the industry.

At least now people will get to experience all those glitches and bugs in 4K instead of 720p.

The only thing that need to die is that company and the employees all need to lose their jobs. Hopefully every developers switch engines from now on and bury that vile predatory company. There is so many alternative to Unity I don't see why anyone would keep using it.

I might have considered getting this (I said just considered) if it had the entire story, but I heard it's not even half of the manga, which means there is no reason to get it.

@Matroska The 360 sales were also heavily inflated by the RRoD since a lot of them had to be replaced and the warranty in the beginning was crap.

Yeah the PS3 had YLoD, but it had like 10% failure rate, which is acceptable for any electronics. The 360 had a 55% failure rate at some point. By the end of the generation, sales were close (but in favor of the PS3), but make no mistakes, there was a lot more ps3 in the hands of actual people. Wouldn't suprise me if the install base of the PS3 was twice the one of the 360.

IMO, it didn't matter if the Xbox One launch was a disaster. It's just an excuse. Playstation is such a bigger brand than Xbox, that even if Microsoft had done everything right, it wouldn't have mattered because Sony did as well. The PS4 would still have crapped all over the Xbox One. We'd still be here today with the PS5 crapping all over the Xbox Series as well.

By the way, it's going to be the same results next gen and the ones after that until Microsoft finally gives up and become third party.

Wouldn't want to be in a world where Microsoft succeed with Gamepass. It's cheap now and they act like good guys, but if they become successful, watch them raise the price to $100 or $200 a month. They can put a good guy mask all they want, but it doesn't change the fact that they will always be the worst scums of the earth and the most anti-consumer company between all 3.

If they don't give a release date, than I will definitely consider this vaporware.

Microsoft probably made an offer to Square-Enix and SEGA, but both of them probably laughed at them really hard like Nintendo did in the early 2000s. No big japanese developer would take Microsoft seriously.

If the game is 60fps on PS5, I will buy it. If it isn't, it's a skip. The previous ones were almost unplayable due to the terrible framerate and load times.

@WallyWest They can't do that in this case. Sylens is far too important for the story not to have him in the third game. He will definitely be recast.

@UltimateOtaku91 I hope the EC and FTC block the deal as well. If I were them, why would I want to do business with a company like that? Microsoft are the most anti-consumer company of all 3 and they can try to do pro-consumer moves all they want, but they will always be worthless scums in the end.

It's not going to pass in Europe and with the FTC either. They will literally use the same excuse as the CMA and block the deal.

This deal being blocked is the best thing that has ever happened. Even if Sony was buying them, I still wouldn't approve, but at least Sony would do something with the IP they bought. Everything Microsoft acquires just rot and die.

Also, I hope Sony buy Square-Enix now. Not big enough for the regulators to bother blocking and it would be a serious blow.

Sony probably didn't make a deal with Square-Enix about Forspoken or FF16 or FF7R beyond 6 months exclusivity. The reason those games are never coming to Xbox is likely because Square-Enix simply doesn't care about Xbox. I mean other smaller games are also not coming to Xbox and Sony sure as hell didn't pay for those.

With the regulators approving this deal, it means Sony can pretty much acquires any developers and publishers they want and the regulators won't be able to lift a finger because they will already have approved this. If they tried to block an acquisition from Sony, they'd just look like hypocrites.

We didn't see much of the Frozen Wilds before it came out, it didn't get delayed. It's a dlc, they don't have to show anything.

@DarkestHour GP is good for consumers, it's not for publishers and developers, unless they're indies that can cash in with the early check. Big developers and publishers probably lose money by going the GP route.

@andrewsqual Gamepass is also going to be a problem. Gamers on Xbox are cheap and now the majority of them just don't want to buy games anymore, they want to play it on gamepass.

Gamepass is good for indies developers who get a check upfront, but any AAA studio, it's bad since there is no way the check covers the loss of money in sales.

Because of this, I am pretty sure some AAA devs will decide to start skipping Xbox and go exclusively for PS/Switch.

Hell, Square-Enix is already doing it with FF7R and FF16. That's why they're not releasing on Xbox, not because Sony extended the exclusivity deal beyond 6 months. Xbox fanboys will say it's because Sony paid to have them permanently not appear on Xbox just because Microsoft said so with zero evidence. However it's clear that you can't reason why Xbox fanboys anymore, they're hopeless, they swallow every bull Phil Spencer says and pretty much everything that comes out of the guy's mouth is lies and *****.

OlliOlli World and Mafia Definitive Edition for me. I already played Destiny 2 and not going back to it. Evil Dead just seems garbage and I have no interest in it.

@Green-Bandit Even if there is no Pro (and there definitely won't be, there is no need for it this time), the PS6 won't release until at least 2027-2028, so you won't get a quicker gen cycle. In fact, this one will probably be longer.

NISA are too just incompetent. Hell, this and Azure have been fan translated, they're using that said fan translation to release the game here and it's still taking them this long to release them. This and Azure should have both been released months ago.

I know those are big games, but if you can't handle those games, leave them to someone who can. This is getting traction in the west now, there is no reason why small devs like you and XSEED still do those games. Time for a bigger publisher to take them.

I will only believe this game will come out when it's actually out. My guess is that it will get delayed again. I gave up on it coming out, likely vaporware at this point.

@cburg I am pretty sure even though 120 millions ps4 were sold, there isn't nearly that much that are still active. In fact, I'd bet there is less than 50 millions active ps4 players still and that's me giving a generous number, it's probably a lot less than that. Then you also have to remove those who have both a ps4 and ps5, which means they aren't affected by that.

Even if there was 120 millions ps4, games should have stopped being released on it the moment the ps5 came out. You have to leave old technology behind no matter how much are affected. If we didn't, we'd still be playing ps2 games.

Never had any interest in anything HP related, whether it's the books, movies or other games. The same goes for this game.

This will definitely be at bargain bin price physically and digitally soon enough, so not yet.

It's taking them way too long to translate a game that is already fan translated when official translation is literally going to use mostly that same translation.

I've played the english patch for Zero and Azure a long time ago and I am caught up with Hajimari as well (because an english patch on PC exist). There is no point for me to buy these games anymore, they should have released them a while ago already.
