Smart move. I wasn't buying Alan Wake 2 because it was too close to Spider-Man 2. I'm not sure if I can complete Spider-Man 2 within a week though. If I can, I'll get Alan Wake 2 day one. Still, would be better if they delay it til November.
I think that kind of lineup regarding day and date to a subscription is ideal. Smaller titles such as Sea of Stars and Moving Out 2. Just like Stray back then. They definitley don't cost as much as a triple A game to get for the subscription but still good quality to entertain the subscribers to main the subscriptions.
@thefourfoldroot1 Agree. I also admire the topic they chose. Bullying isn't used much in story telling in video games. That's brave and out of the box thinking. I respect that.
Playstation is unstoppable. And we haven't gotten to its second phase yet. I wonder if Spider-Man 2 is the Swan Song of the first phase or the Kick off for the second phase. Very exciting times ahead.
Playstation 5 will easily hit the 100 million mark. 120 million to 130 million in its lifetime. I feel like Playstation has never been bigger than now. And we haven't even had an update of Sonys first party studios yet.
The Greatstation 5. Unstoppable. Untouchable. Jimmy Jim is the main man of that success. The man who built the indestructible fortress in Europe now runs the entire Playstation. Long live big Jimmy.
I don't get the whole China Hero Project. Is it Sony initiative to put games on Playstation that would have come to PC only? If not, why is there a PC version? Is Sony funding two platforms? Why is no one on PC, like Valve or Epic, funding the PC version? It's kinda weird that Sony is funding for a platform that they don't own. Unless, they get a cut from the PC sales too. Of course, that'd be understandable from a business perspective.
I heard about this initiative years ago, but aside from F.I.S.T. (which bought, played and platinumed) I haven't seen anything come to fruition. First time I heard about Anno Mutationem.
@Porco Yeah maybe Sony done ***** something up. Would be a shame if Square Enix gets acquired by someone else. Especially, nowdays as Playstation Player you constantly in the position where your preferred platform loses even more games. First Bedestha games then Activision games then who else's games? Would be devastatingly ironic if it was Square Enix games themselves.
Of course, it is... Archduke of Rosaria. Brother of Joshua. Son to Elwin and Anabella. Nephew of Byron. First Shield of the Phoenix. Dominant of Ifrit. Wyvern of the *****. Cid the Second. Lover for Jill. Vessel for Mythos. Nemesis to Ultima.

To stay on topic, I hope it comes to Playstation. I want to play it.
Looks so good. I'm glad Sony finally sells the plates for the first party games separately. This is how it was initially supposed to be. I'll definitely get the Plates and the controllers.
@FatalBubbles Well, certain sales have themes. Like around October there's Halloween sales or something spooky. I think based on these kind of sales, Sony can refuse certain games to participate. But as far as I know that just exceptions. Usually, every publisher can provide a list of games they want to be price reduced and Sony will let them know when this sale go live to let them publishers can promote it on social media to let potential buyers know.
@FatalBubbles I'm obviously referring to the Playstation Store, as it's the topic that the OP was whining about.
You're referring to something totally different though. I remember that story. It was about that some devs couldn't reach Sony to put their games on certain sales. So their games wasn't on sale even though the devs/publishers planned to participate in those sales to boost sale numbers.
Sony can't dictate price points from other publishers games. Just as Valve can't do that, Microsoft or Nintendo neither. They are just running store fronts. The prices have always been given by the publishers.
@Nepp67 Nonsense. Sony doesn't make the prices from other publishers. The publishers of each respective game decide the price points when and if they put em on sale.
Naughty Dogs peak really was on the PS3. They were able to create 2 new amazing IP in one generation. Now they keep Last of Us stuff. Make Naughty Dog Great Again
I really hoped for it to be like Monster Hunter. A handful of friends playing together, coordinating and teamwork against machines. That'd be hugh. Especially, also in the Asian territories. Where Sony seem to struggle to sell their first party games. Hope it's more than just two players.
@Splat Remember the Internet is not a real place. Doesn't matter how many people on Internet trashed on Cod annually. Millions of people who are not participating on the internet with gaming related stuff bought it. Hence CoD has sold 15-25 million copies every single year.
FFXVI still going strong. Love to see it. And what about them legs of Kratos. God of War Ragnarok is super strong. Star Wars Jedi Survivor also is still up there is so nice. This year is amazing
The FF Pixel Remasters were topnotch. Even though I only played the first 3. I really enjoyed them. With FFXVI being an easy GotY contender and Live A Live was topping its original by a mile, it's safe to say Square Enix might be getting back in shape. Minus the Forspoken one. We just ignore that.

@middyone Yes, Multi Billion Dollar companies always know better. It's not like people told that Billion Dollar company that those expensive memory cards is a stupid idea and will be the reason why the Vita will flop. It's not like people told that billion dollar company that Cell Processor are really hard to develop for and they shouldn't put em inside a console. It's not like people told that billion dollar company that Cell Processor are NOT the future and you'll have problems to play those games on subsequent consoles. It's not like people told that billion dollar company that glueing that ID and the PS Name together into database would result into issues changing PS names in the long run. It's not like people told that billion dollar company that transparency when DDoS occurs is highest priority. Remember 2011? It's not like people told that billion dollar company launching a 700 dollar console is DoA. Bottom line: Billion dollar companies make mistakes all the time. And GG being mismanaged is one of em. Now hush you coparate slave.
@LordBakemono What points were given? A bIgGeR mAp? NeW aNiMaTiOnS? UnDeR wAtEr? Ridiculous to claim that those points caused an almost 500% increase on costs. Get the ***** off!!! GG is mismanaged.
@AdamNovice All I read was mismanaged. Every point you made, did not remotely explained how the costs went from 45 million to 220 million. Because of little bit more map, a few animations and nicer graphics it drove the costs up to almost 500%. Guerrila Games is mismanaged. Even The Last of Us Part 2 is questionable. Hows the saying: give an artist enough rope and he will hang himself. These people completely lost their minds.
How did Horizon Zero Dawn cost 45 million dollars and Forbidden West 220 million? Sounds completely mismanaged. They are barely differences between them.
60.000 * 29,99 = around 1.800.000 bucks. Minus the 30% going to Sony/Steam = 1.260.000 bucks remains. I wonder what the expectation was. I mean 1.2 million dollars should easily cover the costs of such artsy fartsy type of video games, I assume.
Well, then Microsoft made the better deal. I never understood why Sony would spend millions of dollars to get a game for one year instead of getting the entire IP for a few millions more to own future installments.
@Korgon I didn't mean Naughty Dog is the one being useless but just generally spoken about some Playstation studios being useless. And I loved The Last of Us Pt. 2. I think it's a masterpiece. All I'm saying is Naughty Dog isn't the same from the PS3 era when they blessed the Playstation Nation with 4 defining video games. The flapship has been exchanged.
Naughty Dog hasn't been the flagship Playstation studio since 2018 anyways. Insomniac Games is the one that defines Playstation now. These guys create worlds, characters, dialogs, gameplays, music and much more that Playstation players resonate with.

Shame on everyone that mutes the beep. That's iconic already. It's like turning off the PS1 boot up sound. Should be against the law.
