Re: Preview: Alan Wake 2 Will Be an Investigative Dream

yeah, i actually hope they delay it, just so it has more chance of survival on the market. it's a survival horror game, sure, but going up against freaking Spider Man and Assassin's Creed is near suicidal. i hope they'll rethink their release strategy asap. i wish them all the success they deserve.

Re: Feast Your Eyes on the 2D Dark Souls 3 Metroidvania That Never Was

While beautiful to look at, the idea seems a bit redundant and kinda pointless. at least for a gamer like me, who actually played and finished DSIII. I think the developers of this type of games better stay in the "inspired by" area and do their own thing with the characters and story, like Blasphemous and Death's Gambit devs did.

Re: God of War Ragnarok to Feature a Transmog Armour System Due to Popular Demand

@Tomato_Goose see i can't, those stats are in direct relationship with the gameplay and difficulty, it's not just cosmetics. So i have to engage with all this stuff in order to progress in a comfortable manner. My point is i could still progress in a comfortable manner WITHOUT the need to invest my time into constantly placing things into sockets and comparing the benefits of one thing to another etc etc. It's lame in my opinion, especially in such a story centered experiencem where the clear most valuable aspect is the story and the visual experience of it all. A simple upgrade tower (or map or whatever you wanna call it) of skills from the original games would suffice beautifully, i think.

Re: Random: Video Game News Posting Machine Nibel Quits Twitter

i think i saw his posts a couple'a'times
citing Elon as part of the reason is kinda laughable, but even if it's so, godspeed. twitter is a hellhole when you use it a certain way, but i don't engage with that stuff and remain mostly unscathed for many years now. it's a good source of quick news where you can discover and stay up to date with every niche interest you can think of

Re: Death Stranding Would Not Exist without Band Low Roar

NeonTiger

The soundtrack of Death Stranding is absolutely stellar and 90% of it thanks to Low Roar. I actually started listening to this band after the first trailer ("I'll keep coming") and it's such a shame the leader of the band passed on so early into his life. Not fair at all.

Thankful to Kojima for getting everyones attention to this awesome band.

Re: Elden Ring Gets a Glorious CG Trailer

Incredible visuals in this cinematic trailer. It gives me "prologue" vibes. These are traditional to all From games, and it seems this is the one we'll see at the start of Elden Ring. Super intrigued by the story and characters presented. Tolkien influence is unmistakable. Then again, Martin himself is a Tolkien successor, practically.

Re: This Is What the GTA Trilogy Looks Like on PS5, PS4

NeonTiger

Terrible.

I guess I dig the lighting, in some scenes it is inferior to the originals though. My main complaint here would be that overall it looks like Fortnite or Sims to me. Character models especially have this plastic look and shine to them, like these are action figures. Very bizzare stylistic choice. If there was any artistic direction here at all... Characters look separate from their surroundings at times.

Everyone praising this ugly mess should go back and compare the remasters to the originals. Some of the details and interesting visual solutions R* were able to achieve in 00's are gone in this. It looks plain now, and plastic. What a failure.

Re: Video: PlayStation Productions and the New Era of Video Game Adaptations

Uncharted looks super bland and uninspired visually.

The falling scene is horrendously obvious green screen nonsense (poorly executed too) where you can see Holland just lying on a green matrass istead of falling through the air. All in all it looks like it has nothing to offer in the context of similar movies that came before and did it so much better than what we see here.

I am curious abou HBO The Last of Us though, since it is being made by very very talented crew of people, such as Craig Mazin, Kantemir Balagov and Drukmann himself. And under the HBO banner, no less.
