It's basically what Microsoft spent on Minecraft, and left Minecraft to be a mostly independent third party game. So I have similar expectations for Bungie.

The market is starting to consolidate with Microsoft and Tencent at the helm.
Sony can't afford big players, but if they wanted to they could easily get Capcom or Square. The question is would they? Or will they wait for Microsoft and Tencent to swallow up more studios first?

A side note, THQ Nordic has been eating small studios for a while now as well.

Gamepass can only work on PlayStation if they make a version that only includes first party games only.

If it includes third party titles PS Now loses all value. If Microsoft works with Sony and provides a modified GamePass like that, I am sure they can approve it to show up on the console. Because at that point it's no different than EA as a third party publisher.

Time to Buy more stock

The loss of call of duty will definitely hurt, especially with casual gamers switching to the X.

Hopefully this means a return to Sony first party Shooters. I would love a new entry for Resistance, Killzone and Socom!

I am not even a fan and I know that's messed up! It's literally the biggest FPS series on the market. Can't believe it's exclusive to Microsoft now...

On a side note: they own Blizzard entertainment as well now. This is massive in the PC verse. Like... insanely crazy. I'm in shock...

I wish they were doing a Resistance game. I would want that, and a new Kill Zone game for this generation. I feel people don't give Killzone the respect it deserved as a FPS Franchise, great mechanics and the online to me was second to none in its heyday (2&3).

@Emperor_Rusty it's mostly due to the superconductors shortage, which is out of every console manufacturers and graphic cards manufacturers hands...

That and scalpers make it impossible to get ahold of it...

I am scared, soon there won't be any independent studios. And we will have to buy individual consoles for each major studio. I already hate this for streaming platforms, can't imagine gaming... ☠️

I hate that the industry is getting more narrow. I miss when there were more independent studios. I suppose it was inevitable with the cost of development skyrocketing...

PS Vita is hands down my favourite console all time from Sony. I hope one day, handhelds become viable for Sony again, and we can see a PS Vita 2. A guy can hope....

Killzone 2 online was my favorite online experience of the PS3 era. It was dark and gritty and I loved every second of it.

I'd be interested in a series remaster with online.

When I finish building my gaming PC, I'll get this game. I don't expect it to be good but it will help kill time. I think I should give oblivion and Skyrim a break haha

I doubt I'll upgrade. But I've spent over 10000 hrs on it. I am not proud of it...

Idk why the creation tool is behind a paywall. It isn't like Bethesda made these, they are made by other players. It always pissed me off...

The Vita is a legend among niche fans like us. The broader audience that only play sports and shooters won't really appreciate it as much unfortunately. And neither will Sony

@eltomo I am in the opposite mindset. It's story gets a lot of hate because people wanted a different story told than the one given.
The game play and job system however was fantastic and don't get the love they deserve.

Controversial opinion: FFX-2 Was actually a very good game. People don't like it, because it wasn't the sequel they were expecting from Final Fantasy X. I'll die on that hill.

Considering how successful Apple storefront is, if he even helps a little, Sony should see pretty good returns. I'm not a fan of the smartphone games market, but good luck to Sony!

It took me a long time to get used to the turn based mechanism in Like A Dragon, and by the time it did. It just became so easy.the last arc of the game was mostly just grinding but most fights were easy outside of the last dungeon...

I hope they work to fix that in the sequel.

To summarize, they are having remasters made and fully outsourced by external teams. One being a large Japanese developer. I wonder who that is? Japan studio has closed down.

@eltomo Sony has really close ties to SE and Sega, so they don't necessarily need to buy their own studio. Microsoft needed to.

I just bought it on sale the other day. I cannot beat the butterfly for the life of me. I'm not really good at this style of games but I'm trying.

A non mainstream hero would make a great game. Give fans a chance to experience them without expectations.

Cyclops or Black Panther are my picks from the list but any small time hero is fine.

I keep all of my PlayStation consoles, so this is nice. Although I technically only need a PS5 to play PS5 and PS4 games. And my backwards compatible PS3 to play PS1-3 games.

The only thing I hated in the game is how they punish Ryuji for being rude to Morgana but not vice versa. Yeah I get it, it's a trope. I'm just not a fan of it.
