If the comedy is similar to Rick and Morty that's a pass. It was new and funny way to show comedy in the first two seasons, but starting on season three the show became a caricature of itself. Also Dan Harmon has a tendency of being meta for the sake of it, breaking the fourth wall nonstop just to wink at the audience. It gets quite repetitive after a while.

I've criticized some character design in a previous article for being bland (Especially Raiden), but Tanya's design is the best in the whole series. In every other game she was a bit meh with not much to show besides the colour yellow, they turned how unique she looks up to 11!
Baraka also looks really cool with a more slender design making him look younger.
Li Mei is more subdued but still a good design, just a by underwhelming.

I have mixed feelings about rebooting the story again so soon, but I always have hopes for an interesting single player campaign when it comes to MK. Fingers crossed it'll be a good one!

When will developers learn that buffing is much more interesting than nerfing?
If you need people will inevitably feel like something was taking away from them, if instead they rebalance the enemies and buff the weakest classes you make more people happy while still keeping the difficulty.
Unless something is completely broken I'm generally against nerfing. Let people have fun with overpowered builds!

@get2sammyb To be doubly fair it's not the first time journalists reported that some series was going to be much improved to only come out with slight changes. Pardon my skepticism, but the media tends to overhype which leads to inevitable disappointment.
I know it took you a lot of effort for you to write this article and I have no doubt you believe the game is going to be much better. But it is not absurd of a consumer like me to think it's going to be the exact same buggy broken mess given EA's track record.

My comment wasn't a slight on you, but on EA always talking about their numerous innovations and most of the time coming up short.

@Uncharted2007 I wholeheartedly agree with free-speech and that twitter loved to censor certain groups more than others in a very biased and unfair manner.
What I don't agree is putting Elon on a pedestal as a paragon of free speech is a fallacy.
He censored the Turkish people before the election he helped the Indian government quiet some people and there are more examples that I can't remember right now.
I'm all for free speech, Elon Musk definitely isn't.

The game looks much better without motion blur. If the frame rate dips are fixed this game is 100% perfect.

Aggressively buying huge studios in billion dollars deals and taking huge financial hits just to get ahead in the market are things that Sony doesn't even have the monetary capability of doing.

We all know that Microsoft is trying to bully the competition out of the market. Fortunately it's not working, people still prefer quality over quantity.

Good looking game, interesting plot, good dialogue. The gameplay is really solid and combat is satisfying.

The only downsides I would say are the performance being a bit iffy and feeling a bit too linear, to the point of forcefully railroading.

After playing the demo I feel that worst case scenario it's a really solid game with flaws and best case GotY.

@Kidfried Thanks for the clarification. I went back to the video and while most of the comments were criticizing the game not looking or playing like a Prince of Persia, there were a few that unfortunately were directed at the character's race.

@Fghtbk85 Sure, generalize and put everyone in one group. If it makes you feel better and superior disliking hundreds of thousands of people because their opinions differ to yours, go for it.

It absolutely has nothing to do with virtue signaling, does it?

@Impossibilium I'm not triggered, just not a big fan of blanket statements. A lot of people like to include a huge subset of people into one group because they like or dislike something. It's overly simplistic and it doesn't help creating a helpful and constructive discussion.

I didn't like the visual art-style and the rap music matched the vibe as little as the rock one did in Warrior Within which was the worst in the trilogy.

@Shigurui Decided to ignore the rap part, I guess? Historical accuracy is not required, but Prince of Persia always had a certain aesthetic and this is clearly Ubisoft pandering to a certain audience. It really has a "how do you do, fellow kids?" vibe to it.

Also everything that you cited is fiction not modern, there's a distinction there.

Why not Persona 6? P3 is fine as it is, a sequel would be much more interesting.

@Olmaz By watching it again, I have to agree with you. The environments look amazing, but the characters themselves look like normal everyday people.

It's Apple. No matter how overpriced and underperforming their product is they have their blind cult followers who will buy regardless.

@SgtTruth As someone who had Premium I can confirm, absolutely not worth it.

The demo didn't convince me, but the fact that you can switch characters at any time is really really good. If you prefer one playstile or another you won't get stuck with the character you like the least.

Bobby Kotick is a sorry excuse for a human being and it shows that there's a lot wrong with our society when a person like that is in a position of power.

Zelda Totk released at the perfect time to keep me busy until FFXVI comes out.
I will eventually play SFVI because it seems to be really good.

No Diablo 4 for me, they're going to shove microtransactions after the review period is done and also I can't support a company that does what Actiblizzard does.

I agree with them. I absolutely despise FFXII gambit system where the most effective way of playing the game is be not controlling anyone by using gambits. I buy a game to play it.
Also the waiting periods in the ATB FF's always felt like a waste of time for me.

Either give me a tutn-based game where I can strategize and plan all of my party actions or give me an action game where I control the character.

Can't wait to play it full of bugs and glitches on the PS6 in 2030!

Joking aside, I hope they actually release a finished product this time.

Made the mistake of watching it live and being bored for almost its entirety. Won't make the same mistake again.

I think there's a winner if you look at the numbers:

28% had a positive reaction
28% were neutral
44% were negative

In my opinion I voted for poor because it had a lot short and cinematic trailers showing very little gameplay. It reminded me of E3 which was always overhyped and not much of substance was generally shown.

Marvel Spider-Man 2 a winner? The graphics look without any improvement and the gameplay segment was incredibly linear and on-rails.

I still think it's going to be a great game due to Insomniac's track record, but I don't think it was impressive at all.

Very limited in function and knowing Sony it's probably going to be way overpriced.

Generic and more likely than not a flop.
