@TheArt @DreamlandGem then I guess I must play games wrong,
Because it’s all about stats. Get the right slots for the right gear. So yeah I see my armour while equipping what I need. But when I’m in a hunt I don’t really pay attention to my outfit. It doesn’t affect movement in any way so need to.
After I’ve gone yeah that’s right for my load out, and several hundred hours later you just don’t notice it anymore.
@Frmknst most of the time you aren’t really focusing on your character. It’s on screen, it’s doing stuff, but you aren’t wholly focusing on what outfit it has on.
@WhiteRabbit obviously you see the armour but in the hundreds of hours I put into the games I can’t say I’m really looking at it. I’m watching the monster movement etc.
And I say this as someone Whoo uses female characters in pretty much any game that gives a choice as the models are usually better than male counterpart
@NEStalgia Eurogamer had a tweet in their article that
88% playing on steam were from China, 3% from US. (But I couldn’t tell you if it was middle of night US or anything).
Peak hit 2million, so even without China that’s still a solid 250k players for a debut game. Not bad at all imo.
Not that I think it matters where people play. We don’t start saying that 80% of CoD players are from US or anything. (Seems people want to try spin negative on it because it not western)
@breakneck it literally explains in the title there are concerns, and in the first paragraph says it was pc version, and lower down they will do a proper ps5 review ?!
@naruball warranted criticism is fine. It’s healthy.
We don’t have to like every decision Sony/ms/nintendo make.
The Criticism of Concord is fully justified, especially when there is similar f2p established games that this is trying to compete with - on a more limited market - not every game is going to be a hit.
It’s much more important for Sony/gamers that Astro bot and Lego horizon are well received and supported.
People keep saying should have released it blah blah.
But what if it was actually just not good? It could potentially have been another concord.
People don’t realise it HAD to be almost perfect, due to the size of the IP, future games, future TV series etc. can’t afford for a below average live service game to destroy the IP.
Of course it could have been good, we just simply don’t know as we never saw it.
Why go to the cinema? Listen to kids on their phones, people eating full meals, chewing crunching, people going to the toilet. Talking etc etc. (manners are much lower these days) not to mention how much tickets have gone up here.
When I can sit at home, watch it when it’s most convenient to us, pause if needed and so on and I’m already paying for the subscription.
That’s not to say I don’t enjoy the cinema, it’s just more of a hassle these days
It’s not even PS news if it wasn’t available on PlayStation but hey ho. (Misread the article)
There’s way too many indies released weekly for every one to do well (especially as people can play lots of them on sub services)
As consumers we have limited time and resources it’s why many games that get 6:7 out of 10 don’t always do well. (Even if fun) people want good experiences for their £50+.
Its why early sales don’t always do well, people are becoming wiser to waiting for a discount and patches so the game is as it should be on release
@NEStalgia I guess many people see time spent developing Vr/games is taking away the time that could be spent elsewhere.
VR2 is a great bit of kit, I think had it released at 350-400 and Sony taken the hit it would have been given more leeway. But upto £1000 to get into ps vr is not cheap.
And at the same time .. VR just isn’t taking off as most would have predicted a few years ago( when vr2 would be in development), probably a little like we are seeing some push back against AI/meta verde and all that kind of stuff. The general consumer just don’t know what they are ready for.
But do you go back and ask for the credit now your freezer or tv is cheaper 18montjs later? (Or 4years if you mean ps5)
So why would Sony do that? Early adopters chose to spend their money. Just as people who buy day 1 games. They don’t get a refund when it’s 50% off 3months later.

Defeated gender huh.
People need to get out more. It’s pixels on a screen. 95% of the time you don’t even notice your armour anyway.
Re: Black Myth: Wukong Prompts PS5 Sales Explosion in China
It’s funny how because it’s a Chinese made game people suddenly care where the most sales are and who is/isn’t playing it.
Nobody ever brings up where the most CoD/mario/BG3/any other game players are from.
Re: Dune: Awakening Gets Gameplay Epic, 25 Minutes of Fremen Action
Epic you say.
Looked rather average and generic the other day.
Re: Xbox's Sea of Thieves Has Apparently Shipped Over 1 Million Copies on PS5
Shows that if a good game is released people are willing to pay to play it.
Re: Xbox on Bringing Exclusives to PS5: The Industry Is Changing for All of Us
@UltimateOtaku91 nope he is correct. He has however chosen well selected words.
Player numbers are up because GP works on both last gen and current gen. Player numbers means nothing. It doesn’t transfer to sales (as we can see)
It’s just a statistic that has high numbers and looks good.

Very poor.
Wilds saved it.
Too much generic live setvice

@DennisReynolds wondering f it was to do with nvidea? Only wanted it shown with their latest cards?

@BeerIsAwesome yes, usually around 14days notice.
Re: Black Myth: Wukong Is Blowing Up Big Time on PS5, PC
@dark_knightmare2 that’s fine but with a site telling me what’s happening on steam means nothing for ps5 version.
Re: Black Myth: Wukong Is Blowing Up Big Time on PS5, PC
But how actually is the game on ps5?
Doesn’t matter if 5million are trying to play it if it’s utter garbage.

So it’s going to be about 8/10 I’d guess.
Sounds a solid first attempt.

It looks very good, but does the actual gameplay hold up just as well?
Re: Reaction: PS5 Needs a Price Cut
@sanderson72 upto January of this year ps5 sales were less than 1million behind ps4. Both around 54-55million.
PS4 did not sell 20million more in 8months.
Re: Reaction: PS5 Needs a Price Cut
@sanderson72 your numbers are miles out. It’s nothing like that sort of gap. It’s around 1million.
Re: Reaction: PS5 Needs a Price Cut
Another pointless and over the top reaction as usual.
Everything needs a price cut. That goes without saying (not just gaming)
Trending 2% behind a very successful ps4 ( competition is 10% behind its predecessor) so still on target to pass 100m.
It needs games. It needs Sony studio games.
Re: Naughty Dog Allegedly Found Bungie's Feedback on Binned The Last of Us 2 Multiplayer Extremely Helpful
None of us know what the game was like. Just because it has TLOU on the box doesn’t mean it was a good live service experience.

Re: Reaction: Sony's Billion Dollar Bungie Buyout Is Looking More and More Like a Blunder
@get2sammyb apologies late reply.
No it wasn’t a panic buy. Bungie was doing well. They excelled in an area Sony wanted to expand in. They had a good track record.
Sony at the time (and bungie) didn’t know how things would change going forward. Hence certain clauses in the deal around ownership.
So yeah 100% not a panic buy.
Re: Reaction: Sony's Billion Dollar Bungie Buyout Is Looking More and More Like a Blunder
I have a feeling this is an over the top reaction.
Destiny has done fine.
There was a valid reason at the time for buying bungeie. They haven’t gone bad over night.
The market has just changed.
Re: Bungie to Layoff 220 Employees, Will Be Further Integrated into Sony
Shame for those losing their jobs. Nobody deserves it.
Fully expecting Sony to raise PSplus prices soon.

@NEStalgia put MH on VR and I swear I’ll buy that persons on the other thread for the 300!

Re: PSVR2 Sales Explode After Sony's Deep Price Cut, Up More than 2000%
@EfYI oh dear god. If anything you didn’t want a price cut. Keep it rare.
But if you don’t understand economics I can’t do anything about it.
Re: PSVR2 Sales Explode After Sony's Deep Price Cut, Up More than 2000%
@EfYI lol it’s no longer a 500 item.
Re: PSVR2 Sales Explode After Sony's Deep Price Cut, Up More than 2000%
@EfYI if you think you are getting 300 back on an item that costs 350 new.
Then I’ve got a tin of striped paint I can sell you.
