Re: Joy as Capcom Ditches Gendered Armour in Monster Hunter Wilds, a Series First

@TheArt @DreamlandGem then I guess I must play games wrong,

Because it’s all about stats. Get the right slots for the right gear. So yeah I see my armour while equipping what I need. But when I’m in a hunt I don’t really pay attention to my outfit. It doesn’t affect movement in any way so need to.

After I’ve gone yeah that’s right for my load out, and several hundred hours later you just don’t notice it anymore.

Re: Black Myth: Wukong Is Blowing Up Big Time on PS5, PC

@NEStalgia Eurogamer had a tweet in their article that

88% playing on steam were from China, 3% from US. (But I couldn’t tell you if it was middle of night US or anything).

Peak hit 2million, so even without China that’s still a solid 250k players for a debut game. Not bad at all imo.

Not that I think it matters where people play. We don’t start saying that 80% of CoD players are from US or anything. (Seems people want to try spin negative on it because it not western)

Re: Concord Pre-Load Available Now on PS5, Post-Launch Roadmap Revealed

@naruball warranted criticism is fine. It’s healthy.

We don’t have to like every decision Sony/ms/nintendo make.

The Criticism of Concord is fully justified, especially when there is similar f2p established games that this is trying to compete with - on a more limited market - not every game is going to be a hit.

It’s much more important for Sony/gamers that Astro bot and Lego horizon are well received and supported.

People keep saying should have released it blah blah.

But what if it was actually just not good? It could potentially have been another concord.

People don’t realise it HAD to be almost perfect, due to the size of the IP, future games, future TV series etc. can’t afford for a below average live service game to destroy the IP.

Of course it could have been good, we just simply don’t know as we never saw it.

@PuppetMaster

Why go to the cinema? Listen to kids on their phones, people eating full meals, chewing crunching, people going to the toilet. Talking etc etc. (manners are much lower these days) not to mention how much tickets have gone up here.

When I can sit at home, watch it when it’s most convenient to us, pause if needed and so on and I’m already paying for the subscription.

That’s not to say I don’t enjoy the cinema, it’s just more of a hassle these days

Re: Reaction: PS5 Needs a Price Cut

PsBoxSwitchOwner

Another pointless and over the top reaction as usual.

Everything needs a price cut. That goes without saying (not just gaming)

Trending 2% behind a very successful ps4 ( competition is 10% behind its predecessor) so still on target to pass 100m.

It needs games. It needs Sony studio games.

Re: It Doesn't Sound Like Braid: Anniversary Edition Quite Set the World on Fire

PsBoxSwitchOwner

It’s not even PS news if it wasn’t available on PlayStation but hey ho. (Misread the article)

There’s way too many indies released weekly for every one to do well (especially as people can play lots of them on sub services)

As consumers we have limited time and resources it’s why many games that get 6:7 out of 10 don’t always do well. (Even if fun) people want good experiences for their £50+.

Its why early sales don’t always do well, people are becoming wiser to waiting for a discount and patches so the game is as it should be on release

Re: PSVR2 Sales Explode After Sony's Deep Price Cut, Up More than 2,000%

PsBoxSwitchOwner

@NEStalgia I guess many people see time spent developing Vr/games is taking away the time that could be spent elsewhere.

VR2 is a great bit of kit, I think had it released at 350-400 and Sony taken the hit it would have been given more leeway. But upto £1000 to get into ps vr is not cheap.

And at the same time ..
VR just isn’t taking off as most would have predicted a few years ago( when vr2 would be in development), probably a little like we are seeing some push back against AI/meta verde and all that kind of stuff. The general consumer just don’t know what they are ready for.
