Well deserved. But as many have already pointed out it’s likely thanks to all the bundling. Every PS5 drop here is a HFW bundle. Smart move, given that PS5 console shortage is still present people will pay extra for the bundle regardless if they’re interested in HFW or not.

Bring it on! Loved Immortals, I wasn’t even sure about it but decided to at least give it a chance. Glad I did!

@thefourfoldroot1 I agree. Don’t know why but personally I never find the urge to replay games. Mass Effect is the only game in recent history I’ve played more than once.

8/10 from me. Not a big fan of indie games in general but admittedly they are starting to grow on me. It’s a nice change of pace especially after smashing some huge open-world title.

That’s nice, although it’s not a surprise is it? Pretty sure they announced well in advance that the enhanced edition for next-gen consoles were on the way.

Good it’s on sale, if I don’t have time to finish it on Game Pass I can pick it up on PS5 or PC for cheap.

@Quintumply No worries. Yeah, it does look fantastic even in SDR. Maybe, if we’re lucky, they patch in native HDR support later.

@Quintumply How exactly do you enable HDR? I see no HDR support at all. Do you have your console set to HDR Always On perhaps?

Unless I’m missing something obvious this is SDR only.

Great review, sounds like a decent game. If I like it I might double dip and add it to my Steam library as well. Good indie studios can use some extra cash.

I gave up on the platinum before even trying. Credits rolled after 18ish hours and then I looked up online “platinum 70-100 h, lots of RNG”.

@Mikey856 No, and no. The learning curve is not very steep, just learn how to dodge (dash/jump). Don’t gamble too much on malignant items and play safe is all. The longer you manage to stay alive the easier it gets. Soon you’re running around with lots of cash and Ether, 200% health and OP artifacts/parasites.

@Titntin I completed the game last night, had an absolute blast playing it. Better than expected. But what exactly do you find difficult about the third boss? I nailed it on my first try and trust me, I’m the very definition of an average gamer…

Do you die if you fall off the platforms? During the last phase the boss was barely able to hit me at all. I just grappled to one platform, got a couple hits in, and then latches on to the next one and so on. Had that “wave” alt-fire on me which proved to be completely useless, it couldn’t reach the boss!

I was going to say Returnal but I actually finished it last night. I wasn’t prepared for the last boss but my run was hours long so I was pretty OP at that point. Ironically, the first boss and the music one was the hardest for me.

Did Housemarque cave to all the complaints and made the game easier? It sure wasn’t as hard as I imagined. Great fun nonetheless!

Now I’m moving on to some backlog games, namely First Light and Batman: Arkham Knight.

They’re great games but no personally I’m not very happy. Already played the games that interest me except for Stray obviously. And Stray is like $20 on PC, so it’s likely very short.

As for premium, well I think that speaks for itself. Garbage.

@Bleachedsmiles I switched to console for this very reason, 60 fps started to become the standard. I’m a PC gamer at heart, still have a high-end PC hooked up to my TV but ironically it’s mostly used for older games.

New games goes to PS5/XSX where I just have one easy choice to make. Older games on PC where I can just crank up all sliders and set native 4K resolution and be done with it.

I got sick of tweaking every little setting. I like the plug and play approach of consoles. But much like you said, sadly I think consoles are moving away from that. Just look at Ghostwire Tokyo or perhaps DMC5.

Easy call. I don’t play games limited to 30 fps. I’ll try out the native 4K mode when it launches on PC. By then I should have a 4090 installed.

@Shinnok789 That day will never come. When PlayStation can output native 4K in 60/120 fps you’ll be presented by a new option like 8K or similar I’m sure.

@nessisonett Spot on. That is legit one of the main reasons I like Ubisoft’s games to this day. I love a good challenge but oftentimes I get back home I’m beat and not in the mood for games where I have to be creative and having to pounder over every decision.

Definitely a cash grab. But I wasn't planning to buy it regardless of pricing. It’s just sad ND is wasting their incredible talent and resources on yet another remaster/remake.

Looks like it’s going to be a short game. Shouldn’t take more than a session or two to finish. It’s an indie game after all. But I’m sure it’s going to be a fun ride regardless.

That’s nice! I’m currently playing it but on PC. Next-gen consoles have spoiled me, don’t ever wanna downgrade to 30 fps again.

I’ll decide whether to pick it up or not after seeing some real world gameplay and/or reviews.

It will probably do just fine releasing so close to GoW. Not even remotely close to being the same type of game. And as someone pointed out I think it’s only going to appeal to a niche group, but who knows.

I don’t know. Not holding my breath. Sword and Fairy 7 wasn’t that good. Gameplay was great, however, there’s usually very little of it in these games. Majority of the time is spent watching cutscenes.

Nice! I’ll probably pick it up day one if the reviews checks out but I’m sure as hell not pre-ordering. Did that with HFW and then performance mode turned out to be a bust for months.

Hm, interested to pick up Dawn of Ragnarök. But I’m equally interested in the Season Pass. Sold my copy of the base game but now when it’s on premium I might return for some of DLC.

Anyone played both and can recommend one or the other?

It’ll be nice to have if/when they release a DLC. Not going back to a game I finished months ago just for an update.

@PhantomMenace84 I wholeheartedly disagree. Ergonomically speaking the DualSense is awful for me. It doesn’t matter if I have everything disabled, my hands literally start cramping after prolonged use. It sucks, because I like everything else, the features are really next-gen.

I hope Sony will enable DualShock 4 use for PS5 games.

@Flurpsel Yeah, I see. It’ll have to stay in the backlog for now, maybe I’ll take another look at it again in a few years.

@Col_McCafferty I wasn’t trying to trash-talk the game. All I’m saying is that I was surprised I didn’t love it. It seemed like a perfect fit, I love massive open-world games with “endless” possibilities.

Got a high-end PC and can push everything to the max on a 4K OLED TV with 60+ fps. It is an absolutely amazing experience but still couldn’t get into it. I gave it a good 10 hours or so. Can’t wrap my head around as to why I don’t like it.

Mass Effect: Andromeda. Slapped on a handful of Quality of Life-mods and now I’m actually having a surprisingly good time with it.

Definitely looking forward to it. Fingers crossed it turn out well.

@Golem25 I’m in the same boat. Oh the struggles of a seasoned gamer, already played everything offered that I deem interesting.

I’m sure the service will grow and I will, much like with game pass, try out new games I was on the fence on buying at some point but didn’t.

@Col_McCafferty My thoughts exactly. Looking forward to trying out Returnal and later on Stray. Other than that it’s not much that’s grabbing my attention for the moment. Been gaming for far too long, so I’ve already ticked off all the games that I deemed interesting.

Not into retro gaming so frankly I’m unsure why I even bothered upgrading to premium. Probably FOMO.

Looks absolutely amazing. No joke. I don’t think it is awfully overpriced either.

However, no graphical improvements in the world can make me replay the same game a third time. Hell, not many games warrant a second playthrough for me.

Hell, even if it doesn’t hit consoles day one I’ll hook up my PC to the TV just to play it. If it turns out to be any good, that is.

@Shigurui Ah, Genshin Impact. Tempting to get back in but it is so damn addictive. I can spend endless hours grinding for that one artifact.

PS5: Replaying all story missions in Devil May Cry 5 as Vergil this time. The combat is as satisfying as ever.

XSX: Assassin’s Creed: Origins. Gotta give Ubisoft credit here, the game runs and looks incredible. Hard to think it’s almost 5 years old now. I played it on PC back then, I remember the optimization was complete garbage with constant crashes.

Sniper Elite 4: The fifth game left me wanting more. The core principles of these games are simple but still so much fun!

Does it excel on every detail? Of course not, but it sure is hella fun. Solid 8/10 from me.

PS5: Devil May Cry 5. Wow, I don’t even like fighting games but damn, having a blast with this one. Dope music while cranking out amazing combo moves!

XSX: Sniper Elite 5. Frankly, I had pretty low expectations. Those have been well exceeded. Graphics are mediocre but the overall feeling and versatility of the gameplay makes up for it.

The invasion system is also well thought out. I was unsure whether I should leave it enabled or not. But turns out you don’t lose any real progress even if you get killed by the invader.

I was bitchin’ about the European launch delay earlier but now I’m on starting to be a-okay with it. Hopefully Sony will have ironed out the kinks by then.

Sports and multiplayer games, please!

I’m actually very excited for this! I throughly enjoyed the base game despite its shortcomings. I do regret not waiting for the next-gen upgrade though.

Extremely satisfied is pushing it. I’m neither satisfied nor dissatisfied. Truthfully, I could do without PS+ altogether. After all I rarely play online and more or less all PS+ games that has been offered these past couple of years I haven’t even touched. Either not interested or I’ve already finished them.

But I’m not complaining, I’ll keep my subscription up regardless. It’s cheap and I get a lovely + icon next to my username. Oh, and cloud saves are pretty neat!

Surely just a technical error, it’ll be resolved once the service reaches the important markets. Can’t be this bad, Sony will probably start offering both PAL and NTSC as well as higher resolutions.

@Grimwood What’s even more hilarious is that those “cheaters” are completely unaffected by this. They’ll still be upgraded without paying extras.

Really looking forward to this one! Hope its rumored inclusion of microtransactions won’t ruin the experience.

@PenguinLtd I’m in the same boat, mate! Elden Ring really triggered me to actually give the Souls genre a genuine attempt, now I’m hooked. Already completed quite a few Souls-like games.

Before Elden Ring I always brushed off Souls-like games. “Too hard and frustrating for me”.

God darn. Still no Dark Souls games on sale. It’s been months since DS3 was on sale!
