Re: E3 2018: Assassin's Creed Odyssey Will Indeed Launch This Year, Other Details Leaked

SPGFan34

@jdv95 I completely agree with you. I haven't even bought an AC for years. Unity really left a bad sting in my mouth. It's just too crowded this Winter now for Splinter Cell, especially after Blacklist, the last one, was commercially disappointing. Mind you, it would appeal lots to single player gamers. There's not much else coming out for single player either. We'll have to wait and see.

Re: E3 2018: Huge Amount of Assassin's Creed Odyssey Screenshots Leak Ahead of Ubisoft Presser

SPGFan34

@BearsEatBeets It will be interesting to see how the release dates fit in, but I think we're getting AC Odyssey in Winter 2018, Splinter Cell in February 2019 and The Division 2 in March 2019. Christmas is too early for Splinter Cell, as it's not even been officially confirmed yet. The first Division did very well in it's release date, so I think Ubisoft will use the same marketing strategy. AC is a safe bet for Ubisoft at Christmas as it's their flagship series. It makes a lot of sense for them.

Personally, I'd really like to see Watch Dogs 3 get announced on Monday. I'm a huge fan of the series and I'm very excited for The Crew 2, it looks so fun, even though I hated the first.

Re: E3 2018: ANTHEM Launches on PS4 in February 2019

SPGFan34

Disappointing.... and it was going so well before. It just looked like a free-to-play game to me with some production values. It was my favourite game of E3 2017 as well. Oh well, onwards and upwards with a different title instead.

Re: Talking Point: Did the EA Play 2018 Press Conference Hit the Right Notes?

SPGFan34

Yeah that was pretty crap. I was really disappointed by Anthem. I was very intrigued by it last year but it looked rubbish here. Presentation was terrible. Unravel 2 was okay, but I think it would work better as a single player narrative game like the first one. Sea Of Solitude looked rough around the edges and I couldn't care less about Battlefield V as a non-shooter fan. Even worse than last year, but at least we got a few reveals, unlike the event in past years.

Re: Guide: When Is EA's E3 2018 Press Conference?

SPGFan34

Leaked script: "Coming in 2019: Microtransactions, loot boxes and you guessed it, even more microtransactions. You all hate them but we don't care. Have a great time at E3. Goodnight. Oh, we almost forgot, here's Battlefield V..."

Re: Guide: When Is Sony PlayStation's E3 2018 Press Conference?

SPGFan34

What do I want to see at E3?

Meredith Molinari. And her legs. Enough said. She is gorgeous. Ohhh how my 19 year old self dreams and fantasises in the annual E3 period about having an actual chance with her one day 😟

From a games perspective, Watch Dogs are my favourites. So, I'd naturally like to see Watch Dogs 3 get revealed. A DOOM sequel too, as I loved the first one, but it might not happen yet as they're doing RAGE 2 with Avalanche. The rumoured Splinter Cell game would be awesome too. I've never played Splinter Cell. I've always wanted to but stuff has got in the way each time. Ohhh, and it's ridiculously unlikely, but a Simpsons Hit and Run Remaster (Or even a sequel?) Would easily be a dream confirmation for me too.

Re: Guide: When Is Bethesda's E3 2018 Press Conference?

SPGFan34

@jdv95 Yeah man, I loved the first two. I hope EW2 sold enough copies to warrant a third instalment being made although it will be hard to approach it from a story standpoint due to the conclusive ending of the second game.

I'd love for DOOM 2 to be announced. The first was brilliant but I'm not too sure yet because they are co-developing RAGE 2 with Avalanche Studios right now.

Re: Feature: E3 2017 Game of the Show - Spider-Man

SPGFan34

@ShogunRok I agree.

My top 5 from E3 this year:

1. Spider-Man
2. ANTHEM
3. Need For Speed Payback
4. Star Wars Battlefront II
5. Knack 2

Honourable mentions go to The Evil Within 2, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, Shadow Of War, South Park TFBW, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, Agents Of Mayhem and the Dishonored story expansion.

Re: E3 2017: The Crew 2 Looks Like an Automotive Playground on PS4

SPGFan34

@BAMozzy Hi there, yeah i completely agree with your comment. I still think Crew 2 has potential, but i'm still not sure if there will be any soul to it and if it will feel very mechanical. NFS Payback has a story and context around the gameplay with it's F&F vibes. The one before was really good imo so i'm fairly excited for the new one!

Re: E3 2017: The Crew 2 Looks Like an Automotive Playground on PS4

SPGFan34

@BAMozzy Sorry for the slow reply. I've been working on exams and assessments at sixth form. Anyways, I completely agree with you. The first Crew was pretty mediocre, the story and dialogue were horrific and it didn't do anything at all memorable for me. The idea of multiple vehicles kind of gives me Steep vibes, which is a great game by the way. I wonder if you can switch them off the fly. I really enjoyed the 2015 version of Need For Speed because it's live-action cutscenes were actually pretty decent and the underground, urban vibe was a great landscape. Payback looks a bit different, but I definitely agree with you that it has more oompth and ambition. Mind you, you never know about Crew 2, it might end up being a really good sequel like AC2 or TF2. I'd still advise you to give it an open mind until previews start coming out.

Re: Quantum Break Maker Adds PS4 Support to Game Engine

SPGFan34

@get2sammyb I wouldn't hold my breath though and it will probably be a new IP. The developers are keen on making it but there not sure if it would be financially viable and many years have passed since the last game, not to mention nobody really knows who holds the rights to the franchise. Mind you, with so much Kickstarters and Crowdfunding going around today, you never know. They could end up making AW2 one day, or maybe a spiritual successor to the game.

Re: Quantum Break Maker Adds PS4 Support to Game Engine

SPGFan34

@JoeBlogs I remember playing it a few years ago and i really enjoyed it. It's an atmospheric, story-driven third person action game and it has a very offbeat, interesting psychological thriller storyline and the core gameplay experience is a little bit similar to Until Dawn. It's got a cult following and many people have said it deserves to get a sequel for years. The new Prey that's coming out reminds me of that game. Well worth a look. It's probably only a few quid now if you're interested and you own a 360. I enjoyed it, my sister got obsessed with it, and i'm sure you would if my description appeals to you.

Re: Review: Mass Effect: Andromeda (PS4)

SPGFan34

A little disappointed then. I was thinking of getting it, but i think i'm going to get Prey instead, at least for now. I'm not suprised though due to the lacklustre build to launch over the last few years, such as the lack of footage, poor marketing and lack of promotion. Perhaps EA and Bioware didn't feel they had enough confidence in their product? It's a shame!
