I’ve only played a couple hours so no idea if it’ll live up to the hype, even as a big Souls fan, but loving what I’ve played so far. It’s got the same DNA as the other games but definitely feels new at the same time.

Not watching. Can’t wait. Got a feeling this is going to be the definitive FromSoft/Soulslike game and I couldn’t be more excited.

Very cool. Makes me think a PlayStation theme park would actually be really awesome, haha.

The censorship thing is a weird one. On one hand, I believe that any platform holder is well within their rights to choose what content is and isn’t available on their platform, as long as there are set rules that are fairly enforced to all. After all, this isn’t a DVD player, it’s a storefront, social network and home entertainment device all rolled into one.

However, having a cut down version of the game is more problematic. Personally I’d say either the full game makes it or not at all, but then I guess that’s down to the developer/publisher rather than Sony.

It might not be pushing anything especially new but visually it looks lovely with some great enemy design and the gameplay looks fun. I’m definitely planning to pick it up and I’m not normally one for first person games. The Darkness and Bioshock are notable exceptions so that so I guess it’s that resemblance that’s sold me along with the Japanese setting.

I would truly love to get into GT but worried it’s not my kinda game. So from a total newbie, I’d love it if more experienced players could answer some questions for me:

1. Is there a way to play the game in a bit more of an arcadey way? I mean more in terms of handling I guess. Or are the mechanics very unforgiving no matter what?
2. Are the tracks always very racetrack like, or are there locations where you just drive through some lovely scenery too? I really enjoyed Driveclubs track selection, to give an example, but Project Cars was a bit boring by comparison.

Wow, lotta salt in these comments. Some people need to chill. I managed to get into the beta last time and this was brilliant fun, way more than I was expecting. Interested to see what they do with the extra time, but really I don’t understand how people can be so offended and outraged by a game they’ve never played and don’t ever have to play. There’s plenty of games out there I don’t like but I don’t think calling a team of peoples hard work “trash” is ever appropriate. Eh, rant over. Best of luck to the devs and will probably check the game out again when it’s ready.

Much like Bethesda, I don't play any Actiblizz games so it doesn't affect me in the slightest, but still - wow. Heck of a power move from MS.

If I buy any of these it'll be Windjammers. I'd love to get Uncharted eventually for another run through, but I'm in no rush.

More importantly, February is Elden Ring month and I. Can. Not. Wait. Horizon 2 will be brilliant too I'm sure but I still haven't played the original so need to get on that first really.

With the TV series on the way it makes sense. I've played them both plenty of times now but have to admit I'll happily re-buy them all again if the jump in quality is good enough! Not too fussed about Factions though - I'm sure it's good but multiplayer shooter things just generally aren't my thing.

Nice surprise to wake up to this morning! Pretty sure this will (finally) be my jumping point on VR and I can't wait. Like others have said though I do hope there is some backwards compatibility, or that a few choice developers port their games over. Would love to play Battlezone, Rez Infinite, Tetris Effect etc on the new hardware.

I really like them and I'm glad to see Sony offering some simple, clean and well chosen colours. The red, light blue and pink all look great to me. BUT - the only problem is that I'm not going to buy a whole bunch of these, so now I'm totally going to be sitting on the fence to see what other designs are released in the future.

Personally, I'm hoping for some PS1-themed plates and controllers like they did with that special edition PS4. Either that or a 'smoked' transparent plastic in various colours could be pretty cool.

Good time to be a Spidey fan right now with the Insomniac games, Tom Holland's excellent run and of course the Spider-verse films.

That…is way, way better. Damn.

I adored Hyper Light Drifter so I'm absolutely picking this up today. Can't wait.

Snapping this up ASAP, played it plenty on Switch but will happily go through it again. It's just lovely and utterly charming.

Ah man, was very close to buying it but now I’ll probably hang back and see if this happens or not. Fingers crossed.

Nothing for me, again. Think this is the second month in a row I won't claim anything which is a shame.

I can totally understand why someone would give the game this score, but for me it's more of a 7 bordering on 8 (at times). Controls are an issue but it's still got a great concept and atmosphere. I've picked it up to support the franchise and show that I still want to see more games in the series. The original trilogy is still the highlight of the series by far, but this is still good fun and I'm glad to have it on PlayStation as I really didn't like the Wii U as a console.

Just here to say Hot Wheels is bloody fantastic. Loving it so far.

Nothing for me this month, but I’m going to be busy enough playing Jett and Project Zero so not too worried.

@Grimwood I think you'd notice the difference more of you went back and played the original again. This is a big improvement. It's still the original engine at its core so it's never going to look "next gen" but I'd say this is looking great and easily on a par with other remasters we've seen recently.

Not convinced by GT7 yet, going to hang on and check out the hands-on videos before I make a decision.

£5 is a no brainer for me. Hadn't even installed the PS4 version but glad I kept hold of it now as I'll definitely be giving this a go.

I've still got a copy of this kicking around that I never got around to playing on PS4 so I'll be upgrading for sure. Looking forward to trying it out!

Seems a lot more promising than the Avengers game ever did already, so feeling nicely optimistic!

I'd love a Silver Surfer game - flying from planet to planet with Galactus as the big bad, with the whole cosmic Marvel rogue's gallery along the way. The board would be amazing fun to use for traversal and the powers would leave a lot of room for inventive progression and battle. Plus the Surfer himself could be an unbelievable ad for raytracing tech.

Sounds like a good game and about in line with what I was expecting. If I didn't have such a huge backlog I'd be picking it up sooner but as it stands this is probably one that will go on the wishlist to get further down the line. Hope it does well though!

Didn't really enjoy Dishonored so not particularly interested in Deathloop, personally. But then I'm not much of a shooter fan anyways tbh.

I'm not really the biggest Star Wars fan (love the original trilogy but the rest...not so much), but have to admit this has me intrigued. Really enjoyed Detroit so I'll be interested in whatever they do next, really.

Exciting stuff. Personally I'm expecting a slightly more linear game than Spider-Man, perhaps a bit more GoW-ish.

The last game was easily the best entry in the series and the single-shot approach was a crucial part of setting the tone and the pacing, so very happy to hear this. Not at all surprised, though.

Along with Fable 2 and the Mass Effect trilogy this was a defining experience for me on Xbox 360. Very excited to see it coming back!

I'll go digital once it's down to half price or less. In no rush and got plenty of other games to play.

Ha, had a feeling we'd hear something soon. Exciting! Don't really mind what's shown to be honest, just looking forward to some surprises.

I reckon we'll have a proper State of Play sooner rather than later, but I'd be very surprised if we saw much (if anything) of God of War before next year.

Not amazing overall but I was pleasantly surprised by ONL this year, definitely better than usual! If it improves from here on every year then it could become something really cool. Fingers crossed.

@PowderToastMan Was going to say something similar. The idea that a game is trash/garbage etc is almost always ridiculous hyperbole. I don't understand how people can live their lives being so perpetually disappointed and unhappy. Like, maybe find another hobby if you see so little value in it?

I was stood in line at a CEX a while back and the guy in front was ranting on to the staff about how Days Gone was a "garbage game" and he was astounded it was worth more than £1. Now Days Gone is 100%, unequivocally not my kind of game, but to dismiss it as worthless is insane. People need to get a grip.

I loved this on Switch and was really jealous of the 4K version on Xbox, so I’m gonna double dip. Charming little game.

@ZeroOverOne Nope, I'm right there with you. Honestly wouldn't surprise me if this was the biggest announcement of Gamescom.

@MakersMark Did I say all legacy titles? What's to stop a more modest, but carefully curated selection from across PlayStation's history? Lineups could change every sop often, or whatever. Like GamePass.

The art style and animation don't look anywhere near Dotemu's standards, so I wouldn't be too worried if I was them.

The trailer for this had me really hyped - if the story's good then I'm on board. Life is Strange with quirky dinosaur people? Sure, sign me up.

I'd definitely give this a go. Probably once, mind - as I'd no doubt be terrible at it.
