Worked just fine !! Made the request from the Romanian PS Site. Should be delivered mid of Nov. Anybody knows if the delivery is free or have to pay for it ??
The drop of support for VR on the new camera and this new information suggests that a new PSVR is coming to take full advantage of the system and will have tracking backed in. Sony don't want the developers to be limited by the hardware which they know is heavily constrained by the old tech. It's desepointing but I hope the old games will take advantage of the better hardware of the PS5 for better visuals. Can't wait to get the adaptor and PS5 to try it out. PSVR AIM controller especially is a awesome experience.
It's like the Ethernet adaptor for Macbooks. Really strange when manufacturers still bust their heads with proprietary connectors, would have been so much better to have a extra USB on the PS4.
@frabbit what is so hard to believe. In Romania I have gigabit speed also and it's only 12$ a month roughly, unlimited data also . But the problem is that the PS4 has capped speeds so you will never download at those speeds, even if you are wired.
Edit: Ok he fixed it ) 1Tb that was the shock in question.
I know that on the PS4 they could update the firmware to the hdmi chip that's how they managed to add HDR even to the base PS4. I'm surprised on the base PSVR they didn't go for the same thing. Hopefully they mitigated this with version2 and it will have no issues with HDMI 2.1. Most users don't have 120hz TVs yet so I thing it's not a big issue. The HDMI revision on the PSVR can run just fine 1080p 120hz, that's the max of the display on the PSVR so I think everything should be fine.
@CupidStunt they need to release a patch to uncap the game from 30fps in resolution mode. Would be nice, but probably woupd brake the experience on PS4 pro.
I understand the reason for developers of bringing old games from older platforms like PS1 - PS2 era, if was possible trough BC most of the young generation would not appreciate this games like we did when we were younger, hence the reason for remasters. I don't agree with games that are relatively new and just ported ... That's a get rich scheme ... Specially Spider-Man on PS5
@deathaxe that's true ... You have China Sea > Malaca Strait > Indian Ocean > Red Sea > Suez Canal > Mediteranian Sea > Gibraltar Strait > Atlantic Ocean > UK. And that's not only one vessel. Shipments from China get passed between 3 to 4 vessels until they will reach Europe, additionally the vessels have fixed lines so you have to take in account other ports along the way. From China to US if no port along the way it's around 20 days to cross the Pacific.
Going back to inFamous - second son for a second playthrough with bad karma and platinum it. Such a good game, and really looks good after all this time, better than most games coming out in a while.
@Mpquikster why ?? Even Disc based games are fully installed on the drive, they just check the signature of the game with the disk and that's instant. Yes if you want to jump from game to game it's not seamless anymore.
This game feels like if God of War and Infinity Blade made a baby, but not in the good way. Like most people here, I feel that this game is very generic, and I don't think I will buy this game especially because it needs a internet connection which I don't have when I'm at sea.
@JJ2 it's true DF has been really one sided this coming generation. But beeing honest Sony did a much better job designing the PS5 even if it's bigger, the cooling solution is much better designed then what Microsoft has. XSX it's compact and interesting but we will see how that turns out. I'm still sceptical of the cooling capabilities for such a dense system and no direct intake for fresh air. The system is allready running warm on BC games ... And Microsft's reply is that it's not warmer the Xbox one X ... In my book that's not a good answer. Can't say that the Xbox one X had the best cooling solution in the world either.
I don't know if somebody was paying attention but the small heatsink on top is connected to a heatpipe that cools directly the VRM. Sony is really serious about those clocks for the GPU if they went the extra mile for that. A better solution than smushing everything together under a vapour chamber like microsoft. And for people who don't know actually the heatpipes have also liquid inside them and do the same thing like a vapor chambor so that's why he said that it will work the same.
@SeverinMadara I understand this, you can see everywhere that the price of living has gone up. I have nothing against developers expanding to PC or even Xbox. Finally everything will be multiplatform. But all this remasters are such a bad ideea especially for gamers who allready bought the game. Make at least a paid upgrade path, and newcomers can play the full price of the game. If you are honest and fair with your costumers they will continue to support your platform.
If Sony implemented something like quick resume from Microsoft I think this is the issue with the cross platform save files. I think PS5 will just make suspended sessions for games instead of save files or checkpoints and you can jump in exactly where u last left the games, same like emulators on PC.
@Medic_Alert well Cerny did confirm in his presentation that PS5 will have 3 modes of operation. Native PS5 and Legacy PS4 and PS4 Pro. Most probably the boost mode will just force games to work in the PS5 mode with no any clocks reduced, that boost mode on PS4 Pro didn't brake no any old games from what I have played. Some games played better, ex AC unity because it wasn't anywhere near it's 30cap limit on base PS4. So the same thing will apply here. Games struggling to reach 30fps will run at 30, games struggling to reach 60fps will run at 60 or close .
@Medic_Alert the PS5 will drop clocks if you run games in legacy PS4/PRO mode and boost mode off. If you have boost mode on will try to force the clocks on to the games same like PS4 pro did with the old PS4 games. But without patches to uncapp the games we will just see smooth 30fps games. But it depends on engines also if they are built to run with higher speeds in mind and probably a patch to unlock capps will not be enough.
@MarcG420 so who is messed up ?? I told you from SSD to decompression unit on the GPU is max 5.5gbs bottleneck is 8gbs and after to the GPU. If data is compressed can be up to 22gb.
@MarcG420 that's the upper limit for the decompression unit. The APU doesn't have that many PCIe lanes to accommodate that transfer. Check ryzen CPUs that the PS5 is based on you have only 20. 16 allocated to the GPU and 4 to the SSD
@Mieya if you check the new teardown video for the ps5 you will see that there are 3 chips for the memory. Most probably 275gb each. If it had 1tb they would have said that is 1 tb but it's not.
EDIT: it's allready published that XSX will have around 802GB of usable storage available.
@MarcG420 @710King actually in your discussion you forgot about one thing. The bus size for the I/O. Most probably it will work like any other nvme ssd on a pc with gen4 x4 (equals to max 8.0 gigabytes / sec of raw data) that 22GB/s you will see after the decompression unit will have a go at the data. The I/O bus can't handle that kind of data directly.
@BAMozzy I don't know if somebody replied to you on this or not, but usb speeds are in bits not bytes. Anything that you plug externally even through the fastest port will not help. 1GBIT IS 125MB
@TheAdza I think maybe Sony is moving away from the BSD OS or maybe going back to redhat or just something proprietary this time. All PS4 games I think will run on a emulator and maybe that's why saves can't transfer (except cloud base one apparently)
If this is Sony's marketing strategy to spoon feed information to people ... I'm getting really disappointed. Since the July announcement I personally got less and less excited. I will just wait untill next year to get the PS5 from a store shelf and wait to see some reviews.
Is this from the top ?? I still can't get a grasp on the actual position of this "thing" from this photo only. If it is from the top, I still think it's a radiator plug for an AIO water cooler.
On PS4 at the begining I remember was in the setting menu so you can choose which button is for confirmation, now actually I'm not sure. But I have on board the vessel a Japan PS4 and I can say that the option is there and you can choose and it's running 7.51
Big Navi speeds leaked around 2,3ghz ... I think Sony is more on par with rdna2 cores than Microsoft judging by the speeds for their GPUs. Maybe that's why all the silence from Sony's side. Maybe we will still be surprised by Sony on the performance side.
@CosmicGypsy369 I hope most people would buy the normal edition of SM - MM cause they already played through the first game on PS4, as did I. I don't have no incentive to buy the ultimate edition, even normal edition, I will just wait for the price to go down. 50€ is to steep for a smaller game that most probably they where thinking to release as a DLC for Spider-Man.
Looks fun but I will never pay 70€ for this, sorry guys. Should be part of PS+ first day on PS5 in my opinion. I'm sorry for the devs for Sony's business practices.
@theMEGAniggle that's another story. They put the extra effort cause the game was ported from PS3, but now they have no excuse for this. They are just taking gamers for granted this time around. What's the reason behind all that branding "PS5 enhanced" if you will start making "remasters" of all your games that will work through BC on the PS5.
I just watched this on a phone, can't use a TV at the moment but I can say updates are minimum. Better textures, better resolution sure ... But you could put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig. Can't change 1 character's face and call it a remaster. This games should have a 5$ AT BEST upgrade path for all PS4 owners. Sony is really greedy on this one. I hope they will learn their lesson after this one and don't do this again with other games like GoT LoU2 and Uncharted.
And also it's still very early in the development cycle. When PS5 devkits released they where built on unfinished HW. It's still a different arhitecture for CPU/GPU (I'm not talking about instruction set x86) devs need time to get acostumed with the new HW. We will see great things but later in the life cycle. Nothing coming out at launch will be optimez for the full potential of the consoles, not even from 1st party devs. Look at Sony - PS4 launch (killzone & infamous) - end of life cycle (horizon & ghost of tsushima)
Most people are not technical and really don't care about all of these. Moms and Dads will not go on YouTube to check DF to see which console plays the games at the higher resolution. At the end of the day it's all about the games. Sony has the best games, frankly getting more expensive this time around, hopefully the quality will just get better. But on the other side Microsoft has GamePass. Most gamers will stay with their platform just to continue to play their backlog. I will not switch to Xbox just because multiplats have a better dynamic resolution, it's just silly. If you're looking for performance just switch to PC. It's all about the experience on a platform. I hope Sony bet wisely with the dual sense and more developers will take advantage of it, more than they did with DS4.
Games like Fortnite, COD, Rocket League are F2P ... and this is 70$. I was so excited for PS5 when they revealed it in June, and since then it’s all going down hill. I think something similar to laptops, heat pipes going to the top half of the PS5 housing a big radiator and fan. Or something like PS4 but a bigger heat sink and a bigger fan. Curios if they used liquid metal. Highly doubt it. Time will tell ... waiting for release, I changed my mind on ordering something blind.
