As a person who has yet to play Astro Bot, did it really deserve GOTY over the others? I haven't played an Astro game since the PS4 early days when they had the bots to explore the abilities of the DS4.

Helldivers 2 I am glad took home their awards. The game beat out even Fortnite for best ongoing game and I didn't expect that to happen.

@nessisonett what filler? The most I can say are the music performances but it's to keep the audience in attendance engaged instead of just playing videos of trailers and gameplay the whole time.

This year's award show has been better than any of the previous game awards in my opinion. Usually, there aren't more than one or two games I'm interested in but I'm looking forward to many that were shown. I've never had an interest in playing The Witcher 3 but now I am gonna play it before Witcher 4 comes out. I am excited about Naughty Dog's new IP. FINALLY they are making something new and it is far off from their usual creations.

The concept and the gameplay have sold me on it.

This mode might just bring me back to Fortnite. I've always only played when friends send me an invite when I'm online but not often. But this mode seems like fun and something different that can keep a solid balance instead of an all-out Battle Royale approach.

@get2sammyb is it possible for you all to start having gameplay trailers instead of the announcement trailers? Most announcement trailers don't match up with gameplay trailers. Just a suggestion.

This isn't even a rewards program anymore for regular purchases or subscription renewals(point accumulation is ceasing for this anyways). Just feels like a program that Sony can shine even though it's of no true benefit to PS gamers. I'm disappointed in Sony for this.

I checked because I haven't bothered using my points in a while. I don't see the option for me to exchange points for a PS gift card at all. Only the option for games or collectibles. wtf!

@thefourfoldroot1 this is a pretty negative take but I understand your view. Profit-wise, you are forgetting about microtransactions, season passes, & memberships to live-service games. The publishers make more from live-service games than those who make a single-player game.

I only see it as a negative for the industry because fewer new IP will be released annually. But if I am enjoying my live-service game, I don't have an issue with this as long as the new content is good.

I play GTA the majority of the time because with a limited time to finish some games, I just want to enjoy gaming and that's why I continue playing it online. I have continued playing other games for new releases or some in my backlog but once I'm done, I go right back to GTA online.

This will be very useful for wanting to Platinum a game or for online games. I usually have gone to Youtube to search for how to do something specific. This will be such a valuable new feature.

I truly don't see the point of a PS5 Pro at this moment. I think another 3-5 years once the PS5 tech is finally pushed to its limit. With the capabilities of the PS5 having never even been elevated to where it could be if it got the attention from Sony solely relying on the PS4 base, I would agree with the pro release. However, I don't see a point. Technology lasts longer due to fast advancements, and PS5 is no different. I hope Sony delays the PS5 pro release even further back.

@nocdaes The languages shouldn't be an issue since many primary languages on the continent or in countries whose families can afford consoles are English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. If not the primary, definitely the second primary language. They have to start slow before needing to dive into the dialects.

Just like companies separate the continent of Asia with China and SE Asia, I want companies to do the same. The continent of Africa is not a monolith. South Africa, yea, being an economic powerhouse on the continent, I dislike when companies group 53 separate countries as if it's a single one.

There's a reason why game studios are trying to get into Live Service games now, the amount of money Fortnite makes globally with the amount of players gaming annually is a crazy number I am sure. GTA is somewhat in this mix because of GTA online. Wow.

@Pixipantalon @LaurenIpsum as an active GTA online player, this new DLC provides not just a new business but other changes and new missions to do. We get maybe 3 large updates a year and after the last update, this is a welcome one. I welcome this update.

Gonna play at some point tomorrow. I platinumed Ragnarok so I am looking forward to going back to this world and gaining those new trophies too.

If Crunchyroll was fully included in PS Premium then I would upgrade since Crunchyroll is my go-to service for anime streaming.

Finally, more original IP and not sequels. I'm looking forward to more info on the game.

I've had every PlayStation console and handheld. The PS2 was very popular when I was a kid but my family could only afford a PS1. I started from there, then got a PS2 when the PS3 launched. I had a PSP. Then I finally bought myself a PS3 Slim when it came out because I finally had a job. I grew up on PlayStation and they always have a great selection of games that contain strong stories. I had an Xbox gifted to me, but I play my PS2 way more. Sony has earned these results.

I might snag AC: Mirage for that price.

Resogun is such a fantastic game. Yes, it's straightforward, but it's one of the toughest games to Platinum and I had so much fun aiming for it. It started out small, but it was such a success that the developers expanded the game with new additions. I'm so glad it made it within one of the defining PS4 games.

Seems to be monthly now of hearing another Naught Dog veteran leaving the company. I hope there isn't something bigger going on.

Is Best Adaptation a new category? I never have seen that before.

Guess I haven't played many new games in the last year because I only have played two games on this nomination list. I haven't been excited for many of the new releases and many are because it takes too long to complete the main story.

Anyone know how good this can be with using it with your phone's hotspot? For instance, being on a train or bus and you want to play.

Well, I bought it on sale back when TLOU show was on tv. I still haven't played it yet, but oh well.

If this is true, I will start Gotham Knights. The overall site review is not so good, but the team reviewed it at 7. I'll get to see for myself now.

I added in my ratings and realized that I have played more Batman games than any other superhero games. Batman's Telltale series are underrated and Arkham Asylum deserves to be higher than Arkham City.

As much as I enjoy this anime, the game isn't worth getting for me. I've never been into this style of gaming.

@twitchtvpat I'm speaking specifically about the voice actors and motion capture actors. I wish more of the gaming industry were unionized though.

I'll buy the game during a holiday sail. It's only a month until that season starts and I have other games to get through until then. I'm excited to return to the AC world since I haven't played a game since AC Unity.

51 trophies are a hell of a lot of trophies for a single game without any DLC attached. I hope the game is good enough for me to have an interest to platinum because that's going to be a grind.

Are the price changes to the monthly or three-month subscription tiers? It says the annual subscription is being increased but still discounted. How, if monthly and the three-month prices aren't increased?

Many people use PS Plus only to have access to online gaming. I stick with single-player games but enjoy playing GTA Online when I just want a break from other games, from platinuming a game, or during slow periods during gaming seasons when there aren't any new games that pique my interest.

I always find it very interesting how the US and UK sales charts can be vastly different. Can be a display of different genres of gaming interests.

This of course excludes the games like Mario or GTA that are always in the top ranking for years.

I just read the PS Blog. I'm confused. Can I use PS Explore with my phone for personal use? The blog is confusing.

I wonder how good the earbuds are. It would be great to use these for both gaming and personal use.

@Mauzuri the game continues to sale specifically for GTA Online. There are weekly updates and get at least new "big updates" to content at least 3x a year. I got GTA 5 as a gift and have gotten maybe hundreds of hours in and I have barely touched the surface of the possibilities.

GTA Online is a combination of every game genre excluding. This is coming from a person who is more into RPGs, fantasy, and adventure games.

Also remember, the "average" gamers aren't on sites like this reading up on gaming new and tend to only play GTA or a sports game. For a game to be this strong for over a decade and for 3 console generations is nothing easy and means there's something bringing back gamers.

Soon I'll be finishing FFXVI and still unsure if I want to platinum it. But this is great because the only game I am interested in this fall so far is AC: Mirage. I haven't finished Spiderman or Miles Morales so I rather focus on different games until I can come back around to Spiderman.
