I wonder how many «free» movies I’ve been given by Netflix during the same period.

Not sure if I’m most baffled by the point that Sony went from designing the excellent looking PS1, PS2, PS3 and PS4 to this, or by the point that some seem to like it.

I still think it looks awful, and hope at they’ll release a version with a different color scheme (navy blue, gray or black instead of white could somewhat save it). It’ll be the ugliest thing in my tv section. I’m glad it at least can be put horizontally.

They should’ve cut about 20 minutes of footage here. Also, I’ll never be blown away by «footage of cut scenes captured on console». The games that got me hyped the most were those that showed actual gameplay, like Ratchet & Clank. I still find it baffling that they didn’t find a way to show us these games in 4K and 60 fps - that would’ve made it much more impressive.

(Also, that console is the worst looking Sony has designed so far, wtf.)

It would probably look okay if it was all black, as it is it just looks like Astro Bot or Gizmoduck. While all those different shapes and forms looks great on paper, keeping this thing clean will be hell. Hope they’ll release a simpler design.

Will finally buy What Remains of Edith Finch (65% off).

Would’ve bought Stranded Deep as well, if it wasn’t released in such a sorry state - seems like a very fun premise, but not fond of developers selling games that clearly wasn’t ready for release.

I’m really disappointed by this. Here’s the long awaited showcase of the PS5, and what we get is a promise that it will look better in real life, promise.

Not that I mind at all, but this just seems strange to me. There’s always something bad happening in the world - covid-19, for instance, will keep claiming lives all over the world throughout most of 2020. When is the right time for a celebration, then?

@YeoSprings Hope you’re right, but I have no hope in Sony pulling something like that off. It’ll be 10-15 PS2 games, 10-15 PS1 games and that’s it.

Is it too late to cancel WWE 2K20 as well?

It sounds much better than it looks. I’m glad they moved the light bar to the sides, as it hopefully won’t refleckt back of the TV like on the PS4.

It’s annoying that the PS4 (and Switch) doesn’t have this information available.

Not quite what I expected, but I guess it did what (appearantly) was Sony’s intention.

They could’ve «saved» it by throwing in 2 minutes of game footage at the end, though.

Doubt this, but I am hoping that you will be able to buy and play digital games from all PS consoles.

It’s refreshing in the sense that nobody else is consistent in matters like this. I’d almost expect them to call it PS V or some bulls*** like that.

If the graphics and load times are better than the Switch version, I’ll probably buy this again.

I was afraid that this game would fall flat on its absurdity, but glad that’s not the case. Looking forward to it!

@ShogunRok @nessisonett Yeah, don’t get me wrong, this is a new low, but if it was going to happen to one publisher, my first suspect would’ve been 2K.

@get2sammyb Two years ago, WWE 2K18 for the Switch.

This is how 2K operates and have done so for years: release first no matter state, fix later.

@HenFjo Oh, no doubt about it, but it’s easier to give a quick wipe over on a simple/plain console.

It looks cool, but I’m hopeful the retail version won’t look close to this. I’m having enough trouble keeping my consoles dust free as it is.

@Nintyfan Agree. I’d probably pay more for a «PS4 Version» of a game, if I knew I could pay DLC-price for the rest of the console generation, getting new wrestlers, updates etc. As it is today, I’ll buy one wrestling/football game every five-six years, and only once it’s heavily discounted.

2K Games have released games in this state for years, and people keep on buying their games, so I don’t see them changing anything. I stopped buying their games new after the disaster that was Civilization V.

Just picked up WWE 2K19 again, and are planning to finish My Career, some of the Towers as well as giving Showcase a try. I played it for a week or so around February, but moved on to other things, and are back to fill my wrestling game needs. (First wrestling game since the Gamecube.)

(Not planning on picking up WWE 2K20.)

If this runs smoothly on the PS4 Pro (and the controls are no issue), then I’ll definitely pick this up!

@vhsodre Well, except for the fact that they have someone above them who can tell then what they should do. While Sony’s track record clearly is better than most, many great independant development studios have become worse after getting new ownership (Rare, BioWare, Dice etc.).

Not sure if we, the gamers, will benefit from this or not, but great move by Sony, securing more exclusives.

It’s hard to tell whether this actually is a good game, or if it’s a rip of one game with the art style of another game put on top. I’ll await reviews.

Is this also a yellow flag for the «Afternoon Collection»?
