This game seems gross like all Activision/Blizzard’s other whale hunts. I won’t support it.

@PegasusActual93 wish people would stop spreading this misconception. The number of games on PS that actually do this is very small. The vast majority of games will install and run off the disc.

I’ll use the 50 quid on two indie games that actually managed to get disc releases then.

My most requested feature is the ability to skip the endless, miserable, repetitive, villain monologues. I doubt that’s what’s happening though.

Back 4 Blood has improved a lot with the additions the dlc added. The additional acts are more varied than the main game and the proper offline mode transforms the bots into highly capable killing machines and progression is shared across both modes. Shame they axed any further development.

@rawzeku Considering how many inferior versions the Switch gets in general, I think we can let them have these two. Besides, ours has trophies and that makes it better in my eyes.

@mariomaster96 Yeah I had multiple similar situations. It really started to grate on me by the end of the game.

While it was present in GoW:R, it was way worse in Horizon FW. After coming off Elden Ring, straight onto FW, it was shocking how patronising it felt having Aloy tell you how to progress within seconds of reaching a new obstacle.

The update to the article says it’s digital libraries that are affected not physical but ok. Let’s all keep marching towards oblivion haha

It’s not so much backwards compatibility, more the free upgrade system I have worries about. Specifically ps4 disc to ps5 digital upgrades.

Not implying there’s anything to worry about in the short term. I can just see it being a feature that would fail once the store starts to be sunset down the line. I mean it has issues already.

Hardly pointless. It’s the best version of the game on disc. I doubt the free upgrade system will still be fully functional in 10 years time with the state of the ps3 store is anything to go by. Hoping Cyberpunk gets the same treatment once the dlc is out.

Nothing makes me want to put my wallet away quicker than hearing “Live Service” and “Battle Pass” in the same paragraph.

The upgrades seem pretty minor from what I can tell. If it was actual story content, I would say there is more reason to be upset.

I take trophy support over being able to play it portable any day of the week personally.

I guess as far as Falcom is concerned, they wrapped production on these games when they released in Japan years ago. If those versions didn’t receive the updates, then the western releases wouldn’t either. They’ve moved on to new games. The Switch version is essentially an enhanced port of a port where as we just got the port. I’m not saying it isn’t *****, but I can see why it isn’t happening.

Does this game have an upgrade path from ps4?

Its fun seeing the Xbox doing so well.

I had an original Xbox One Pro controller and it was the biggest pile of **** I ever owned. The shoulder bumper broke after a couple of months and the rubber grips began to stretch and peel with only moderate use. The replacement also broke on the same button after a couple of weeks. It soured me on every buying anything similar again.

I wanted the standard edition but it was already gone by the time I saw it. Reluctantly went for the collectors but I’ll probably sell anything in the set I’m not bothered about.

I mean, I doubt they had plans to do a sequel to Symphonia either, but they saw how popular it was and made one way later. It would make sense to reuse the engine and assets while the game is current and make another.

Cool, I’ll just not play it then. Plenty of other games to play.

Can’t say I saw any marketing for NFS before release, was there any? Saw an infinite amount of Callisto ads on YouTube in the week leading up to release.
