Makes perfect sense. Most households here in Japan only have one TV which is either in the living or dining room. You might get a small TV in a bedroom but it's rare and for those in small apartments (one room) this might be a better experience than playing on a small TV.

I'm sure there's a few cases of parents not understanding the product but they're not the ones preordering them, I'm sure.

Totoki is a pure finance guy and will likely appoint someone in his mould.

People I know who've worked with him say he's very data-driven and he's a very effective decision-maker (not always a strong trait of Japanese business). Let's see.

This is inflammatory, speculative, click-baitery and pretty much baseless - wrapped in a bow for people who love to overreact. I guess pretty much on point for the gaming-entitled sect you've been fostering around recently. Though let's not go into the mixed signals - Sony can't do no wrong (sales figures, exclusives) - Sony sucks (pretty much everything else) - but hey, that's what passes/parses for journalism these days.
