@Rmg0731 And why would Square Enix give up their entire Playstation playerbase for a smaller playerbase with Xbox? It makes zero sense to abandon Playstation players and the franchises that have become synonymous with the brand for Xbox.

I think it is safe to say Microsoft has paid people off to make sure this goes through. And I've always felt Phil Spencer is scum of the earth and a liar.

As for Sony, I truly think they should acquire Square Enix, because I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft out of greed, spite and nastiness won't try to get them next. Now does SE have incentive to become exclusive to Xbox? Not at all, but I'd like to rule out the possibility completely.

@MaccaMUFC But Microsoft pledged they would regardless of a signed contract, so I expect Sony to call their bluff.

I've played 57 hours, with 6-8 hour sessions in Graphics Mode. ZERO issues. Push Square is so dramatic. Making this seem like its widespread.

The developers said there are over 100 sidequests...that is not 100 sidequests.

@get2sammyb They need to add a motion blur toggle though. It's like vaseline when you move the camera.

It's fantastic but it needs a motion blur toggle. The motion blur is way too heavy handed. Made me wanna puke.

I don't know why Push Square continues to push this confused narrative. Obviously, it is all leading to a trailer at Summer Gamefest. Also, both Final Fantasy VII's twitter and Facebook have removed their cover photo and left it mysteriously blank.

Why are the folks at Push Square so confused about these posts? It's obviously a 7-day countdown with the final quote coming the same day as Summer Gamefest. We're obviously getting a trailer then.

@lacerz They are having a live streamed launch event on June 11th. Makes sense to be there. Yoshi P said he wouldn't want the demo to release more than a week or two before the game.

I expect that FF7 Rebirth is going to release March or April 2024. We will probably see it again this summer but AFTER FF16 releases.

They've said this has developed into a AAA game with a story that is equal to their single-player games. I hope people don't think this is going to be free to play still. This is going to be a full-blown $70 release.

@KundaliniRising333 All outlets have been providing praise for the game and calling it a GOTY contender. Many praising the more open zones and exploration and how beautiful they are. Amazing how you've completely twisted the narrative into your own negative fictitious take.

I don't know why you'd expect to have access to every single Eikon in the beginning. Your disappointments come off as ridiculous in the scheme of it all.

If it isn't exclusive there is zero reason to show it at the showcase. Save it for Summer Gamefest.

@OrtadragoonX XII has stellar voice acting, honestly some of the best in the series.

We need to remember that FF7 Rebirth is still scheduled for Winter 2024. So, it is possibly our first real look of that occurs.

What is taking the PS1 classics so long? You can play them all digitally on PS3...like what is seriously the hold up?

Forbidden West was a gorgeous and fantastic game with some of the best sidequest writing I've experienced. Can't wait for the story to wrap up in the epic conclusion.

@Jaz007 Well, that would be a disservice to those of us who played the first two and are excited since the second game legit ends on a massive cliffhanger.

It's a lot of fun. I've been enjoying my time with it.

I am really enjoying it but is it just me or does the color palette of Burning Shores feel more muted/bright? It doesn't feel as rich and colorful as the main game (the water is) but everything seems super sunny (I guess that is LA)

I am trying to figure out why the PS1 Classics are coming so painfully slow and why we can't get some of the really popular ones like Dino Crisis, Parasite Eve, etc.

I put close to 200 hours into my playthrough, super excited for Burning Shores. Mine didn't preload though, I had to manually download it. I've been having issues with this lately even with the auto-download checked and staying in rest mode.

I don't mind paid DLC extras but just to add additional Elvish ambiance? Seems weird.

Everything about FF16 is oozing with polish and I can't wait to get lost in it. Do every hunt, side quest, explore all the maps and elite bosses. The team behind this has delivered some of the best stuff in FF and I know they will deliver.

The game looks fantastic and is truly bringing the series back to its roots fantasy-wise. Love that they've changed the game to more of an action RPG. As for showing too much? Even after all they've shown its been very hyper-focused on different aspects of the game. Nothing feels spoiled at all and I still don't even really know what the story is.

@DrGonzo As a fan since the 1990s you don't know what the hell you're talking about it.

I adored this game and spent 35 hours my first run and still hadn't completed all the side quests, some which had really interesting story bits to them. Really beautiful world even in performance mode, going to definitely dive back in for a second playthrough.

They've offered weapon unlocks for every game since RE2R, so none of this is new. Don't like them? Don't buy them!

@rakghoul Because it sold over 8 million copies and has an incredible fanbase that still plays it to this day. Guerilla is their first-party studio, this is their franchise, and they plan to see it through as the planned trilogy it has always been. You are in no way obligated to play it, but you have no right to demand more games not be made just because you want other games to be made.

I loved GoW 2018. I could not get into Ragnarok and after 17 hours abandoned it. The story felt listless with no real drive, the different zones felt very small, even the more open ones felt very restrictive by design. I don't know it just simply wasn't for me and I love big spectacle cinematic games. This? Just felt bored.

I still don't think Sony is going to sign anything. I think they will call Microsoft's bluff. MS says they have zero intentions to remove COD from Playstation? Prove it. That shouldn't need a contract. Let's see if they were blowing smoke.

@ApostateMage FFXIV is basically an incredible single-player FF experience in an MMO wrap. And they continue to make it more solo- accessible which is fantastic.

I adore this game. I take month-long breaks from time to time but always keep my sub because I will get a week or two of non-stop playing here and there. Incredible world just to hang out in. I did NOT like Stormblood though, but the new zones I do love. If that makes sense.

@rawzeku I didn't like Stormblood storywise, but the zones it added were fantastic. I love gathering in some of them solely for the ambiance and music.

Let's not act like the PS5 version is perfect either. The game has a very soft image. Totally not hitting 4K.

@KaijuKaiser Sony isn't going to take that deal regardless. They've shown they openly despise MS. They may lose CoD sales but MS has more to lose with COD not on Sony's platform and playerbase.

It still has to pass in the USA and there is no guarantee it will. Honestly, I don't see Sony taking the deal and telling MS to shove it up their a--.

I am super excited! Can't wait!
