Just a flop all round. Shame considering the clear amount of effort but this is a disaster. This is the end result of years worth of development time on a genre that will be left behind by the time it releases. It’s like starting to make an extraction shooter these days, you cannot predict what will blow up in the meantime and it’s very very hard to be ahead of the curve.

Absolute blasphemy! Even on the very worst day, it’s an 8 for the package you’re getting. The precision aiming is off because of the emulation, it’s far too sensitive due to the DualSense. It’s probably muscle memory but I’ve had literally zero issues just aiming from the hip, the guns still feel good as long as you uninvert the right stick from the menu. Yes, a remaster would be nice, but what you get is still the best console exclusive FPS of all time. I’ve had more fun doing the Virus arcade set than I’ve had in any game this generation.

I’m super excited for this. The game that made me want an Xbox but I’m just really glad it’s coming to PS5 so I wouldn’t have to attempt to stream it or (god forbid) dump cash on an Xbox 😂

I just think the price has killed it before anything. If it was free then it would beat the hate because anybody can give it a go and gameplay trumps all (see XDefiant etc). Nobody’s going to dump money on something that both isn’t guaranteed to take off and has this level of crap around it.

@theSpectre I have several platinum trophies in Arcade and Challenge that took me a while and fairly certain were down to sheer luck, if the PS platinum relies on those then I’d rather not have to do too many again!

I’m like ‘hooray’ but also like ‘oh god I should stop playing 2 immediately in case trophies don’t transfer’.
