I was hoping for a spiritual successor to BioShock but was left with a frustrating FPS with a so so story that couldn't hook me enough to see it through to the end
The king decided my birthday on Monday was worth a national holiday so technically Monday is still the weekend and I'll finally get to play Stellar Blade. But before that it'll be Tales of kenzera (which is really bloody good) maybe a bit of Dave the diver too
Reminds me of saddos fanboys that down vote Xbox or playstation exclusives on metacritic as they own the other console. These are grown men most the time
@Sequel my birthday. My wife's got me it for it. Luckily got Dave the Diver to entertain me untill I can play it. May get demo replayed beforehand to get into swing of things again
@Rich33 yeah he's great at performance analysis too. I do watch his channel. From time to time and some of his IGN vids. Not seen much from him in a while but don't tend to pay much attention to IGN now (most their presenters irritate the hell out of me)
@Rich33 love digital foundry. Just get facts with them.
The video was interesting. As you say they prioritised solid frame rate, as high resolution as each frame rate would allow and polish over visual techniques like ray tracing.
Looks like it's paid off as the video shows solid frame rate in all 3 modes (only if got vrr capable TV for balanced mode)
Wow Resi 4 for £15. No brainer for anyone late to the party. May have to see if can sell my PS4 copy of it (it was £10 cheaper I think) and get it on PSN so don't have to put PS4 disk in to play the PS5 version
Went back on plus for Dave the diver. I'm enjoying it so far. Got ps5 version of doom eternal downloading for some demon slaying. Maybe bit of Resi 7 too. Having a blast going back to that
My local GAME is moving to sports direct and clearing it's stock so got physical edition of Tunic for a good price and resi 7 dirt cheap but think may finally get the new avatar game this weekend
My genuine favourite so far has to be the last of us part 2 remastered. It's such a good game that even as a remaster I'd finished already it still won out for me.
Im currently enjoying Hi-fi rush and had a great time with Brothers remake, Banishers, alone in the dark and prince of persia but still TLOU 2 was my pick
License's still have an impact plus Snow Day was cheaper than most new releases and is multiplayer focused so maybe cracking top 3 in first week isn't surprising. Especially as most people buying it won't have looked at reviews

Re: Over 1,250 Massive PS5, PS4 Games Discounted Right Now
@Logonogo very much agreed.
I was hoping for a spiritual successor to BioShock but was left with a frustrating FPS with a so so story that couldn't hook me enough to see it through to the end
Re: Hands On: Stellar Blade Does PS5 New Game + the Right Way
Started playing it yesterday. It's superb so far
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 527
@Northern_munkey sorry for your loss mate.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 527
@FinneasGH it's a great game but the sea people parts definitely feel like filler and get in the way a bit
Re: Review Bombers Were Even Attacking Other Games Made by Helldivers 2 Dev
All I can say is these people that review bomb are sad petty little p*****

Re: Helldivers 2 PC Is Getting Review Bombed Over PSN Requirement
Gamers are a sad petty bunch.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Stellar Blade?
I'll tell you when I get it on Monday. Played the demo again today. If the demo is reflective I'm going to have a blast
Re: Rumour: Resident Evil 9 Reveal and Release Imminent, Out in January
I'm all in loved 7 and 8 (especially 8).
Re: Many, Many More Xbox Ports Plotted for PS5, New Speculation Suggests
@DennisReynolds I'd love it. My mate said Halo infinite was amazing and I'd love to play it in PS5
Re: Funko Fusion Is Either Your Dream or Nightmare, Out This September
@Sequel lol brilliant idea
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Sea of Thieves on PS5?
Just not my sort of game. If it had a meaty solo story mode I may have checked it out at some point but as it is it doesn't interest me.
I miss Rare of SNES and N64 eras.
I also loved Kameo
Re: Funko Fusion Is Either Your Dream or Nightmare, Out This September
@Sequel if you're going to get them they are good ones to get but no Niles??
Re: Microsoft 'Meeting Players Where They Are' as Xbox Games Among PS Store's Bestsellers
Saying stuff like this is getting excuses in early when they end up realising pretty much every IP they own on PS5
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 526
@Pranwell I love the fishing and restaurant bits but find the sea people bits a bit off.
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Stellar Blade?
@PCPS4XB yeah going to do that day before do it's like getting it early lol
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 526
Awaiting Stellar Blade as a birthday present so it's Dave the Diver for me (not that I'm complaining. It's so good).
May give Tales of kenzera a try if can peel myself away from fishing and serving sushi lol
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 526
@matekomlosi I finished Edward's story and started Emily's and it was so samey so gave up on it. It had it's moments but was ultimately a let down
Re: PS Stars Guide: All Campaigns and Solutions (April 2024)
@thefourfoldroot1 yeah that's what it was. I assumed as it was separate to plus so didn't realise it was needed to get coins
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Stellar Blade?
@Sequel my birthday. My wife's got me it for it. Luckily got Dave the Diver to entertain me untill I can play it. May get demo replayed beforehand to get into swing of things again
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Stellar Blade?
Come May 6th I'll be playing it

Re: Over 1,500 PS5, PS4 Games Discounted in New PS Store Sale
@atthegates yes it's worth it. Quite sizeable for it's £8 no sale price
Re: Stellar Blade (PS5) - A Stellar PS5 Debut Destined to Become a Fan Favourite
Can't wait for this. But since my wife's gettinge it for my birthday I'm going to have to lol
Re: Over 1,500 PS5, PS4 Games Discounted in New PS Store Sale

Re: Another Day One PS Plus Extra Game Available to Download Now
Got it downloaded to play as like the look but I'm hooked on Dave the diver
Re: Tales of Kenzera: ZAU (PS5) - Heartfelt Metroidvania on the Simple Side
Noisy pixel gave it 9 so maybe it's more of a 7? It's on plus so I'll try it out sometime this week
Re: It Looks Like Kena: Bridge of Spirits Is Heading to New Platforms
I bought this at launch and loved it. Art style is amazing. Glad it's going to get a potential bigger audience
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 525
@RudeAnimat0r wow your library is way better than mine 😂
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 525
@Slippship I got it last week but it's not grabbed me at all
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 525

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Final Fantasy 16: The Rising Tide?
Seeing as I didn't end up finishing the main game it's a no
Re: 2016's Ratchet & Clank Reboot Gets Fan-Favourite Gun in Free Update
@BetaRabbit64 they don't need to. It looks amazing and they already added 60fps mode for it on PS5 that makes it even better
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 524
@playthedangame happy birthday. Have a good one
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 524
My local GAME is moving to sports direct and clearing it's stock so got physical edition of Tunic for a good price and resi 7 dirt cheap but think may finally get the new avatar game this weekend
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 524
@kirkn loved the reboot trilogy. Especially rise. Shadow was good but something felt off compared to the other two but i still thoroughly enjoyed it
Re: Talking Point: What's Your Favourite PS5 Game of 2024 So Far?
My genuine favourite so far has to be the last of us part 2 remastered. It's such a good game that even as a remaster I'd finished already it still won out for me.
Im currently enjoying Hi-fi rush and had a great time with Brothers remake, Banishers, alone in the dark and prince of persia but still TLOU 2 was my pick
Re: Poll: How Much Do You Care About 60fps on PS5?
@AnVold I wouldn't say no to 4k unless its at the cost of 60fps.
Re: Poll: How Much Do You Care About 60fps on PS5?
Gameplay is king, 60fps plays better and smoother than 30fps so I always go for performance modes.
I had no choice until last July as until then I didn't have a 4k TV. Now I do I still choose performance modes.
I find lower frame rates are more noticeable than lower resolutions so it's the lesser of 2 evils to me
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 523
Hi-fi rush mainly. Maybe bit of penny's big breakaway
Re: 'Smaller' PS5 Exclusives Still Reportedly Coming Later This Year
I'd love a longer Astro Bot game. Playroom was the best freebie I've ever played. Loved every minute of it
Re: Tales of Kenzera: ZAU Also a Day One PS Plus Extra Game, Out 23rd April
May have to get a 3 month subscription soon
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 522
@Sanquine sorry to hear that. Hope he's all recovered soon
Re: PS Stars Guide: All Campaigns and Solutions (April 2024)
My last 2 purchases on PSN have not gotten me any star's. It says you don't have to have plus but mines ended and now not getting coins for purchases
Re: UK Sales Charts: South Park: Snow Day Chills with the Bestsellers, Rise of the Ronin Falls
License's still have an impact plus Snow Day was cheaper than most new releases and is multiplayer focused so maybe cracking top 3 in first week isn't surprising. Especially as most people buying it won't have looked at reviews
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 522
Just bought Hi-Fi Rush. Took the risk with my lack of rhythm and from initial blast it's no massive issue. It looks stunning too.
Also bought Penny's Big Breakaway on Friday. Fun but tricky. Looks like an unreleased Dreamcast game in its art style
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Essential Games for April 2024?
@djlard I loved it. It had me gripped. Looks great but bit fuzzy maybe
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 522
@SolarSpirit86 it's not bad is it. Just wish they had made the 2 player's campaign's more unique
Re: The Stellar Blade Playable Demo Is Now Available on PS5
From what I've played of the demo I'm already going to get my wife to get me this for my birthday. It's out not long before it
