lol, Muse lost me with The Resistance album and everything afterwards....just my opinion, I think they use to be a significantly better band. Lyrically they were never strong, so when Matt Bellamy started to go more-so off the deep end and ditch their harder rock sound, it was all downhill.
Metallica, well, no one can deny that Lightning and Master are still some of the best albums ever produced.
Anyways, you should note that this is a updated port of the classic Duke Nukem 3D.....you mentioned classic, but people may assume it's Forever by looking at your title and short write up.......and it looks to be separate from Megaton, which I don't think had Gearbox support.
I'll probably bite, Duke 3D is still a great game, but first I want to see what has all been changed, etc
Maybe I'm overly aggressive, but this is what kinda pisses me off with the gaming media's praise over PSVR........so much of it seems like damned marketing speak from Sony itself, like, showcase two sides,........yeah, PSVR is new experience all together for gaming, but it obviously has issues and limitations (or a lack of overall decent software as seen by Giant Bomb), so before lil Johhny goes and drops 400+ dollars (or bags his parents to) on PSVR and finds himself disappointed, why don't you bring the negatives up as well as the positives, instead of gloating only, as if your on the Sony bankroll?
I don't see why people always make fun of the "blast processing" marketing term......the SNES had a great graphics chip, but it's CPU was like 3.5MHZ compared to the Mega Drives 7.5MHZ 68000.
The SNES could throw out a decent amount of colors, sprites, mode 7, and rotation......but it couldn't handle games like Streets of Rage 2, Alien Soldier, the Sonic series, most of the Genesis shooters, etc, without having massive amounts of slow down.
Maybe I'm ignorant, but these free weeks just kinda confirm that the notion of PS Plus is nothing more than a gimmick to give Sony (and Microsoft with Live) more money in the bank..........Mario Kart 8 played great online and they weren't knocking on my door for 60 bucks.
PS Now is a disappointment, if you have a large screen, the graininess is there, and if you use a low lag input monitor / television, you can tell it's a bit sluggish.
All in all, it's playable, but it still feels a bit off,.......you sensitivity to technical issues will kind of be the determining factor in how much you enjoy it. If you have a small screen 720p television and you were never use to input lag in the 10-25 ms rage, you probably won't mind.
Well, besides being a better series, Microsoft's approach to racing game development, be it the sim Forza or the more casual Horizon, put shame to the many missteps of the GT series in the last 10 years.
I agree, basically all controversies on this site boil down to the fact that Sammy has a $hit taste in gaming (now.....that doesn't speak to his immense work and dedication to this site).
I like the old 5 point scale, when a game scores a 3 or 3.5 out of 5, people go, "ok, it's not great, but it's not bad either"...........when a game scores a 60 out of 100, it means it's crap.
I just can't trust Sammy B, lol, are gaming tastes are too different, the man would have given TW3 and Doom probably 7's and he has an attraction towards artsy high brow games..........while I would pick Gunstar Heroes over Journey pretty much everytime.
This game just seems so unappealing to me in name and aesthetics.....and while I'm sure it's nothing like Limbo, it's still the same developer, and I found that title to be "meh" at best.
I'll stick with the Shovel Knights, Bit.Trips, and Bastions of the world.
lol, I've tried Ikari, but as far as top down run and guns from the era, I think Heavy Barrel is better.......... (probably because it's quite a bit easier ,although I do think the level design of barrel is much more interesting).
It has a story mode, but it's more or less a spruced up arcade mode, it's not like DOA5 or MKX, it's consecutive matches player after each other with a little bit extra sprinkled in.......which is cool by me.
It also has a VS CPU with multiple difficulties and buffs, pretty amazing I know (looking at you Crapcom).
I bought the pre-order for SF5, w the season pass. The launch was a mess?.......It's still a work in progress IMO,....
You know what games also had great mechanics?, Alpha 2/3 and 2nd Impact/Third Strike...........I'll stick with those. You know what series also has great mechanics, KOF, you should give it a try.
The reviewer is that NintendoLife guy, not the guy who reviewed SF5 and Guilty Gear.
Unless Capcom decides to release a Super SF5 instead of the patchwork title that they have been building for the last 7~8 months or so, I'm skipping SF, I don't care how much Capcom fanboys try to stick up for it,..........it was the title that I was most looking forward to in 2016, and it has been nothing but a mess.
2016: KOF > SF, bandwagon Evo wannabe's be damned.
Yeah, I would also disagree that people think KOF is SNK's masterpiece......is it their most commercially viable IP? For sure......but I'm not sure if any single entry is held to the same standards as Samurai Shodown 2 and Garou (maybe KOF 98).
It was kinda just bad wording, it's not SNK's first 3D game, or first 3D fighting game......it's their first large retail release in 6 years (KOF13 hit the arcades in 2010)......they really haven't done anything since, well, until their new overlords bought them out and shoved SNK back into the console gaming sphere.
The KOF14 staff had a decent amount of veteran SNK guys and some ex-Capcom members, but in articles those same people alluded to the fact that the guys responsible for the the graphics were more or less newbs.
Push Square gave it it's lowest score thus far, but than again, they gave SF5 beta edition (at launch) a 9, so..........
I know I'll enjoy this one, the gameplay of KOF made the transition beautifully to 3D, and while it's not a looker, it has the depth, content, and charisma to keep me satisfied.
Are you actually doubting the pictures? C'mon mate, it's pretty obvious that it's legit. An industry insider may care about leaks, but not Joe Shmoe who got his hands on one during initial distribution.
Looks like a PS4 (roughly) cut in half with rounded edges.
This makes me wonder about the recent rumours that the Neo may have been further upgraded by Sony.......perhaps they are pulling a Microsoft, release a slim model this year with 4K media support, and next year release a beefed up Neo that can better compete with the Scorpio (as the original leaked specs of the Neo were somewhat lacking compared to Scorpio).
Evolution is shut down / no more, press articles indicate that at least a good portion of the staff were picked up by Codemasters (who claimed they would more or less stay together as a team).
The cynic in me thinks that due to the fact that their was only a measly single city track in the update last year, Sony went ahead and sliced a good portion off of a Driveclub standard expansion to make this VR version (after all, who was working on it after Evolution got the kick?)
But I'll kinda forgive you for making it a year late due to the fact that it's not being entirely tied down to VR.
Seems like Push Square is on the lower spectrum of review scores, we can probably knock a point off of that Street Fighter 5 review and give it to Mankind Divided (make it an 8).

Muse or Metallica? Maybe if it was 2005 for Muse and 1988 for Metallica.
Re: Oh God! Duke Nukem Returns to PS4 on 11th October

It's Duke Nukem 3D
Re: Oh God! Duke Nukem Returns to PS4 on 11th October
Duke Nukem is pretty much the anti-Sammy B game.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 133
Nuka World DLC for Fallout 4 and Rocket Knight Adventures for the Genesis / Mega Drive.

PSVR .......... can you feel the hype!! (because I can't).

My opinion is fact, Sammy told me so.
Re: Gran Turismo Sport Delayed to 2017 on PS4
@wiiware
BTW, did you know that Forza is better than GT, and Horizon is probably the most purely fun racing series of the last 10 years?
Did you also know that Microsoft doesn't take four years and numerous delays to crank out a quality title? It's called efficiency Sony.
Re: Gran Turismo Sport Delayed to 2017 on PS4

Honestly, what can beat this?

Re: Gran Turismo Sport Delayed to 2017 on PS4
@Fenriswolf-
Sony bucks must go a long way!!
Regardless, the uber super-duper hardcore 3% of GT players doesn't change the fact that it's inferior to Forza.
Of course, Top Gear on the SNES is better than both combined.
Re: Gran Turismo Sport Delayed to 2017 on PS4
@Gamer83
Agree, Gravity Rush 2 still looks pretty amazing.
Re: Gran Turismo Sport Delayed to 2017 on PS4

Who cares!!?? Doesn't change the fact that the series has been in decline and wanning in importance since post-GT4.
Re: Gran Turismo Sport Delayed to 2017 on PS4
@Gamer83
I love how the Sony crowd gets all butt hurt about Forza/Forza Horizon being better, but well, it's true.
GT has lost it's clout since the PS3 days.

I am, I may have bought it, doesn't mean I play it.
See! You aren't even familiar with KOF, but....just because it doesn't have the name recognition, SF always gets brought up.
GTFO!!
