Just platinumed Hellblade and am now continuing my run through of Ninja Theory's back catalog with a play through of Heavenly Sword on PS Plus. I will be getting the platinum for Enslaved after that. Also, working on the platinum for The Order: 1886. My god, does that game still look good in 2024.

MS making that ABK deal look worse than it already did. Gee, I sure hope Phil Spencer gets his bonus after these layoffs....

I was disappointed when we didn't get an update at TGA. I hope this game lands this year. DS1 is incredible and I've no doubt DS2 will be just as amazing.

So wait, The Last of Us Part II Remastered is selling well? But the internet told me that no one wanted it and Naughty Dog are just greedy, woke, cash grabbers? Surely, the internet wouldn't lie to me....

@Grimwood I hope that Sony/Naughty Dog decide to partner with another company to support The Last of Us Online and revive it like they are apparently doing with the Horizon MMO. That would allow ND to oversee development, but primarily focus on The Last of Us Part III and their new IP.

Really enjoying replaying The Last of Us Part II. Going for the platinum again, (I didn't use the auto pop). Then I will be playing No Return.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered and Hellblade. Going to be adding 2 new platinums to my growing collection (currently have 51).

Good luck to them. Probably a good outcome as Rocksteady looks to be in a lot of trouble if Suicide Squad flops.

@Athrum I'd be okay with that. Though, I was pegging Stellar Blade for like August or September. I'm still hoping Death Stranding 2 gets announced for this year.

Putting this on PS Plus day 1 is actually a great move for a live-service MP title (it would not be for a game like Spider-Man 2, looking at you Xbox fans). Definitely will be checking it out, previews have actually been very positive, unlike for Suicide Squad, which is just depressing.

I don't like auto-popping trophies, I'd rather re-earn them. I've only ever auto-popped the trophies for Spider-Man: Miles Morales and didn't enjoy it.

@Savage_Joe There likely won't be a PC version until next year. I expect we'll get a release date for the PC version of Final Fantasy XVI within the next few months. And I still doubt we'll ever see an Xbox version.

@Savage_Joe That's been known, but I believe Final Fantasy XVI's exclusivity period was only 6 months. So, I think May 29th is the earliest that we'd hear about a PC version.

So pumped for this game. That trailer with that epic battle music in the background....

@Fiendish-Beaver You do not need to wait several years to play part 3. You can play FF7 (OG) now. Each part of the FF7 Remake trilogy is built to be played as independent games. Enjoy them now and then let the anticipation and excitement build for the final part.

@TrickyDicky99 No one even knows what Concord is. Usually, a teaser trailer at least gives a brief idea of what the game is. That trailer gave us nothing. Fairgame$ is at least known to be a heist game.

Likely being added ahead of the Alone in the Dark reboot, which is awesome. I really hope Alone in the Dark can find its way back to being a great series. Survival Horror has had an incredible resurgence and I hope it continues.

I think it's likely the next State of Play would be a deep dive into Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. A dark horse possibility is Death Stranding 2.

I love Horizon Forbidden West. It's got amazing visuals and a great story. Currently, replaying Zero Dawn for the plat (already got the FW platinum).

@ApostateMage It's certainly possible given that the second game will cover the second and third seasons. Another singular episode could be devoted to the Hospital. That was possibly the most terrifying sequence in either of the 2 games.

Interesting to see how she transforms into Abby. Eight Emmys for season 1. Can't wait for season 2!

Clearly, this game was conceived before the big live service crash. However, having spent so much money on it, they cannot just abandon it. It's a shame for the studio that created the Arkham trilogy. I wonder if Rocksteady made the decision for this to be live service or if that came from Warner Bros.?

@XenonKnight That's correct. They also had 2 mass layoffs last year of tens of thousands of employees. MS is a company and will cut dead weight, if they feel its necessary (not because they have to). If Xbox is only spending money and not making money, MS will stop investing in it.

If this ends up being true, it would seem like Xbox isn't profitable (especially in contrast to how much MS has spent on acquisitions) and they realize that keeping these expensive games exclusive to the distant, third place console is not going to get Xbox to recoup MS investments.

Final Fantasy XIV, as always, and currently going for the platinum in Horizon Zero Dawn. I have the plat in HFW and now have to go back and add in HZD.

Pleasantly surprised to know Snake Eater is coming this year. It'll be nice to return to MGS after so long. Interesting that Concord is scheduled for 2024, but no mention of Fairgames.

This isn't surprising at all. Having said that, I doubt MS and Old man Spencer will do much to change that.

My personal top 3 for the year are Alan Wake II, Spider-Man 2, and Final Fantasy XVI in that order.

@UltimateOtaku91 when was the last time anyone bought an Xbox for their exclusives? PS5 is outselling Xbox Series 3 to 1.

@ironcrow86 It cost nearly $300 million. It's certainly not a poor man's Arkham. I'd say it probably cost a lot more than all of the Arkham games combined.

This is a great month. I will absolutely be diving headfirst into A Plague Tale: Requiem.

This is terrible for Insomniac (especially the employee data being stolen). I will continue to support them 100% and will not view anything from Wolverine until they are ready to show it off.

It sucks, but ultimately, I think this is the right call. The last thing anyone wants is for Naughty Dog to become a live service machine. Let them get back to what they do best: epic single player experiences. Now, if we could only get a new Uncharted game....

This is probably the best move. Sony should end this stupid push into live service and let their studios get back to what they are good at. Now maybe we can get a few new games from Naughty Dog that aren't remakes/remasters.

I really like seeing Jak alongside Joel, Ellie, Nate, and the rest of the Uncharted crew. Though, that Insomniac one is adorable.

I think I remember seeing somewhere that Alan Wake 2 sold around 2 million around launch. I think these numbers are misleading as the game is digital only. I really hope this game does well because I don't want to wait until 2036 for Alan Wake III.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, easy. Though, it's a little disappointing that we don't have any confirmed first party games, as of right now, for 2024. I hope the new regime ends Sony's radio silence that has been so prevalent during Jim Ryan's tenure.

Actually, I'm pretty excited by this. I remember having a lot of fun playing this on PS1, back in the day....I'm really getting old.
