Re: More Resident Evil Remakes Are on the Way, Capcom Confirms

@Shepherd_Tallon RE6 was too big and unfocused. 4 campaigns was just too much. Leon's campaign was easily the best with Ada's second. Jake's and Chris's were both terrible and could have been reworked or cut. Overall, RE6 isn't as bad as people make it out to be, but definitely not of usual Resident Evil quality.

I still think we're getting a new RE1 remake. The current RE1 remake is still my favorite Resident Evil game, but I would love for a more modern version that fits with the current games' play styles (and with Jill's current model). However, Code Veronica definitely needs it more. I'd argue that RE5 and 6 don't really need remakes. But Code Veronica absolutely desperately needs it.

@MrMagic If you include the VGAs before that, they've had a game nominated every year since 2008 (minus 2014)

2009: Uncharted 2 (won)
2010: God of War III
2011: Uncharted 3
2012: Journey
2013: The Last of Us
2015: Bloodborne
2016: Uncharted 4
2017: Horizon Zero Dawn
2018: God of War (won), Marvel's Spider-Man
2019: Death Stranding
2020: The Last of Us Part II (won), Ghost of Tsushima
2021: Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
2022: Horizon Forbidden West, God of War Ragnarok

@zhoont I think the reason is that Melanie Liburd did the voice and mo-cap for Saga Anderson, whereas Alan is mo-capped by Ilkka Villi, but voiced by Matthew Poretta. And while they are excellent, Liburd did both, so not surprised she would get the full nod. I'm more surprised that Nadji Jeter didn't get a nod for Miles Morales or Ralph Ineson for Cid in FFXVI (though Ben Starr absolutely deserves it).

This is exactly why I've been saying this debacle is not the fault of Sledgehammer Games. Since their inception, they've been treated as the unwanted stepchild of Activision and trapped in Call of Duty hell. Their games are always seen as lesser in comparison to the highly overrated Treyarch and the shadow of their former selves Infinity Ward (again, not the devs at the studio faults either, this all come down to corporate greed). Sledgehammer made one of the best CoDs (WWII) and since then have been forced to work in terrible conditions and now are blamed for this failure just because the Activision suits wanted one last sales bonus before MS puts every new game on Game Pass. Pathetic. Sorry Sledgehammer devs, you deserve better.

Re: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Writer Warns Against Weird Fan Requests to 'Kill' Certain Characters

I gotta point out that (spoiler warning for a 26 year old game) fans have been trying to find a way to save Aerith ever since Final Fantasy VII came out way back in 1997. Now that there seems to be a legit possibility she may survive, some people are losing their damn minds. I mean come on, why can't we just be happy that the FF7 remake project exists and commend SE for taking an approach that actually does leave room for surprises? Having said that, if Tifa gets killed off....
