Man I think making AAA games are starting to not worth it for western country because the cost is too high. It's like gamble everytime developers making AAA games, it's either success and making a lot of money, or fail and losing a lot of money too.

Or maybe western gaming company is just too bloated filled with unnecessary spending and staff.

The game is okay, the gameplay is good, but the story is just weird and the protagonist is just too bland. Design wise, she's like npc from some other generic games, like the protag from returnal I think.

Sifu is good (got it on epic store since it's discounted and cheap back then), the others is just eh.

In the end I think nintendo is the one in good position right now, they successfully cultivated fan base that not only want 1st party AAA games like zelda botw/totk and mario odyssey, but the smaller games as well, like 2D metroid & mario, mario paper games, 2D kirby, etc.

Really? even indie games are getting remake now, even though the original game graphics isn't that bad. They only need port it to ps5.

I remember playing ff7 remake on ps4 back then and surprised that tifa & aeris is so pretty in the game, then I realized I probably played (AAA) ps4 western games too much 😂

I'm interested in this game the first time I saw the first trailer, even before the dimensions hopping from 2D to 3D. After watching the game seamlessly transform from 2D into 3D I think I'll get this day one, I love innovative gameplay like this 😃

Considering I mostly play indie and retro games now, I hope this game come out soon since I still want to play this

Yes, it will be cool to see what games are trending, I think sony should just copy 100% steam features and be done with it, like the 2 hours refund and others features .

The AAA industry is just too bloated, there's just too many people in it, its too focused on story and graphics now rather than gameplay and innovation. That's why some games company like nintendo keep having multi millions evergreen sellers despite having worse graphics and less story than other 3rd party developers, they "gameplay first" concept is the right way to develop games.

Oh and stop making (catering) games for "everyone". Elden ring, game that clearly not for everyone, sells more than ff16, game that have "easy (equipment) mode", that theoretically make it available for "everyone".

Xbox fans can buy it on pc at least, I think switch/ps5/pc is the best combo, or if you have high-end pc, just pc & switch is enough.

@dark_knightmare2 I subbed to gamepass when I have xbox series console back then because it's cheap and discounted everywhere, it's really good but in the end, I have more games than I have time, I prefer buying and playing that bought game rather than paying monthly for renting games.

I hope sony make $20 psplus basic version only for cloud saves and ps store discount.

You can't have full AAA single player games with subscription service like gamepass, the games will always have to have additional incomes (mtx) so people can't just subbed for 1 month to play that games and unsubbed after that, basically renting it online. The cost of single player AAA games are too high for that.

And yeah, psplus essential is suck now too at $80 yearly, a couple of years ago when it's $60 I usually can find a good deal for the yearly subs (usually at $40). The only thing I need is save backup so I guess I'll save it to usb every couple of months 😕

I want to play this on portable / switch but playing this without playstation controller seems wrong somehow lol.

Gears 1-3, halo mcc collection and sunset overdrive with 60 fps support is all I need from xbox 😃

Cool I guess, I want to play halo mcc collection & halo infinite (single player) on ps5, and I want to play gears of war collection 1-3 on ps5 too.

It will be cool if both game available for the rumored switch 2 too, playing halo and gears portable will be pretty cool I think 😃

Gameplay time about 25 - 30 hours is perfect I think, like nier automata normal ending. Nier automata gameplay time is crazy though, after getting the normal ending its like we got the sequel already with the additional story and endings. When I finished it and got platinum for the game, my gameplay time is at 123 hours.

Nice, western big AAA games is just too safe now, I feels like back in the ps2 era, where I prefer japanese games compared to western ones. Some western games in ps2 era rules though, like baldur gate dark alliance 1 & 2

It's nice to see developers that make attractive protagonist rather than editing them to make them less attractive, like, you know, every western AAA developers

It's not about the games but the hardware price too, like how when making ps5 slim sony actually <raise> its price rather than lowering it like previous playstations slim, and that's with competition like the $300 xbox series s 😕

I like nier automata western dub, but why this game use british dub? It's weird watching the anime-like characters using british instead of english. I imagine some games like professor layton is more apt for british dub though.

I'll wait for uncharted 1 re-remake for ps6 lol.

@greengecko007 The latest news from twitter is the one saying palworld using ripped models is lying, using trick to make it like so, and the person already apoligizing. Also I'm sure pokemon company will already sue palworld dev if it's true.

I prefer playing survival games (like valheim) in the pc since playing the building part is easier with a mouse. I do hope the game come out for ps5 😃

@greengecko007 Nintendo isn't the first company to make monster collection games, and if the "pal" in the game too similar to pokemon design, Pocketpair can change the monster design in the 1.0 release of the game.

In the end, the market just want an innovative pokemon games, and if Game Freak can't make it, somebody will.

I agree with him. I rarely travel in elder scroll oblivion or skyrim since it's really fun to just walk from place to place finding new content, either new cave, dungeon, bandit encounter, or another side quest 😃

Of course the option to fast travel should be there in the game since sometimes you just want to clear that one quest without getting distracted by other quest/cave/dungeon etc.

I heard that ps5 is the cheapest in japan compared to other region so scalper buy it to sells it on other region, maybe that explain the strong hardware but soft software things.

Can't wait for this game since I like both turn-based strategy games and vanillaware games

That's why I rarely played new games anymore, beside nintendo titles, nearly all games will be discounted a couple of month before release. Only a couple of special games that get day one buy for me, I think the last day one buy for me is final fantasy 16 on ps5.

Sony should focus on single player games again and just search partners for live service games. Genshin impact and honkai rail star is a great catch for sony, a successful (console) exclusive games that's only available on playstation.

Let see how activision / blizzard games differ in quality after he left, I hope the games get better under microsoft. It will be cool if we get proper warcraft 3 remaster though, I remember getting hyped for that game before watching the end result lol.

I think AI will be here to stay, using AI for say, dynamic npc behaviour & voice in gta series will be cool I think. I also heard japanese manga will use AI as base translation rather than using localizer, if the translation is good I can see that game developers will also using it for their games. Unlike NFT, AI is here to stay.

Pretty good, those 3 games are okay I guess.
