@Titntin its not that interesting for game business development.
Xbox as a brand is failing, they've released hardly any true meaningful exclusives for years, no ones buying into their economy system.
Yes it may of started at xbox one with that disaster but they have not even come close to what Phil said when he took over.
Phil promised games and year on year failed to deliver anything.
All what's happening is the xbox brand is being folded back into Microsoft games and they'll just become a publisher again, just like take two, ea, ubisoft.
They'll keep trying with game pass. Maybe it'll work maybe it won't but 1 things for sure is that the day and date releases onto the platform has hurt their own bank balance.
What baffles me is why release 4 small titles to try and gauge people, surely they should stick or make some remasters of their top franchise and see how they will do. 4 small titles will not prove anything in my eyes.
All I gained all of this is, they built up to this and still haven't actually told us what is happening.
Well to be fair how fitting is it that the merger happened.
Activision throwing great teams in prison to just work on call of duty and xbox the one company who seems to buy studios and then just run them into the ground.
Its very fitting.
I didn't like the merger as it can and will open the flood gates of nothing is off limits but I was hopeful that they would reshuffle the teams so they could be more creative and leave the teams who want to keep making call of duty on it.
Nothing. Their internal teams who work on their main franchises I mean come on the games haven't even been good.
Halo former shell of itself. Gears former shell of itself Forza games brilliant but it's still a niche genre.
What have they got?
O yeah all the games they had in the pipeline what were already going to be third party anyway before they bought the entire parent company.
I mean up until now the only games what have been exclusive from them is
Starfield mediocre average space game.
Hi Fi Rush great little game.
Everything else if they do go to other platforms would mean that nothing has actually changed because we ain't got to point these games have even been announced yet.
Xbox truly has no games. Phil began his term as manager saying and promising but until now nothing to write home about.
You know the only competition is the competition in fan boys heads.
Sonys first party ever since the ps1 ha e never degraded.
PlayStation may of played and joked about the competition on a marketing level but reality is they aren't in it for the competition. It's business. Be the best or don't bother.
Just because there isn't competition doesn't mean the quality degrades.
I mean people have been saying this since the PS5 because they are infront.
But I've seen 0 degrading from them.
Yes they aren't talking about what's next from their first party but that's nothing to do with competition that's due to the studios arent ready.
The output from Sony, hasn't slipped since being at the top.
All what's slipped is the amount they talk and reality is to them. It has T done anything to their sales. It's actually grown sales in their eyes.
The only thing any of this will do is give the outsiders more to talk about or say they are doomed like we have seen throughout the ps5.
And yet PS5 have put out more meaningful exclusive games than any of its competitors.
If Sony had no competitors all first party studios would still be doing what they are doing but with more money to spend because PlayStation will be raking in more money due to everyone having to buy a PlayStation.
All 3rd party games will be bought on PlayStation all apps people use on their home console would all be purchased on PlayStation. I mean add the sales of Xbox to PlayStation.
Actually thinking about it. PlayStation would be in a better stance to risk money for new innovations and genres.
Not because they don't have a choice of what they make but seriously your best effort after 9 years and a continuation of the Markham games.
You gave us bullet sponge points galore looter shooter with what people have said who have completed the game, very basic missions of taking down waves of enemies but with a tacked of rocksteady story.
I've seen the hud and it looks awful.
The game looks good but it really is a out n out live service looter shooter with the skin of the dc characters
Yes the story is ment to be OK but I've heard it misses the point and doesn't go far enough.
It's a hard pass for me and I probably will never pick it up.
Have you seen how quiet it's gone since it's come out aswel. Seems like many enjoyed the game but not enough to come back to it.so I won't bother.
Truthfully though it would had to be some genre defying game for me to be pushed to play a looter shooter.
Love how people are making out like Sony had any choice in this.
MLB made them go multiplatform and put it on games pass.
But Sony is getting paid for it to be on there so I don't know what the issue is.
Game Pass is not profitable for Microsoft. It's that simple it's just there a sort of haha Sony for them but the actualy service is costing them millions without much return.
Just think how much Microsoft is having to pay for it to be on the system.
I don't quite understand the push back on Sony for this.
They don't release their first party day and date. MLB the show and the studio would not exist if Sony took the brunt of the cost and put it on their ps plus.
Plus many games third party go on game pass and the numbers are still high for purchases anyway.
Xbox game pass is really a try before you buy model for most people. They jump in on the cheap for a month try out the game and then buy it if they like it.
Let's pay 100+ for game pass a year for mlb the show or just pay the 70 or cheaper for the game out right. I really don't see a comparison
Rollerdrome I always wanted to give it a go but not enough to purchase as the reviews were great from the people I trust.
Steelrising I do not know about so may aswell give it ago.
Everyone laughed and pushed foamstars to the side but everyone who played it at the preview events all said its actually a solid game. You can't deny its a great move for foamstars giving it away for basically free to millions of players. I'll definitely give it a go.
Unfortunately for Rocksteady, this could be the end.
Not entirely their fault.
I've read all the previews and they keep saying they wanted to make a genre defying game and a unique new take on the arkham verse.
This has been said many times. This is just a lie from the developers to convince themselves because they no what they have made isn't what they wanted for the arkham verse.
It took 9 years to make this.
But this is the truth and reality of what happened.
Rocksteady wanted a break from batman. They fancied making a easy going looter shooter in-between their epic single player games.
They worked on it for a couple of years and was probably ready for a reveal.
WB didn't like that and thought it wouldn't make them enough money so they demanded they make it into a dc game.
With work already done for the easy going looter shooter, they couldn't just scrap it but push a dc story into the game they had already made. To kuch time and money had already gone.
This is why its taken this long for this type of game not because this is the game they wanted for their arkham verse but because they had to figure out a way of shoehorning their main line story into this game.
I whole heartdly believe they had suicide squad as a story concept for the next dc game but I truly believe that this was not ment to be the dc game but a small trial and error game to experiment with live service
Unfortunately the economic climate is real bad all over the world and Unfortunately many teams grew way above what they should of and this is the result once the economy went to ..... I feel bad for the people losing their jobs.
Its funny to think that money began as just a trading system and now it completely governs us to actually live in this world. It'll only end when we are wiped out.
Still baffles me why so many people are pre ordering on a digital game. Its not like pre ordering back in the day to make sure you actually got a copy before they sold out.
The game ain't going anywhere and its not going to sell out and the pre load happens the same time for everyone
Why they still get the exclusive releases is beyond me. But I refuse to use game.
Ever since I pre ordered a ps4 for the second wave at the time and the day I wss ment to pick it up. They went and sold it and I never got that ps4.
Useless company these days.
Luckily we have a cex and we have an actual local game shop still up and running which buy and sell pre owned games. They keep open because they deal with retro gaming alot more than new stuff.
When I hear a legendary developer who created one of thee best epic comic single player trilogy there was at the time, say and promote that support for 100s of builds across 4 characters, I honestly want to cry.
These 4 characters have their own unique skill sets from the comics, it really does nothing other than make me more disappointed in this game.
I game with this much rich history and stories and they've absolutely ruined it with not just the game but promoting "builds".
Its such a sad time.
Loved the studio but I honestly hope this fails.
But fails because of what they've done
I just dont want this game to be a success just because of it being dc comics and Rocksteady. If that makes sense.
Suicide squad will be a great success but for all the wrong reasons and won't last long.
Like all the good feedback regarding the game, is its a good fun looter shooter.
Like I've been saying all along, looter shooter with a dc comics skin over the top of it.
RockSteady has totally forgot what made them have legendary status in the first place.
Just to remind them epic story, tight comic gameplay and an amazing atmosphere and characters, they brought batman to life.
This game is a real kick in the teeth. They so could of made a great single player suicide squad game without standard looter shooter gameplay.
I dont see us getting much on the first party this year, maybe team Asobi with a duel ps5 and psvr2 game.
I'm really hoping for an amazing showcase though.
The thing is though we all know Sony has the games, they are coming so we are literally just moaning that they haven't shown us the goods yet hahaha its not even the fact there isn't the games coming. We all know they are.
@KundaliniRising333 its only over saturated if you went to play all of them. But for me I beat the originals back when they came out and I've been waiting for a great Prince of persia game of old.
It may of been over saturated but at the same time most didn't get 8/10
@ralphdibny its not really the case of it all being rubbish.
But I have my kids saying I want this I want that and the trailer and the short gameplay demo what sometime comes with it seems like a good waste of time even for myself.
Then you download the game and that short demo you just played isn't even in the main game, its a side mission which you may never get to.
I think I remember playing a demo of a pretty good fun shooter.
When I downloaded it, it was a land map with flags on it and I never got to play the shooter. It was totally a different game than what was advertised.
I'm not gonna comment on what I'm wanting out of them its been said throughout the comments.
My thing i can never wrap my head around is....
After the huge success they had with psvr 1. Why even bother bringing out a pavr2 when they have pretty much abandoned it.
I understand there are great games for it but why are the ones who developed it, allows it only to work on ps5 and yet completely dismiss it and bring 1 first party game to the table for it.
Just had a look through some of her pictures and I tell you what, yes she does look more like Ellie in her younger days.
But their are a few pictures which I'd actually say she does look like a abby and I think if she just tones up and gets athletic fit, she will totally pull it off.
She's a great actor, and ive loved her in everything she's done.
@RobN I agree on your points but the fact Playstation thought the best thing they could do was put i on an actual showcase and literally show 0 first party studio games accept a couple of love service games which had 0 gameplay.
Was I dont even think words can describe it, disgraceful maybe?
If they didn't have anything to show then 1 - dont make and have a showcase 2 - all the stuff shown would of done fine mixed in with state of plays.
There literally was no reason apart from get people hyped and then just destroy those people because the content shown was quite frankly rubbish.
If their are no first party games to show then don't show me a showcase.
God of war and horizon literally had a state of play they deserved a showcase in my eyes
@Kiryu-Chan I've played and completed every single one, plus the judgement series.
I tried my best to get on with it and enjoyed the game and thought it was a great step forward from the last games, always adding new mini games and the likes.
But the combat for me on those games are what brought me to the series. I am a huge shenmue fan so it was nice to have a game like this carry on.
I'd of liked it more if they went with a more robust and complex fighting system, not completely abandon it for a turn base system.
Each to their own on this regard of course, but for me I just found it boring but I was never one for turn base. So when the series decided to go that way I gave it a good go but just isn't for me.
All I want is them to let me actually fight though. I may be the minority but I really didn't like the turn base, I just get bored hitting menus for attacks.
If only they made it so we could have both. The animations are there just let me actually fight.
I love yakuza games, ive completed all but when it changed I just found myself bored.
It be nice to have the option turn base or real combat.
But they are called limited run games, its just very fitting that they have finally released a game where they only had a limited timed contract for a game.
I wonder if the contract for longer was to much on this game.
Or
They had seen a decline in sales and there whole limited run physical games and downloads had slowed down the last time so to try and boost sales this time around made it so that, digital and physical sales were on a limited time frame.
I mean what better way to grab a few more sales than a game being delisted.
Whoever buys it, gets to keep downloading it so it doesn't really matter.
But for those who wasn't going to buy it but realise its going to be taken away from them, they may aswel jump in and have a piece of history.
@get2sammyb I'm in the camp of i enjoyed 7 for its world and things to do like the rest of the yakuza games but man I really didn't like the combat, I thought I'd come around to it but you just can't beat the chaos of the fights from the games in my opinion.
Shame I just won't play these games anymore apart from I guess the spin of series which still use the better fighting gameplay for me.
@get2sammyb totally agree with your view with Naughty Dog becoming second or even third or fourth dog now.
I dont know Naughty Dog aren't the same developer anymore. To much time taken up on The Last Of Us in my eyes.
I like Neil Druckmann but I do feel, he is way to caught up in all this last of us universe that he's lost sight of what made Naughty Dog... Naughty Dog.
Honestly can't believe they've wasted so much time and now nothing to show in either space. It may well be PS6 by the time we play a new naughty dog game. I'm just hoping its not part 3
Its the greatest spiderman game I've ever played, they just get better and better. To me Spiderman 2 is exactly what a spiderman should be, a cross between a child game, with some adult themes. Thats exactly what a comic is.
But what comes with that is the game isn't the best, its good. Unfortunately or not spiderman 2 didn't deserve any rewards because we have had far better games in those departments this year.
Thats not a bad thing. Spiderman 2 did what it set out to do and to be the best spiderman game.
@Fiendish-Beaver but thats the point. This is Bethesda, they actually expected to make 1billion from starfield before the buyout. So being bought out and basically going exclusive and being put on GamePass. The best they did was 3m sales.
Seriously even if that number is slightly higher now. Skyrim has sold upwards of 60m copies.
Even morrowind sold 4m back in the day.
Oblivion sold 9.5m
Fallout 3 and 4 sold upwards of 12m.
If you disregard the side games (fallout76) Starfield is the lowest selling bethesda game they have created.
Not that Bethesda had a choice but them becoming an exclusive company has hurt sales.
I'm definitely in the minority but I wasn't that impressed with the graphics to be honest.
I may have to put it side by side with GTA5 but I didn't feel it was a step up.
Off first watch without checking but RDR2 looks more impressive, it look to cartoony and not what I was expecting from a game 10years in the making and with red dead out 5 years ago.
Just me though. Haha I dont know if im hyped or not really. It felt very GTA5. Same sort of sunshine setting. But totally give vice city and San andreas were a double act back in the day and I loved both.
Looking forward to it but I'm not wow'd by the trailer.
@Futureshark I was listening to sacred symbols the other day and they was talking about what would happen to yoyr games library and they was undecided.
But I remember the iTunes situation. Was it not Bruce Willis who tried to put his iTunes library into his will but apple said no its yours and yours alone and once you die thats it?
I'm guessing this situation is the same for games libraries
I'm sure that was the story. I could be wrong.
Me personal would always buy physical. But I have kids and they do not respect anything even though I've tried to drill it in to them.
So I had to make the decision to go digital so my disc do not get damaged and its not unplayable.
Its a shame but they've scratched to many discs to the point of the disc being unplayable, of course not entirely their fault, just more them being children and not thinking.
But unfortunately I've had to sacrifice my obsession with game collection. Sad times.
But come on, back to reality, its a very weak selection for the end of year, Christmas month.
Its a weak selection again considering they have upped the price for ps plus.
Since they upped the price, they've not really given us anything what says yea was worth the increase.
2k Lego drive yea maybe a fun builder and racer game, double A game but the microtransactions ruin it for me.
PowerWash Simulator, I do already have it and its a good relaxing game. It's still a mid tier game.
Sable, not for me but im not gonna judge the game for that.
I voted an absolutely Cr*p Selection on the basis of it being the end of year Christmas Holidays, final free games of the year bundle.
If this was mid season then I'd of probably said an OK month but its not.
So for the last games bundle of the year. After a price hike in the subscription, we are are getting a selection of mid tier games at best, utter cr*p.
Hopefully the announcement for ps plus extra is alot better mid month.
I'm still in a bit of disbelief that they've up the prices and these are the games they've decided to put out at the beginning of the price hike. Normally when someone puts the prices up they give you at least an incentive for the rise.
(Side note i still think extra is a very good deal for anyone who can buy only 1 or 2 games, 500 games for a year for the price of 1 n half games is a great offer).
@Splat I feel your pain 110%, I still play through that game every year. I honestly cannot believe how good of a game and concept it was.
I still can't believe a critical and commercial success of a game, that the studio just crumbled and they never released a sequel. I still cry now over it.
I dont think anyone was ever against the first remaster. It was the price of the remaster what offended everyone.
Still now that first remaster was not worth the price tag.
I dont see any reason why part 2 shouldn't get a update and with the new content which part 1 never got, its worth the second dip. Plus with a 10 upgrade payment is a very good deal and I will support that type of business.
I understand that GTA took over development of agent but it was ment to be an exclusive game for playstation. I'd love to know the ins and outs of how a deal like that even came about. Did Sony ask for an exclusive? Did Rockstar pitch an idea to Sony and wanted them to foot some of its costs with marketing as an idea/concept game.
Is that why Rockstar now basically sides with playstation with marketing because they let them down on a huge game exclusive and its a mutual respect thing.
@Northern_munkey I think your missing the point a little, he was more talking the majority of COD players and not that they are dumb, but many don't read reviews nor care about metric. Many are young kids with parents who every year go out and buy cod. Many adults who only play a few games, play the same games and COD is one of them.
I've spoke to 4 or 5 people the last few weeks, in my taxi, who have gone on about buying the next COD because its modern warfare 3 and then go on to tell me how good the modern warfare series was back then and they are redoing them.
Like they had 0 knowledge of this game being more of a dlc to the last game and have 0 knowledge of the reviews or even cared, all they knew is the new COD is coming out or is out and thats it.
Its funny how majority can now say Rocksteady is a shell of its former self.
When reality is they were riding high off of their Batman trilogy.
I just dont and won't ever understand how they went from the best developer of comic book video games with great story, great cinematic, great gameplay, selling millions and millions of copies.
To literally coping out for a sponge bath looter shooter.
I really wouldn't of minded a story with the suicide squad. Its literally the fact. It's a looter shooter with a suicide squad skin over the top.
I mean when your upgrading your shotguns with points earned, I honestly don't think I've ever been this disappointed in a developer ever before.
I've had games dissappear when they've come out put never on this scale.

Re: Readers Vote Gears of War Above Halo as Their Most Wanted Xbox Series on PlayStation
No one really cares for Xbox exclusives anymore.
Probably the only care is for
Forza and the original trilogies of halo and gears.
I mean the newer halo games are meh and the newer gears games are meh.
I'm intrigued that the list of games over half of them are from franchises which were and have a deep history as a multiplatform game.

@__jamiie that is true but it would mean Microsoft paying Sony for being on their system.
Just the same as mlb the show being on Xbox. You still have to pay an operating fee

Re: Poll: Will You Be Watching the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth State of Play?
@MikeOrator I also was there for launch of the original.
But I wouldn't say its over saturated plus this remake is basically entirely different game, with it only having the story loosely threaded through.
I dont even like final fantasy but ff7 is something else.

Ill be paying the 10 for this. Well worth it just to have in your collection for that price already owning the game.
I played it when it came out and played it again on ps5 in 60fps.
Enjoyed the story but it is a very long winded game.
Honestly if they chopped it in half and got rid of half the walk around filler id of enjoyed it more.
I dont think its as good as the first.
I'm still scratching my head over what exactly is controversial about the game hahaha. I've played it all and still was a good story.

Re: Your The Last of Us 2 Platinum Trophy Will Be Safe After PS4 to PS5 Upgrade
I hate when they do this.
It should be its own platinum for ps5.
Re: Suicide Squad Teases Major Post-Launch Support, 'Hundreds' of Build Combinations
@Jayslow a 60fps and 4k of the original trilogy would of been far better, im in full agreement
Re: Suicide Squad Teases Major Post-Launch Support, 'Hundreds' of Build Combinations
Re: 18 PS5 Predictions for 2024
Suicide squad will be a great success but for all the wrong reasons and won't last long.
Re: Young Mazino Will Play Jesse in HBO's The Last of Us Season 2
@ApostateMage he's 32 years old what are you talking about hahaha how old do you think jesse is in part 2.
He's only mid 20s.
Ellie is 19 at the beginning.
Dina is 20, 22
Abby is 23
So this actor is at least 7 years older than who he's playing
Re: Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown (PS5) - A Slick, Satisfying, and Royally Robust Metroidvania
@KundaliniRising333 its only over saturated if you went to play all of them. But for me I beat the originals back when they came out and I've been waiting for a great Prince of persia game of old.
It may of been over saturated but at the same time most didn't get 8/10
I think I'll be buying this asap
Re: Fake Mobile Game Ads Are the Focus of New PS5 Release
@ralphdibny its not really the case of it all being rubbish.
But I have my kids saying I want this I want that and the trailer and the short gameplay demo what sometime comes with it seems like a good waste of time even for myself.
Then you download the game and that short demo you just played isn't even in the main game, its a side mission which you may never get to.
I think I remember playing a demo of a pretty good fun shooter.
When I downloaded it, it was a land map with flags on it and I never got to play the shooter. It was totally a different game than what was advertised.
Re: Talking Point: What Do You Want from Sony and PlayStation in 2024?
I'm not gonna comment on what I'm wanting out of them its been said throughout the comments.
My thing i can never wrap my head around is....
After the huge success they had with psvr 1.
Why even bother bringing out a pavr2 when they have pretty much abandoned it.
I understand there are great games for it but why are the ones who developed it, allows it only to work on ps5 and yet completely dismiss it and bring 1 first party game to the table for it.
What was the point
Re: Sounds Like Sony's Next State of Play Livestream Isn't Far Away
@RobN I don't think agree with you on that.
We have had many state of plays, with God of war, horizon, indies, 2nd parties, 3rd parties.
All stated and announced as State Of Play.
We've only had a few Playstation Showcases. There is a distinct difference on which they knew.
So looking back we had many a state of play.
But showcases were 2023 and 2021.
2021 gave us
God Of War Ragnarok first look
Gran turismo 7
Uncharted Legacy Of Thieves
Ghost Wire Tokyo
Deathloop
Forespoken
Alan Wake remaster
And reveal of knights of the old Republic
So thats 2 huge games for first party being shown off and many exclusives even if timed. This was called a showcase.
We had state of plays in between aswel.
Even the major websites and youtubers class them as different.
So to say that its a few of us on here referring to them as different is an understatement.
Showcase 2023.
The only first party shown were 2 cgi trailers, q of which was a cheeseburger.
Both live service.
Both no real gameplay or release date.
Helldivers 2 was the main showing.
The reality is that Playstation do class it as a different event otherwise they wouldn't use a different name.
Re: Kaitlyn Dever Will Play Abby in HBO's The Last of Us Season 2
Just had a look through some of her pictures and I tell you what, yes she does look more like Ellie in her younger days.
But their are a few pictures which I'd actually say she does look like a abby and I think if she just tones up and gets athletic fit, she will totally pull it off.
She's a great actor, and ive loved her in everything she's done.
She's got this.
Re: Sounds Like Sony's Next State of Play Livestream Isn't Far Away
@RobN I agree on your points but the fact Playstation thought the best thing they could do was put i on an actual showcase and literally show 0 first party studio games accept a couple of love service games which had 0 gameplay.
Was I dont even think words can describe it, disgraceful maybe?
If they didn't have anything to show then
1 - dont make and have a showcase
2 - all the stuff shown would of done fine mixed in with state of plays.
There literally was no reason apart from get people hyped and then just destroy those people because the content shown was quite frankly rubbish.
If their are no first party games to show then don't show me a showcase.
God of war and horizon literally had a state of play they deserved a showcase in my eyes
Re: Preview: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth Is the First PS5 Must-Play of 2024
@Kiryu-Chan I've played and completed every single one, plus the judgement series.
Re: Konami PS5 Remakes Silent Hill 2 and Snake Eater Scheduled for 2024, Says Sony
@Americansamurai1 o just dont get concord.
How can they have a release window tell us and still no of the woser what it is.
I just dont think they are confident with live service anymore
Re: Preview: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth Is the First PS5 Must-Play of 2024
All I want is them to let me actually fight though.
Rant over. Sounds good, shame I won't play it
Re: Push Square Readers' 20 Most Anticipated PS5 Games of 2024
Love it when sonys only real exclusives which have been shown off apart from wolverine is FairGame and Concord.
These 2 are no where to be seen and Concord is ment to be out soonish from what they said hahaha.
Live long live service....... or not hahaha
Re: Bill & Ted's Excellent Retro Collection Will Be Removed from PS5, PS4 Very Soon
@TheMightyImp2 yes I'm joking.
Well sort of.
Re: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth on PS5, PS4 Is Pokémon As Well Now
@get2sammyb I'm in the camp of i enjoyed 7 for its world and things to do like the rest of the yakuza games but man I really didn't like the combat, I thought I'd come around to it but you just can't beat the chaos of the fights from the games in my opinion.
Shame I just won't play these games anymore apart from I guess the spin of series which still use the better fighting gameplay for me.
Re: Bill & Ted's Excellent Retro Collection Will Be Removed from PS5, PS4 Very Soon
The fact the name.of the company is limited run games.
I mean its in the name. Limited.
They've released you've got a certain time to buy and then its gone.
At least they told us the truth
Re: Naughty Dog Has 'More Than One' Ambitious PS5 Single Player Game on the Way
@get2sammyb totally agree with your view with Naughty Dog becoming second or even third or fourth dog now.
Re: Game of the Year: John's Top 5 PS5, PS4 Games of 2023
I'll be playing Yakuza Gaiden.
But unfortunately I fall into the camp of not really liking the way like a dragon has gone with the turn base.
I literally get these games for the crazy fast pace combat and unfortunately they took that away from me.
So the only games I'll be playing will be the spin off games with the normal combat from now on
Re: Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Fans Miffed After Apparent Snubbing at The Game Awards
Re: Fallout TV Trailer Reveals Vault 33, The Ghoul, Brotherhood of Steel
@Fiendish-Beaver but thats the point.
If you disregard the side games (fallout76)
Starfield is the lowest selling bethesda game they have created.
Not that Bethesda had a choice but them becoming an exclusive company has hurt sales.
Re: GTA 6 Dev Laments Unfortunate Trailer Leak: 'This F***ing Sucks'
RockStar is slipping with these leaks though.
RockStar literally were the kings of secrecy and nothing ever leaked and now this. They need to tighten it up over there.
It is a shame that a world event like this trailer ends up not happening, all together. That is the moment RockStar are famous for.
But the trailer. I really wasn't that impressed. It was OK. It felt very GTA5, for me. Same sort of setting, graphics didn't wow me.
I honestly think RDR2 looked so much better than this. That game still wows me to this day.
I'm looking forward to the game but that trailer didn't really go omg I need this. It really wasn't above and beyond GTA5 or RDR2, in my eyes.
Re: GTA 6 Trailer Out Now, 2025 Release Window Revealed
@premko1 this is rockstar. This ain't no CDPR.
Their first major hit of a game for the mainstream was Witcher 3. They really didn't deserve the hype they got for 1 good game.
Rockstar haven't really ever made a bad game or a sloppy one.
Re: GTA 6 Trailer Out Now, 2025 Release Window Revealed
Re: Fallout TV Trailer Reveals Vault 33, The Ghoul, Brotherhood of Steel
@LifeGirl I really don't see it now. If Starfield only managed to sell 3m or there abouts with sells from xbox, pc.
I really don't see Xbox holding it off playstation.
Business is business they want money, I see them changing there attitude because xbox is failing, putting those games on all platforms will help xbox.
Re: PlayStation Users Set to Lose Hundreds of TV Shows They Paid For
@Futureshark I was listening to sacred symbols the other day and they was talking about what would happen to yoyr games library and they was undecided.
Sad times.
Re: PlayStation Users Set to Lose Hundreds of TV Shows They Paid For
@Futureshark I dont believe that is the point though.
The point of the matter is. This just shows what the future holds for the digital space.
Nothing you buy, is ever yours. We are leading into the rentable future.
With physical, even you only ever watch it once or play once, you always have that choice to replay it no matter how long its been.
Digital future, you'll just never know whether it will be available in a few years.
We've already lost quite a few games and series and movies to this.
Re: GTA 6 Leaks Allegedly Go Viral on Social Media Days Prior to Full Reveal
@Rob_230 I'm in very much agreement with you.
RockStar maybe untouchable in everyone's eyes because of what they've done.
But people are forgetting that pretty much every original member, including the Stella writers who made GTA and RDR what they are have now gone.
I really hope that the people who have taken over are as passionate and as detailed as they were.
I really don't want a GTA 5.1.
I truly hope it exceeds the details and freedom of RDR2 that really set the bar for the interactivity you could have in the world.
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Essential Games for December 2023?
I'm glad some people are happy.
Re: GTA 6 Trailer Debuts on Tuesday, 5th December
@Splat I feel your pain 110%, I still play through that game every year. I honestly cannot believe how good of a game and concept it was.
I still can't believe a critical and commercial success of a game, that the studio just crumbled and they never released a sequel. I still cry now over it.
Re: The Last of Us 2 PS5 Remaster's Anxiety-Inducing Lost Levels Revealed
I dont think anyone was ever against the first remaster. It was the price of the remaster what offended everyone.
Still now that first remaster was not worth the price tag.
I dont see any reason why part 2 shouldn't get a update and with the new content which part 1 never got, its worth the second dip.
Plus with a 10 upgrade payment is a very good deal and I will support that type of business.
Re: Former Rockstar Dev Sheds Light on Fate of Lost PS3 Exclusive Agent
I understand that GTA took over development of agent but it was ment to be an exclusive game for playstation. I'd love to know the ins and outs of how a deal like that even came about.
Did Sony ask for an exclusive?
Did Rockstar pitch an idea to Sony and wanted them to foot some of its costs with marketing as an idea/concept game.
Is that why Rockstar now basically sides with playstation with marketing because they let them down on a huge game exclusive and its a mutual respect thing.
So many questions.
Re: Despite Crap Reviews, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Boasts of Engagement Records
Re: Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Is Getting a Closed Alpha Test Very Soon
