@get2sammyb I really do hope that is the case. Spiderman 2 is a great example of using the same map but extending it and allowing a brand new story to evolve in the world.
GTA 5 on the other hand for myself is the opposite of what to do with a game world after San Andrea's and GTA4.
They technically just made the map bigger but they took away so much, huge map of just eye candy. Instead of making the map more dense and open. The Original San Andrea's had more to do in it's world than GTA5 does in single player. GTA4 had 100 times more things to do in it's world. They really went with visual quality than interacting quantity.
Honestly it was a good nostalgia game when it came out and we all know full well it will release in a volume 2. But I'm not bothered.
I'd rather wait and see regarding these re makes and hopefully it's top notch and they go on to remake the entire series, then I'll replay them.
I'm really not that bothered about playing old games. They just don't do it for me.
I've tried with premium and games I have very fond memories with, I try play them now and I'm like why, they just aren't as good now as they were when they launched.
I'm more of a forward looking gamer and a appreciator of the old games.
Wait what a funny take on guardians of the galaxy, epic adventure across the universe?
Nope, wait that's just filler, for a 5v5 hero arena shooter with 16 playable characters in which makes the cgi cut scenes they worked so hard on filler to move onto the next match.
They told.us when this live service push was happening that it would push things into new areas.
Helldivers 2 sort of did that with it's 3rd person shoot bugs with your mates and progress the war. Simple yet addictive fun.
Concord, very generic to similar to games already out there for free and reality is PlayStation fans aren't here for such games.
We already have them from 3rd party developers. Nothing new in concord.
@Drago201 it's definitely a question for a true Harry Potter fan. I played a few and they were OK.
But nothing really beats the newest entry.
It's been fully realised here and reality is, if they ever did a second then, I'd 100% keep the same map, add more of the secret areas within hogwarts. Extend the world.
And really they just need to make the game more interactive and better ai.
Make it truly feel like the world is being lived in while playing
So are you saying the visuals are better than the small snippets of gameplay we have seen? And the animations have changed?
Because the last trailer I saw, the environments looked good but snake looked like he was taken straight out of the original game with a glossy paint put on him with his blocky animation?
Sorry people but the Sony handheld just didn't sell and Playstation have an absolute shocking track record of supporting its on ventures even if they are a success. So what is the point.
The reason the ps portal is selling is due to having a library of games already on your ps5 and its a half decent way to play if you cant be on your ps5.
I.e if your visiting family and cant take your ps5 or its in the living room and someone is watching the telly and you can just chill in bed and progress your game.
A playstation dedicated handheld just isn't it.
Just look at the vita and the psvr2 both came off successful hardware and still wasn't supported by playstation.
Playstation motto is if it aint their main platform it doesn't matter
The combat parts I've seen, did not impress me at all, I cant put my finger on it but the best I can describe what I saw was a mid tier fps from the ps3 era.
It was very bog standard, the animations of the whip and gunplay just looked and felt out dated.
Its such a shame, because the cut scenes and the third person sections looked incredible.
It looks like 2 games mashed together.
Almost to the point of wishing this game was a third person action adventure game so the animations could be their for the gun play and the whip. Bring it into next gen animation wise and actually rival a game like uncharted.
As it stands now even with the Indiana Jones name, uncharted felt more indy than this.
The marketing of the game is what failed this game.
The first trailer was a cheeseburger?
The 2nd trailer we got was a pretty solid and interesting cgi trailer about a group of misfits, stealing loot and escaping.
Setting up what one would presume was a goofy but solid adventure game.
What we got was a 5v5 hero shooter, with some how 16 playable characters, no one knows with tact on cgi clips to push a story each week, which don't really fit, the gameplay.
If they had promoted it as a new type of hero shooter and took time to develop the actual reason you some how end up fighting each other in a 5v5 then maybe it stood a chance.
But they promoted it as a great adventure with a group of misfits.
Unfortunately I just never understand these deals.
Ps5 is outselling xbox by nearly 10 to 1 now. Ps4 dominated Xbox.
Those are just facts.
So in what universe does the execs and marketing team over on the side of the game think, I know, let's promote our game on a dying console and platform, where even if the game sells a few copies, it's nowhere near what the sales will be on PlayStation.
I understand them taking the money but surely any one in business knows you promote to your biggest audience.
Making a deal like this where you shy away from your biggest audience, isn't going to do much to your sales. This type of game isn't a system seller. So it doesn't even make much sense for Microsoft either.
The gameplay maybe good, the Polish and presentation maybe good.
But it's still a 5v5 hero shooter and not that original at that.
My problem with the game is, this emphasis on oooooo a cut scene a week to progress the story, but your still fighting each other in an arena each time.
And it's a full price game.
I may aswel go and watch a movie, with breaks of overwatch 2.
Helldivers 2 works because everyone is on the same side and your progressing a war and winning or losing together. It's a joint and a united effort. Which anyone really can just jump in as a generic solider and your skills as a player is what matters more against Ai.
You feel more invested because of this and thus making it a legit reason for players to carry on.
I feel like concord is a bog standard 5v5 hero shooter, where your fighting each other in matches, like you do in overwatch and the rest of them, which do it for free.
What you do within the match doesn't determine anything other than leveling or unlocking perks for characters.
Each week there is a cgi episode which will come either way if your losing or winning.
So the story progresses whatever happens, which makes me feel like you have 0 input within the story and your basically just playing matches until the next cutscene hits.
I understand story driven games do this also but the in-between playable parts are the parts in which make you feel like your the one on control, even if it's just an illusion and it's those parts which make or break games for many.
We can compliment the gameplay and presentation all we want but if the immersion isn't there and it's a mix match of cgi trailers and 5v5 matches and nothing more than. It really isn't going to set the world alight or many people bother with it.
People didn't bother when it was free and now they don't going out paying 70 for it.
Sh*t up Phil. Always talking out of your backside. Hahaha
The gaming landscape isn't changing.
Xbox is dying and xbox are trying to change the landscape before microsoft just cancels thr xbox division. The xbox brand has been on deaths door for a long time. Reasons:
Xbox One
Already putting your games day and date onto PC, giving less people a reason to buy an xbox console.
Putting all your resources into a gaming subscription service and then releasing your games day and date on it, completely nullifying xbox game sales.
Using all your money on teams, but not just any individual teams, which xbox had a true history with and games which were made in partnership with and became a staple. No they just went out and bought the whole publisher, putting staple franchises from third party under the xbox banner.
Being completely incompetent in seeing any creative vision and instead holding on to franchises which began life all the way back on the original Xbox.
Halo Gears Forza Fable
Even to the point when budgie gave up on halo because they had finished the story.
You instead grabbed a new very talented, very promising team and instead of giving them creative freedom to make what they wanted, you shoved them onto making halo for the rest of their lives.
And spent year and years talking and talking and talking with absolutely no physical evidence to back up your words.
Until this year's showcase Xbox truly had no first party games to brag about.
This year they do, yet 99% are being made by the teams who were already making triple A games for all consoles.
The Xbox division has gotten that bad, that Microsoft has stepped in before Phil blows all the money and start releasing all the games onto the PS5, to try and claw back the money Phil and the other one has wasted over the years.
There were a couple which I liked. But the rest were generic fps games.
An indy game which xbox but for ps5 and yet it maybe just me but the 3rd person sections looked so much better than the firdt person parts.
I really believe games of this nature just look and work better in 3rd person over the shoulder, esp for Indiana.
And then maybe Kingdom come deliverance 2 but we already knew about that.
Then last was the amazon prime show looked amazing, it was better than any game at the show.
Edit; just one more thing, Mafia old country that peaks my interest, ive enjoyed the mafi games and it maybe a great turning point to actually set it in the home of where the mafia started.
I've been contemplating getting cult of the lamb since it came out, I just have a very tight non existent budget these days.
So I kept holding off for sales, but they never really went to a number I felt comfortable with, for a game I may not enjoy playing myself and may just like the idea of.
So I'm very happy that I get to give it ago and play through.
You know premium, I signed up because the upgrade price was just ridiculous low for over half a year when u got it.
I'll admit though, I tried and failed to understand the nostalgia aspect of playing old games, esp the early 3d games.
I mean I have fond memories of playing most of the games on offer but honestly, the graphics the controls, I just don't get it.
I'd rather have them as memories of more innocent times and how ground breaking they may of been at the time.
I've just decided I'm not a person who can play the games again and appreciate them when 3d graphics and modern controls have come so far.
The only games I'll play from back then are 2d games, or tycoon games, which seem to hold there own to the passage of time.
Just take syphon filter, everyone bangs on about how good it was and would love a modern take and I myself used have hours of fun going through those games as a teenager.
But going back and playing, I'm like is this it. Hahaha
But you already hit the nail on the head when you wrote all that.
It's an indie developer. It's enough said.
I expect that some bits are going to be amazing and some bits are going to be not that great.
Facial animations are hard and when you have a limited budget and maybe not the expertise within that field then that's the part what's going to suffer.
Or the voice acting, triple A developers literally have writing teams to make sure there games are on point and even they fail half the time.
Let alone an indie studio writing it and then paying what they can afford for some voice actors.
That's literally the answer to the whole article. And you wrote it in the first 2 sentences.
I tell you what it shows me, there is some serious talent within but are lacking talent in other areas.
@awp69 but it definitely feels like a mobile game.
I had seen so many people rave about the game and so I bought it on mobile and honestly, I think I played a out 5mins and thought, yea not sure what the fuss was about it.
@NEStalgia I agree completely with all your points.
Like you said it makes no sense on Sonys side to have those features already within the headset at that price point and not have them unlocked for pc users.
Yes point in question that no game uses it nor does any other headset, but then why not have it their, then developers have the option to design a game with those features in it.
My only guess is the tech they have inside is top secret and do not want it on PC for fear of it being used by others? Maybe.
Or like you said they don't really want it to take off anymore so they'll let it die slowly like they did with the vita.
Sony loves making amazing secondary hardware and just letting it die. It's their thing hahaha
@naruball your naming games of which didn't have a story and put all it's merits on its gameplay and creativity,
Minecraft, it was unique at the time and the survival and crafting of the game was something many hadn't seen before.
Fall Guys a fun party game with a unique twist, that's the selling point, plus popularity came more from it being given away free on ps plus.
Rocket League, another great gameplay element and sport in its own right, cheap on PC when it came put and became free on ps plus.
Is the untitled goose game in thr same league as these? I got it free on ps plus, had a quick go wasn't for Me, but that is a single player game is it not?
Concord is a 5v5 hero shooter, we have a ton of those already out and already established. I wouldn't say it has any unique gameplay and with a story then if you ain't apart of it at the beginning then try ain't really being apart of it.
All the games you mentioned. I could pick up and play right now, after all those years and learn without having to know any story.
@ProfessorNiggle very true free to play would of pushed it a little but then comes the micro transactions and if the game isn't addictive and doesn't gather attention then that also would fail.
I mean the free open beta had very poor numbers so even when it was free, most didn't care.
I'll give it a chance. I loved silent Hill 2 so may aswel why not.
People criticise this team and mention there other games but they always but it down to the ending or the final third.
The games they have made. The first half was exactly what you'd want from a silent hill game, they are good at that they just don't seem to have the experience to close it out properly.
But truth be told how many games are out there just like that.
Even movies half fail in the final 3rd.
At least they have some originals working with them and silent Hill 2 already has the story in place so they can't truly get that wrong so the only thing they can get wrong is the atmosphere and pacing.
But they've been pretty good with that in their other games.
To be quite honest I'm still in absolute shock and baffled that we probably got the 3 greatest batman games ever developed.
Where when everyone was speculated and dreaming, everyone all said the same thing, in Rocksteady we trust whatever is next will be amazing.
Then is happened, they ditched the entire fundamentals of what rocksteady do great and made a repetitive uninteresting game with a focus on bog standard gun play and hit points.
It's that bad that both co creators left the company before the game came out that speaks volumes. Still can't believe what I actually witnessed,
3 Epic games, Rocksteady after 3 games became the most reliable and trust worthy studio to deliver and then they make that.
You can't even write it.
It's worse than CDPR at least they only really became trusted after witcher 3 and they made a single player game which they've added to and made the game what they set out in the end.
There is no thinking a live service fortnite with a dc character skin over the top.
@BeerIsAwesome yes definitely wouldn't work in real life.
I'm trying to learn and hope that, I can open a water park exclusively with no rides within the game and be profitable and that it doesn't need to be a hybrid theme park with a tact on water park.
Think disney world typhoon lagoon or blizzard beech.
Or take Siam Park for example the actual size of that place is the size of a theme park with 2 wave pools.
I hope there is a wave pool that's a huge part of many water parks.
It's actually quite simple.with Sony and PlayStation about the push.
PlayStation are tone deaf, they always push projects which no one really cares about.
5v5 hero shooter with a story. It just doesn't make sense, same arena shooter each time with different background against one another and then there is a cutscene, which will.complwtely take you out of the actual game itself.
I just don't see how a 5v5 where any team could win, have a meaningful and story driven back story which could impact or make sense when you could have the same 5 characters facing off against each other.
Or am I missing something?
I get and understand cut scenes in a single player/co op games where you have a cut scene you drop in to controlthe characters to continue the story to an end goal
It makes you feel apart of the story and a way to make you feel your on this journey with them and even if it's an illusion to make you feel like your impacting the story by playing the characters.
I even understand online live service games, like HellDivers 2 where it's a core story, you are basically a generic solider within the army core and your fighting with fellow fighters to kill the bugs and save the planet and defend planets or rescue people, it makes sense to have a story.
What I don't quite get is how a 5v5 hero shooter can have you face off against each other in an arena call.of duty style inclosed map, win or lose, but afterwards there will be a cut scene progressing a story element which will probably feel disjointed to the gameplay your involved in and the reasoning to why your fighting yourself?
The actual cgi trailer shown may of been a corny take on a guardians of the galaxy rip off, but the premise and atmosphere felt like it would be an absolute blast to play through as a third person action adventure within this world with this diverse cast of character being chased around the galaxy.
Yet somehow all that cheese and creativity of the story has to fit around a 5v5 death match?
It just doesn't make sense or something I care for and I don't even think anyone who plays the game who enjoys the gameplay will care for the story either, it's not that type of game.
I honestly couldn't read the article when you just used a ea made hype word and mixed it with a game like this.
Say what you want about nba 2ks micro transactions but no one can take away how realistic and probably the standard to aim for in a sports game, 2k has done and is no where near anything like the silly buzz words ea uses each year for there gimmick.
This is just a step in the direction everyone else should be aiming for.
I still can't believe we have sports games not hitting realism when we have open world games nearly hitting it.
NBA 2K is the king of graphics for sports games, no one comes close.
@BeerIsAwesome I know there is a couple where they have a water area, with a few little slides which is within a theme park. Cant remember the name but I remember 1 I went to and it had a pool area but no slides.
Not saying its not a fantastic idea to do it, its a great evolution of the theme park genre.
But just like disney world, they have 2 or 3 independent parks which are water parks, or tenerife which has siam park.
I hope its implemented in a way I could just make a water park and it can stand on its own as a seperate identity and be profitable hopefully that makes sense.
And to what you wrote before, yes I believe consoles had a hard limit but that hard limit if with animals would be greatly reduced or performance would suffer. But the have done a great job with porting the game to consoles so I have faith.
@BeerIsAwesome not only technical but also taxing on hardware.
People forget but this has to run on pc and ps5, its a balancing act, esp once the park becomes bigger the amount of memory these types of games has to use is unbelievable.
Take cities skylines 2, most pcs can't even handle a realistic population number due to bad optimization and balancing of the games engine working in the back ground.
So to have customers who interact and have thoughts about rollercoasters, rides, waterslides, in and out of pools and then add animals or sealife into all of that, I bet that's an absolute headache to optimise, maybe they do add that in a dlc but who know.
On topic though, what theme park in the world has a theme park and water park mixed into one?
And can I make just a water park and not a theme park.
My question is forget bungie, but how the hell did concord and fairgame get green lit and the push, when quite clearly concord is a pretty big standard 5v5 hero shooter with cut scenes which won't matter anyway because all your doing is battling 5 other people anyway.
Fairgame which looks like a 5v5 hero shooter capture the flag game.
These generic entries are both coming and yet last of us online or factions 2, of which factions was an absolute blast to play online all they had to do is expand it and people would flock, yet cancelled it due to bungie saying some parts wouldn't work (rumour, was never fact)
I mean destiny 1 was pretty medicore and destiny 2 great shooter but lost its way and it does OK but it ain't fornite. They truly aren't the kings of live service.
I said this from the very beginning, the psvr2 was always to expensive in a tanked economy.
I'd of loved to have one but with work drying up and essential items becoming double the price, then it became something what was desired but could never get.
Bur it just shows hiw high the price was that as soon as the price comes down it's selling.
Maybe this could be the turn around for it getting more games, maybe not first party, PlayStation hasn't got the resources but more third party devs may bring their games over.
I'll get one in the end just for the experience of vr. We will see
How can you have a poll and one of them is operated when it's only pushsquare saying it's the best hahaha Your in the minority.
Its ok, but it is 2 blue dots and a bit of blue on the side. It's nice and goes well with astro bot, but you couldn't really go wrong. Esp when astro bit is basically part of the console within its games. Haha
I think honestly out of all spiderman 2's controller is the best of the bunch, more because they've actually thought about it and made the entire controller a part of the design rather than just a picture.
I like the array of different colours but I'm not a fan of just changing the background colour and then throwing a picture on the front
All the rest even though nice stickers, aren't anything great. People like the god of war one but I thought same as normal just shove an image on the front and change the colour a little, not the most creative. They could of done so much more with all of them
Astro though for astro it's perfect. But it is simple and the game itself made it an easy transformation
Not being funny but I played top spin 2k and honestly I actually hated the gameplay.
Nothing captures the feel and natural gameplay of the old top spin on 360 and nothing comes close to the virtua tennis on the dreamcast.
Virtua tennis 1 and 2 (dreamcast verisons) are probably thee greatest 2 tennis games which captured the realism what people wanted and fluidness of the arcade.
Top spin 2k has just over complicated what makes tennis great and big ant are just getting to big for there boots and producing medicore official sporting games.
outrageous, free dlc and someone moaning hahaha it's brilliant.
You know this comes from the gamers coming up now from the tablets, where the attention span is tiny and they switch games every few minutes.
And glad he's got help now, but having more people involved I think he has every right to charge for dlcs, he has more reason to than say EA, Ubisoft and the rest.
But maybe his game won't ever get dlc, he'll probably make his next game.
So because you have to wait for the 1 man band to make dlc and updates that he shouldn't charge because of the waiting?
Cant believe someone would write well aslong as any updates and dlc are free I'll keep playing basically.
Makes me sick, these types of creators (literally just himself) are probably the only ones who truly deserve the money for dlc.
Rich or not off this game, he dedicated all of his free time creating this master piece of a game without any real help at all, im pretty sure he did it all by himself.
There only a few out there with this much talent and guts to do it and they deserve all the money they are given.
History just shows that games like this just dont last or work.
From what I've seen and read the game works when everyone works together. Which unless compelling enough never works and dies a slow painful death.
Helldivers worked because you are basically a run of the mill infantry solider and your just set out to kill, simple and fun.
This game, way to many characters to get a grip with, clear favourites will emerge and then the game will die, because no one will be bothered to keep up or they can just play overwatch for free.
Its that simple. They are trying to tell a single player story with breaks of 5v5 hero shooter.
I know the poll.here isn't a solid indication but even here its a pretty big no, its not even close.
@AverageGamer thats still in the works but its a long time off that game.
On topic.
Its a pass from me, the new movie was OK but for myself the art style is just so off.
Either stick with the actual comics or stick with the 90s cartoon which depict the characters perfectly.
Unfortunately for many iconic cartoons they all seemed to peak in the 80s 90s.
TMNT 90s Spiderman 90s X men 90s Batman 90s
TMNT specifically, they've always been so off that nothing has come close to the original cartoon and non of them have ever touched on the actual source material. Such a shame.
But this game looks awful, it looks like yester years when we would get the tie in movie games C grade.
I mean even now the original love action movies are far better and believable than what we get now.
Bring on the the last ronin game and hopefully we get a game which this franchise deserves.
When the cut scenes looked ten times better and more interesting than the gameplay itself I'm gonna pass.
Give me a single player third person action adventure game of which PlayStation is known for set in that world. With the humour and you probably would of got a stellar game.
But a 5 v 5 hero shooter with cut scenes, I'm out.
@Intr1n5ic exactly my thoughts, you've hit the nail on the head.
These games are just miles better on pc plus you can change all of the keys to suit your own play style which I have done with most of the games you've mentioned.
Its the reason why I have a pc. I did spend 4 grand on mine but that was over 6 years ago now.
You could build a decent pc for 1k I think. I'd do some research, you should be able to get a ps5 level pc these days for that, maybe a little lower but for these games it's well worth it and enough.
@Kidfunkadelic83 I'm in agreement, many may of liked the turn in gameplay but for me the whole attraction to the game was the bad ass fighting and the underground tournaments.
I tried playing the new ones but the fighting for myself was so dull and boring. I can't ever play one again.

Re: Players Complain of Lengthy PS5 Matchmaking Times As Concord Numbers Dwindle
There is one positive thing to come out of all of this.
ConCord maybe the first paid live service game in which the servers held up and there was no problems connecting to a server.
Maybe not getting a match outside peak times but no server crashes hahaha
Re: Talking Point: Can PS5, PC Shooter Concord Be Saved?
The game just wasn't marketed correctly at all.
A 5v5 hero shooter
Teaser trailer? What could it be?
A cheeseburger in space.
Oooo new trailer? What can it be?
Wait what a funny take on guardians of the galaxy, epic adventure across the universe?
Nope, wait that's just filler, for a 5v5 hero arena shooter with 16 playable characters in which makes the cgi cut scenes they worked so hard on filler to move onto the next match.

But they promoted it as a great adventure with a group of misfits.
Re: Atlus Really Doesn't Want You to Know Metaphor: ReFantazio Is Coming to PS5
So strange.
Re: Concord (PS5) - Live Service Debut Beats the Hate with Stellar Presentation and Good Gameplay
Re: Clamp Down on Football Hooligans in Soccer Tycoon Title Copa City on PS5
I'm definitely intrigued with this unique take.
That is also my worry, that the loop of the gameplay will be the same, each time.
But I'm gonna give it ago. It's getting quite a big push, really.
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Concord?
Sorry but if your going to be a hero shooter and your having to pay for it then, it has to be above and beyond what you can get for free.
Unfortunately it offers nothing, better than what games are already out there and are thriving.
Also you have to look at the free to play beta they put out and see the numbers to know that this game was dead on arrival.
Looking at the player count now, it'll be truly dead in a month.
Re: Xbox on Bringing Exclusives to PS5: The Industry Is Changing for All of Us
Sh*t up Phil.
Halo
Gears
Forza
Fable
Re: Round Up: What Was Announced During Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024?
Re: Poll: What Did You Think of Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024?
It was hmmmmmm.....
OK at times and absolutely boring the next.
I mean why spend what felt like 2 hours showing off call of duty? We know what it is. The campaign didn't look any different than the rest.
Then came the other shooters all looking the same.
Nothing really blew me away.
Peter molyneoux back to his old tricks again promising the world and giving us a pinch of reality.
Xbox is officially dead though launching indy on ps5.
I mean it looks OK, but truly do I want a first person indy? The third person parts looked 10x better than the first person.
Honestly can't even remember the rest. Haahaha
Quite liked the look of that amazon prime series though, the rest I've actually already forgotten about.
Re: Preview: Silent Hill 2 PS5 Grows in the Right Ways for Anticipated Remake
Cannot wait. I've been waiting since it was revealed. Everyone was questioning the team.
Yet people have such short memory that there games were amazing up until the final third. Which always let them down.
So give then a game which already has an ending and a game and let them go to town, of course they were going to master it.
They have the blue print.
I can't wait and I hope they have the section in the game where your in the creepy school with ghost children.
Had nightmares as a kid. Hahaha
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for August 2024?
Hahaha
Re: Poll: Are You Hyped for Gamescom 2024?
I'm excited because two point museum will have a deep dive and a playable demo.
I'm sad I won't go.
But how can you not be excited, it's really only one of the few big events the public can go to within Europe.
Re: Never Has a Game Looked So Good Yet So Jank as PS5's Neo Berlin 2087
Re: The Smash Hit Vampire Survivors Finally Comes to PS5, PS4 Later This Month
@awp69 but it definitely feels like a mobile game.
I had seen so many people rave about the game and so I bought it on mobile and honestly, I think I played a out 5mins and thought, yea not sure what the fuss was about it.
Re: Half-Life: Alyx Conveniently Discounted Ahead of PSVR2's PC Adapter Launch
Re: Concord's Animated Freegunner Adventures Continue as PS5, PC Launch Draws Closer
Re: Concord's Animated Freegunner Adventures Continue as PS5, PC Launch Draws Closer
@ProfessorNiggle very true free to play would of pushed it a little but then comes the micro transactions and if the game isn't addictive and doesn't gather attention then that also would fail.
I mean the free open beta had very poor numbers so even when it was free, most didn't care.
Re: Silent Hill 2 Remake Dev Asks Fans to Give It 'a Chance'
Re: Suicide Squad the Villain Behind Warner Bros Gaming Revenue Drop
Re: Half-Life: Alyx Conveniently Discounted Ahead of PSVR2's PC Adapter Launch
@NEStalgia buy I wonder though whether those features aren't available is due to the fact that the games on PC haven't been made for it.
I wonder if it catches on that the developers may go back into the games and update them for those settings?
Surely with those features it would make the psvr2 a more desired headset for PC? And rival the others
Re: First Planet Coaster 2 Gameplay Deep Dives into PS5 Water Parks
@BeerIsAwesome yes definitely wouldn't work in real life.
I'm trying to learn and hope that, I can open a water park exclusively with no rides within the game and be profitable and that it doesn't need to be a hybrid theme park with a tact on water park.
Think disney world typhoon lagoon or blizzard beech.
Or take Siam Park for example the actual size of that place is the size of a theme park with 2 wave pools.
I hope there is a wave pool that's a huge part of many water parks.
Re: Concord's Animated Freegunner Adventures Continue as PS5, PC Launch Draws Closer
Re: Half-Life: Alyx Conveniently Discounted Ahead of PSVR2's PC Adapter Launch
Has this been debunked.....
The adapter maybe coming out, but it actually takes away the features which make psvr2 the best vr headset out to date for the price?
I thought the main features like hdr, haptic feedback, headset feedback and eye tracking are all obsolete on pc.
Is it even worth it?
Re: NBA 2K25 Takes Real-Life Basketball Footage and Makes It PS5 Gameplay
I honestly couldn't read the article when you just used a ea made hype word and mixed it with a game like this.
Say what you want about nba 2ks micro transactions but no one can take away how realistic and probably the standard to aim for in a sports game, 2k has done and is no where near anything like the silly buzz words ea uses each year for there gimmick.
This is just a step in the direction everyone else should be aiming for.
I still can't believe we have sports games not hitting realism when we have open world games nearly hitting it.
NBA 2K is the king of graphics for sports games, no one comes close.
Re: First Planet Coaster 2 Gameplay Deep Dives into PS5 Water Parks
Re: First Planet Coaster 2 Gameplay Deep Dives into PS5 Water Parks
Re: Reaction: Sony's Billion Dollar Bungie Buyout Is Looking More and More Like a Blunder
Re: PS Plus Essential Games for August 2024 Announced
Could quite possibly be thee worst month and normally I'm here defending it.
Not only are these games cheap but if skywalker is the headliner, o my o my o my.
It was probably the biggest bore fest I ever sat through. Cant comment on the others but non of them peak my interest and they may others.
Really poor month.
Re: PSVR2 Sales Explode After Sony's Deep Price Cut, Up More than 2000%
I said this from the very beginning, the psvr2 was always to expensive in a tanked economy.
We will see
Re: Poll: Is the Astro Bot PS5 Controller the Best DualSense Yet?
Re: Tiebreak Aims to Topple TopSpin 2K25 with a Huge Licensed Roster on PS5, PS4
Re: New PS5 Firmware Beta Begins This Week, with 'Adaptive' Controller Charging, Custom 3D Audio, More
@Yousef- that's completely incorrect.
There is only the new ps5 model sku.
The disc drive is an attachment, you can buy a bundle with the disc drive but it's the same console.
The original ps5 is now not being made and it is just 1 console sku with attachments.
Re: Stardew Valley Creator Swears on Barone Family Name Never to Charge for DLC, Updates
@themightyant @PuppetMaster
outrageous, free dlc and someone moaning hahaha it's brilliant.
Re: Stardew Valley Creator Swears on Barone Family Name Never to Charge for DLC, Updates
I'm more concerned about the post before.
Is this the new norm of privileged gamers??
So because you have to wait for the 1 man band to make dlc and updates that he shouldn't charge because of the waiting?
Cant believe someone would write well aslong as any updates and dlc are free I'll keep playing basically.
Makes me sick, these types of creators (literally just himself) are probably the only ones who truly deserve the money for dlc.
Rich or not off this game, he dedicated all of his free time creating this master piece of a game without any real help at all, im pretty sure he did it all by himself.
There only a few out there with this much talent and guts to do it and they deserve all the money they are given.
Re: Poll: Are You Playing the Concord Open Beta?
Re: Amazon Prime Day 2024 - Best Deals on PS5 and PS4 Games, Controllers, SSDs, 4K TVs, and More
Love the fact I go and check the TV deals and some how the first tv deal.is for the last of us season 1 4k blu ray. Hahaha
Re: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed Kickflips onto PS5, PS4 in October
TMNT 90s
Spiderman 90s
X men 90s
Batman 90s
TMNT specifically, they've always been so off that nothing has come close to the original cartoon and non of them have ever touched on the actual source material. Such a shame.
But this game looks awful, it looks like yester years when we would get the tie in movie games C grade.
I mean even now the original love action movies are far better and believable than what we get now.
Bring on the the last ronin game and hopefully we get a game which this franchise deserves.
Re: Concord Beta: How to Access, Start Times, and What You Can Play
When the cut scenes looked ten times better and more interesting than the gameplay itself I'm gonna pass.
Give me a single player third person action adventure game of which PlayStation is known for set in that world. With the humour and you probably would of got a stellar game.
But a 5 v 5 hero shooter with cut scenes, I'm out.
Re: Suicide Squad Season 2 Frozen Days From Launch, Defrosting 25th July
Are people even still playing?
I'm still scratching my head over this game.
End goal.is just an endless shooter?
Live service offering are secondary characters with 0 real story
Re: Parkitect: Deluxe Edition Brings More RCT-Like Action to PS5, PS4
@Intr1n5ic exactly my thoughts, you've hit the nail on the head.
These games are just miles better on pc plus you can change all of the keys to suit your own play style which I have done with most of the games you've mentioned.
Its the reason why I have a pc. I did spend 4 grand on mine but that was over 6 years ago now.
You could build a decent pc for 1k I think. I'd do some research, you should be able to get a ps5 level pc these days for that, maybe a little lower but for these games it's well worth it and enough.
Re: Next Like a Dragon Title a Surprise for Fans, RGG Studio Teases
@Kidfunkadelic83 it felt really satisfying and I felt like it went well with the slower mini games and story
Yes the boss fights were chaos and its just my turn your turn, your turn. I nearly fell asleep
Re: Next Like a Dragon Title a Surprise for Fans, RGG Studio Teases
@Kidfunkadelic83 I'm in agreement, many may of liked the turn in gameplay but for me the whole attraction to the game was the bad ass fighting and the underground tournaments.
I tried playing the new ones but the fighting for myself was so dull and boring. I can't ever play one again.
