Who in here is part of the 2% 3% who put excellent and very good hahaha what was you watching reruns of the greatest hits of E3 because you definitely didn't watch the same show I watched
So your reporting rumours which anyone could of predicted?
The big mistake this developer and Sony are making is the marketing is so bland and generic. Non of the trailers shown have given me a reason as to why this hero 5v5 shooter is any different to all the rest.
One would think they would know that it has to stand out and be different and this should be shown off from the get go.
Yet we have had a cgi burger and a cgi story beat both in my eyes great cgi and then some how at the end of the great graphically looking trailers we get shown a downgraded very generic looking 5v5 game with no outstanding feature.
It's like no one asked them the big question what makes yours stand out.
Because no one cares if a new story beat comes each week if reality is it's not really influenced by ourselves it's just another cgi trailer for the next 5v5 match.
If one was to watch the trailer without context, I'd say it makes for a great single player game fps/third person game.
@ShadowofSparta most of the games on it are very kiddy and easy and gives you options to buy things within it.
But dig a little deeper and you'll find actual in depth games, which honestly if they was released as a normal game and maybe not the whole rolblox graphics they'd be very well received.
Mainly tycoon management games.
But examples
A resturant tycoon, free build a restaurant, hire chefs, waitors. Sort your menu, basic and complex dishes which require extra equipment, also with a drive thru element, its actually quite in depth.
Prison tycoon, design and build your own prison freely buy more land, a basic but entertaining arrest criminals for your prison.
Working cctv, hire guards, level up so you can have bigger cars to arrest more prisoners, level up for criminals to be brought to you buy bus, your prison can become huge, you can allow family visitation, people can become hurt and need a infirmary, its quite in depth once you get into it.
Shopping mall tycoon same concept, of having to go get your goods and then you work up to employing drivers and a lorry to get your goods, a manager who auto orders your stock, finance reps who give out loans, employees, free build.
I mean honestly I'm truly not one for roblox, most games are pretty wait for money to go up press a button, but as I mentioned there are some actual in depth games within it.
I'd say this game is what dreams should of been.
Honestly I hope who ever was behind this game end up making a more adult better graphics version and give us the dreams we all wanted because they know what their doing with this genre.
End of the day people can say what they want about this game but it literally gives anyone a chance to make a game and make money off of it.
Nope didn't even know it was this week until end of last week.
Then he says dont get hyped 9 out of 10 its stuff you already know about.
Unfortunately gone are the days where we would get excited for E3 game news and reveals happen all year round now and to be honest, its nerfed hype completely.
Doesn't help that playstation have already said their games ain't ready until next march onwards and the best playstation could muster was a 5v5 hero shooter and the life saver astrobot.
I'd be annoyed if playstationed held back a reveal bigger than their own presentation for this. But I dont see it happening.
If you ain't been living under a rock, then everybody should know that digital games are not yours. They are basically until you either delete your account, forget your password, move on from gaming or die rentals.
The whole point of digital for companies are so that everyone has to buy a copy to play.
They aren't your games never will be never have been, just a licence so you can play them.
Why would anyone think it will change just because that person dies.
Physical items are the only possessions you can hand down. Anything digital is gone with you.
Hmmmmm I'm pretty sure this is what he said last year.
The big surprise ended up being cancelled hahahaha.
But reality check aren't these events ment to be big reveals otherwise what's the point when we already know the existing games and they'll be put out wither way.
Does ubisoft not think at this point they may aswel male.a new Prince of persia game.
Its only a remake.
Its like was skull and bones even worth it?
Let alone a remake of a game which was good but not that amazing its going to smash everything in its path. Prince of persia wasn't even that big of a series in the firdt place.
The system we have now is just awesome that they can update on the fly, back in the day a game breaking bug would ship with games and that was that.
But at some.point the tides turned and the system out in place for this type of thing was abused by publishers to get the game out to hit a certain deadline and it became the norm and not the minority.
I guess the saving grace to that is, games can come out in early access for half the price so smaller developers can patch and make a game with community feedback. Yang and yang really.
@PsBoxSwitchOwner I'm in agreement that the media and comment sections fan the flames.
But can you blame them in a sense?
We are into the second half of the consoles life cycle and non of the first party big guns apart from a minor couple have actually released a fresh game.
I've probably forgotten a couple of just PS5 only games.
Then we have only had
God Of War Ragnarok ps4 and ps5 Horizon Forbidden West ps4 and ps5
Both games cross platform releases.
The rest of been remasters of games what didn't really need a remaster
The last of us part 1, the remaster yea its good but what a waste of resources being done by naughty dog themselves.
The last of us part 2, what the actual? They already did a patch for ps5, this did not need a re release or a tact on roguelike.
Then factions 2 cancelled what an absolute waste.
Bend no where to be scene but that's normal.
Sucker Punch, Ghost great game epic game, but we seen or heard nothing of whats next and the last game was a ps4 game.
Blue point? Released a launch game, haven't heard nothing since.
Firesprite??? Last game they made was back in 2018, its now half way through 2024.
What about fairgames? Cgi trailer last year and then nothing.
And probably loads I cant think of.
Yes games take longer to make and yes giving false hope to early and disappointing people.
But fans and myself want something to get hyped about.
2024 all we are getting is
a 5v5 hero shooter Concord which they spent alot of time on and didn't even explain why I should care or why its better than the rest.
Astro the shining star, im hyped for it but its still just 1 game in a year. Without knowing anything.
Until Dawn? Really? It doesn't look any different or better than the Original. May aswel just gave out a patch.
We know the games are coming but its like they've gone completely media blackout themselves than giving us small teases.
I think people are just getting a little frustrated with being half way through and we havent moved on from ps4 and we still waiting for the big hitters.
@The_Wailing_Doom question is do we need another hero shooter clone? Plus they didn't really give me anything that makes it stand apart from the others, they have to sell it to me in a sea of a million other similar games.
"Sony spent a lot of time building up hero shooter Concord during its recent State of Play, and it did a decent enough job." Did it?
What i saw was a rich world and a great story from the cgi trailer of which I'd love to play.
What I got was a generic overwatch fps which didn't give me any hype.
Sorry but Sony are great at third person, they just are. That first part was exactly what I'd want great story telling, some jokes and then let's play those getaway scenes third person and let me enjoy the story.
Instead it seems its going to be a arena shooter with some tact on cgi cut scenes
Concord...... I mean great cgi trailer but then the gameplay was nothing at all to be excited about seemed pretty bland, seriously why didn't they make a single player game with that level of details in the trailer, that would of been more appealing.
Hell divers 2 made sense your just a soldier in the fight with everyone else.
This is a team base fps so now its gonna be a qhos the best to play as and everyone will play them? I think I'm just disappointed gameplay to the trailer.
Everything else wss ok, dont really need a until dawn remake, silent Hill 2 remake, im still not convinced.
Astro Bot bow that game looks amazing, I ain't one for platformers but dear god they have seemed to take playroom and turn it up to 100 and thats exactly what was needed. Looks like we finally have a new mascot and gameplay wise rivals Mario.
Yea I'm not bothering getting hyped or predicting because at this point you'd of thought we would of seen all of what first party are bringing considering more than 50% of the studios havent released a single game for the new hardware and we are half way through the generation.
Naughty dog apart from remasters have been no where,
Sucker Punch no where,
Bend no where,
blue point came out strong with its launch title but 0 clues from them since really.
FireSprite are ment to be working on a horror game, but still.just nothing.
Concord ment to come out this year but we've literally had a cgi burger teaser.
Fairgames yea enough said.
There's literally been 1 consistent developer and thats insomniac
Plus we got word that nothing major is even coming out until March 2025. Meaning half the top studios won't of released a game until the end of the ps5 life cycle.
I've been in a bit of a tycoon addiction phase on my pc for a while and didn't have the urge to pick up my ps5, I gave fc 24 ago and realised it was just more fifa still the same so went back to playing Manor Lords on pc.
But then I was watching YouTube and a video popped up about death stranding 2 and I watched the trailers and got hyped.
So decided to truly give death stranding a try, it never grabbed me how ever hard I tried when it came out, id even bought the limited edition console at the time.
So mid week I sat down put the ps5 version on and knuckled down and got passed the boring start and low and behold im actually enjoying and quite gripped by the game so im playing that.
Just reminded me that sometimes games no matter how good they are, it can come down to the right time and the right place in your life for that particular game.
@Fiendish-Beaver you are completely right and the whole dynamic has changed now that Microsoft are becoming a third party publisher they've basically said as much just not as direct as that.
But I was more talking about what they was and wasn't going to do at the time all these things were announced alot had changed since then.
@PloverNutter actually your very much mistaken. Starfield was never announced for playstation ever.
This came out through the court hearings of the FTC in regards to buy out of Activision.
Documents suggested it was a multiplatform game but of course it was a multi platform game at some point, development started before Microsoft bought them.
Bethesda was a Multiplatform company.
Microsoft bought them and they said very clearly that it would be a case by case whether or not it would be multiplatform or exclusive.
Which is what I said. Every new game from the Bethesda brand apart from those of which had a contract with playstation before hand.
Came out exclusively. Redfall Hi-Fi Rush Starfield
All titles are new ips.
Nothing has been released under Microsoft which was a staple multiplatform franchise as of yet.
Doom will be the first to see if they keep those game multi or convert to exclusive.
Nothing was mentioned when they bought Ninja Theory towards exclusivity, we didn't know whether they would be doing a hellblade 2 or new ip at the time.
The mistake which Microsoft always makes is they think buying studios with success is the answer. Its like them trying to cut corners. I mean they took tomb raider when that game had always been a multiplatform game.
Then they took hellblade a game designed for playstation before hand and was exclusive bought them and thought o a sequel would do well on our system when the original was a ps exclusive. Same mentality they had with tomb raider i guess.
I dont see them making that mistake again with a popular and well known franchise.
@SirSephy well naughty dog has said they are done with uncharted. And rumours were floating around a few year back that someone was making an uncharted game.
Then we got that advert and that game has not been revealed or isn't part of a franchise we knew of. So it was either just a mock up for the advert, a new franchise or it is in deed daughter of drake.
To be fair to Microsoft they never said they would not release bethesda games as exclusives. They have always said that it be a case by case basis. And this would be the first game released from a already established franchise.
Every other game released have been new ip.
So maybe I have my doubts on them keeping it as their own but got to think they ain't got that many playing on xbox so they would be foolish to not release a game like doom on every platform. Money is the aim of the game.
@Th3solution I wouldn't say the dualsense was a novelty? I'm still in the mind set that the game is still the greatest use of the controller we have had to date. Everything felt great. Just walking through the sand felt like it within your hands, the rocket ship was a great idea, the swinging monkey. .I mean give me a full game of all those elements tightened up and enhanced in all over it.
Make it a couch co op so me and my kids can play together and its the perfect game.
I do agree the nostalgia parts did make it that little bit sweeter but I mean the gameplay is what kept me playing.
@Don_Corleone well I take it that in the US its 49.99 but is that the price before tax? I know you lot have to deal with prices not being exact and having to add it on for yourselves. I've been to the US, once and remember having to double check prices because of this but I'm not sure on how it works these days.
Yes the order 1886, a master piece in graphics, it was the first game in which you couldn't tell when a cutacene ended and gameplay began, it was the beginning of the end to cgi cuts cutscenes.
It wasn't a bad game either and I'd of liked a sequel to it but was never ment to be because of the outcry of fans angry at the short length of the game and hardly any gameplay, they called it a tech demo.
To me both hellblade and hellblade 2 are basically tech demoes in the same regard to the order 1886.
But on the howlongtobeat website.
The order 1886 on average took 7 hours to beat.
Hellblade was 7 hours 30mins.
Hellblade 2 is 6 to 7 hours.
But of course its not about length, its about the price of entry for that length of a game. As you said there are many amazing games at lower prices with a lot more content. It be funny to see if the game actually sells or not. Esp with the game pass involved quick sign up to game pass for a discount you could get it played and cancel your sub.
Never been to Washington dc, did the old florida Disney world holiday. But always wanted to do a off the beaten track road trip through America.
I live in a small town up north in England. Blackpool Famous for its tourist attractions and Blackpool Tower. Its gets a bad reputation but millions flock here every year so can't be that bad hahaha
@SirSephy you do realise that it is highly rumoured that a uncharted drakes daughter game is in the works at some unknown studio?
Off the fact that playstation themselves a year or so ago, came out with a live action advert in which many games were revealed.
Every single game reveal in that advert could be identified and has come to release apart from 1.
In which a young woman is within a ancient tomb looking for artifacts. Its strongly suggested that this is indeed cassie drake as it would make sense to the ending of uncharted 4.
Its the only part of that advert which hasn't been seen to of come out or been linked to any known game.
@Don_Corleone just checked the price. This is an actual joke.
We actually moaned that the last of us part 1 on ps5 for full price was just wrong. A game which can take 15 to 20 hours to complete.
A game like God of war ragnarok, spiderman 2.
Baldurs gate 3.
Then this 5 hour game is trying to charge 50 pound.
Now does game length matter? Well normally that a subjective debate when games are around 10 to 15 hours compared to baldurs gate or fallout type games.
But a 5 to 6 hour look at me pretty graphics game but not much less than a triple gameis an actual insult.
I appreciate the graphics and the tech i really do but im not paying for a 5 hour experience.
Must be a slow time for news when we're predicting when the thing will be announced and not when its going to happen hahahahaha. Is this really the world we want to live in.
Announce it this morning have it go out tonight.
Who cares, no ones taking the day off for it. If they in they'll watch if not, catch it later.
Have playstation been doing one just before summer game fest? Yes.
Do they normally do it a few days before? Yes
So is the probability high that they will absolutely.
@UltimateOtaku91 @Don_Corleone so your telling me a game which has been basically in development since 2017. Was showcased at the launch of a console has come out. Nearing the half way point of a consoles life cycle, and is only 5 to 6 hours long, most of which is a mostly cinematic interactive movie, sprinkled in gameplay and some combat of which is focused more on the cinematic than the actual battle.
And we have a playstation website covering this game?
Seriously?
We didn't even have this much coverage for starfield.
Looking at reviews. The only good thing is the graphics really and story. Gameplay seems to be second.
I'm not yearning for this game to come to playstation.
Is this another xbox one launch game scenario?
Cant remember what that game was called but it was amazing graphics but non existent gameplay.
The first game wasn't to bad but come on bigger budget under Microsoft a long development cycle and a 5 hour game is what they made.
They had playstation state of play, a smaller more personal focus on q few games or a genre or indies or a deep dive.
Then they had the Playstation Showcase.
Where they would show off the new console or the latest game reveals. The showcase became their e3 presentation and they were dropping bombs and firing on all cylinders before they decided just to go complete black out.
Then weirdly they started throwing a few reveals big reveals at that within state of plays.
Then we have a complete black out of any first party studio. Even though its been a good few years since some have made a game and they even advertise the presentation as a showcase and the future of playstation and its brands and partners.
So truly at this point anyone looking in would presume that this means that second party and first party games would be on full force with plenty of wow moments.
What we got was 2 first party reveals of which were both live service games and both just CGI trailers.
And we got alot of third party games.
So a showcase for playstation where playstation didn't even really show up.
This was not a showcase it was a run of the mill state of play and wasn't even wort the hype.
Thats what I just dont understand some people.
It was an alright showing for third party not bad for a generic games presentation.
But when you have 2 distinct presentations of which the company themselves had cemented as such and they go and put that out with the actual wording going into it the future of playstation and got literally 0 info for any playstation games. Then this better had give us the goods. Even if half the games aren't coming till 2025 2026 its time to show the games.
Wait? So this game is finally releasing, after so many years and all they've shown is a couple of trailers which didn't even show any gameplay or anything whats new from the first. Just here is some very shiny new graphics.
With the prospect that it may come to ps5 one day.
Yes the first game was a bit different compared to other games and touched on mental health.
But it was just a walking simulator with a few enemies which wasn't really a skill based and some puzzles. Great small experience.
Not bashing the game but to have sequel and not actually promote it. Does Xbox know what they are doing?
Edit; went to check reviews but nothing yet but its being reported the game is only 7 to 8 hours long, just like the first so has all these years just been graphics graphics graphics.
Its being reported 8 hours for 100% completion.
I'm not sure what people expect from extra. There just games being added.
Its the same when its the ps essential games.
I'm never quite sure what people expect.
Because if its anything you really like, you've more than likely bought it anyway.
So everything released it poor and if you already have it then its also a poor month.
Qlot of games are going to be out onto these services if they failed to give everyone a go and see if its a game for them.
For extra its a good selection of different genres.
Stranded alien dawn is an absolute blast if your into survival, base building, resource management and Tower defence. Its a unqiue twist well worth peoples time if they like those types of games.
The rest are good in there own right.
The big let down and it is every single month and I dont get this whole premium service of adding games like extra.
Its ment to be a premium offering, the reality is premium should just have all the games released instead of the way they are doing it and release the actual classics and not all this shovel ware.
Premium should just be a collection of the greatest games of the past.
Extra is the rotating door of different games.
No Sony first party games should ever come off. Just like amazon or netflix always have there originals on the site.
Premium should of been fully stocked and ready to go at release and yet here we are waiting to see what gem or rubbish old games they can throw together.
PC gamers and I'm including myself here are a total different breed than console gamers.
Majority don't play the triple a action adventure games. Mostly because we get bad ports but a PC has so many other genres which are better suited to PC.
City builders, rts, mmo's, simulators. Not to mention the huge audience for fps with mouse and keyboard.
For me personally all third person action adventure games are played on my ps5, with a select few sports games and my PC is for all my tycoon, builder and management games.
So reality is apart from the out the blue successes which are live service or multilayer games, I don't see Sony pushing the needle on PC with games like god of war or ghost.
It's just a nice bump of sales and it gives nixxies an endless surplus of games for them to port and make their money.
@GymratAmarillo thats what's baffling about the hype around this game.
Madden has been stale for awhile according to the reviews every year so why would a football game made by EA be anything different apart from the rosters and teams.
According to EA website EA Orlando made Madden 23 and pga golf game.
@RBRTMNZ totally get where your coming from. I've always had that i like the idea of it but when it came to it get bored easily.
Quite enjoyed watching others play it to be quite honest, not all the way but seeing the spots what are off the beaten track which I never got to.
I have alot of respect for the game because of so much detail there is outside the main story.
But its definitely very slow paced and fast travel is an upgrade,
But like you said your paying for the service, why not. You may find it clicks for you, if not you ain't lost anything and least you can say you gave it ago.
@Kidfunkadelic83 totally agree, the film was epic and such a great tone for the first scene, they really could of made a serious and true story just on the actual games lore and yet we had to get a cheesy and quite biazzare below average story.
I think out everything whats come out, that has got to be the worst of the adaptations.
This and Uncharted.
Both ok but wasn't even worth investing.
Problem is they both made great money so who am I to say hahaha.
@RBRTMNZ Honestly you probably won't like it but I'd give it ago just to say you have played one of the greatest games ever made and I'd even rate it higher than GTA it's just GTA is guns and cars so it's definitely just more popular for that reason.
I enjoyed red dead 2 alot, I loved it at first for it's slow pace western gameplay and enjoyed trying to play in a way that felt like I was a true cowboy. But a bit like you after awhile I found the pace to be quite boring but I did enjoy the story and the main quest. The game though truly is one for the explorers and lots of stuff happening off the beaten track.
I found GTA 5, ok it ain't the master piece people say it is and beside the main story there isn't much to discover apart from eye candy mysteries rather than interactive ones.
But honestly just give it a go for a bit and see if it clicks.
On topic though Stranded alien dawn is a great unique take on a survival tower defense game. I'm still playing it now on PC so that's a great addition the others have already been on or if you wanted to play then you already have.
But if your into Base building and resource gathering while trying to maintain your 4 characters mental health then alien dawn is a great game.
For me it was just slow and boring and the graphics for me felt more like a late ps3 to ps4 game.
Didn't enjoy the card aspect, I understand games have to have a mechanic for the use of special abilities, but I always feel like your just holding me back from what that super hero offers if I can only use things sparingly. But I do respect what they tried to do and totally get why people liked it. Just card mechanics aren't for me
Was the same with avengers, the avengers were only the avengers once you grindfor hours on end to reach max level. Its painful. And you had to do that for each character I mean that was the least of that games problems but sometbings just dont work.
@Uncharted2007 I've actually enjoyed every new tv series they have put put up to now.
The Last Of Us was very well done and it captured the interests of non gamers, like I never thought it would.
FallOut ended up being good and quite funny with a serious undertone.
And for me the standout was actually Twisted Metal, omg that show was awesome l, it was hilarious, well written and made sense to go with the game, I actually can't wait for more of it. Had a decent story but it was good old fashioned dumb fun, which it should of been. They nailed it.
The only let down for me really was Uncharted, it was an OK movie, but uncharted was such a rich and thought out world and story that, it should of been treated as such and kept to the games story rather than mash all 3 together. But the movie itself happened before the huge switch up in how video game adaptations were going to be handled.
I'm looking forward to tomb raider if Crystal dynamics are consulting on the TV series.
I'm actually looking forward to both God of War and Horizon.
Life sim games are really pc centric and at this moment there are 3 rival sim killers on the horizon.
Life By You - literally being headed by Mr Sims himself Rod Humble.
ParaLives, a more cartoon art style sims game.
Enjoy- developed by people in South Korea, now if this game actually does what it says it will and keeps the look its showing off. This game will be the one to kill them all. The graphics of this game and what's been shown off, are absolutely surreal.
PC gaming for me is my addiction to tycoon style games and city builders and some RTS games.
I find it tedious to play on a console these types of games to the point that if any come ooto ps extra and I haven't played them. But enjoy the console version.
I'll hop on steam and buy it.
Any third person action games and exclusives will always be on PlayStation.
It's to hard to stay up to date with the. New GPUs and components. I spent near 4grand on a PC build when the 1080 card came out and it's serving me well but I can definitely see the difference in graphics on ps5 to my PC.
But then it's like do I spend 1k for the newest graphics card and be bottlenecked by my other hardware.
People love to call PC gaming the master race but your only the master race if you can afford to keep up or be left behind.
Xbox division has been failing since the xbox one. Just one actually looks at it and just thinks its fine. Microsoft has been footing the bill since the beginning.
This isnt surprising. They are useless as the embracer group. Thinking money solves everything and it doesn't.
Creative minds and games create money.
Not just buying up whole companies for the same price as what the profits may suggest. Buying the entire zenimax brand and not just bethesda.
Buying Activision for basically candy crush and call of duty. Both on the decline or at least call of duty.
Yes it would of been a good buy if they didn't throw absolute billions at them

Re: Poll: Was Summer Game Fest 2024 Great or a Letdown?
@3Above wait power ranger pic and you didn't mention the awesome power rangers game which saved the show.
Shame on you
Re: Poll: Was Summer Game Fest 2024 Great or a Letdown?
Who in here is part of the 2% 3% who put excellent and very good hahaha what was you watching reruns of the greatest hits of E3 because you definitely didn't watch the same show I watched
Re: Rumour: LEGO Horizon Adventures Is a PS5, PC Game from Day One, Reveal at Summer Game Fest Tomorrow
But surely instead of the garabage state of play show we got with only 2 PlayStation games, then why save a game like this for someone else's show?
The world has gone mad
Re: Concord PS5, PC Will Reportedly Require a PSN Account to Play
Re: Free Cristiano Ronaldo Backed Football Game UFL Kicks Off PS5 Test This Week
Sorry unless your going for ultra realism or pin point controls there is no competition for the fc games.
Love or hate the game but it is a solid football game and no one has come close to it ever since pro evo got destroyed.
Re: Anticipated Horror Game Slitterhead Debuts First Gameplay at SGF
And hmmm people wonder why there is no hype for these events anymore.
Half the things are revealed before hand and its not even leaks.
Re: Random: Ikea's Going to Pay Players for Serving Swedish Meatballs in Its Roblox Store on PS5, PS4
Re: Poll: Are You Hyped for Summer Game Fest 2024?
Nope didn't even know it was this week until end of last week.
Then he says dont get hyped 9 out of 10 its stuff you already know about.
Unfortunately gone are the days where we would get excited for E3 game news and reveals happen all year round now and to be honest, its nerfed hype completely.
Doesn't help that playstation have already said their games ain't ready until next march onwards and the best playstation could muster was a 5v5 hero shooter and the life saver astrobot.
I'd be annoyed if playstationed held back a reveal bigger than their own presentation for this. But I dont see it happening.
I do miss E3
Re: Random: What Happens to Your Digital PSN Library When You Die?
How is this even news?
If you ain't been living under a rock, then everybody should know that digital games are not yours. They are basically until you either delete your account, forget your password, move on from gaming or die rentals.
The whole point of digital for companies are so that everyone has to buy a copy to play.
They aren't your games never will be never have been, just a licence so you can play them.
Why would anyone think it will change just because that person dies.
Physical items are the only possessions you can hand down. Anything digital is gone with you.
Re: Don't Expect GTA 6, Judas, Beyond Good and Evil 2, or Josef Fares at Summer Game Fest
Hmmmmm I'm pretty sure this is what he said last year.
The big surprise ended up being cancelled hahahaha.
But reality check aren't these events ment to be big reveals otherwise what's the point when we already know the existing games and they'll be put out wither way.
Re: Ubisoft Calls in Second Studio for Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake
Does ubisoft not think at this point they may aswel male.a new Prince of persia game.
Its only a remake.
Its like was skull and bones even worth it?
Let alone a remake of a game which was good but not that amazing its going to smash everything in its path. Prince of persia wasn't even that big of a series in the firdt place.
Re: Little Nightmares 3 Delayed into 2025, Quality a 'Top Priority'
@Pusher2021 @Malaise totally agree.
Re: Latest State of Play Is One of the Worst-Received PS5 Shows Yet
@PsBoxSwitchOwner I'm in agreement that the media and comment sections fan the flames.
But can you blame them in a sense?
We are into the second half of the consoles life cycle and non of the first party big guns apart from a minor couple have actually released a fresh game.
Demon Souls
Returnal
Rachet
Spiderman 2
Horizon dlc
I've probably forgotten a couple of just PS5 only games.
Then we have only had
God Of War Ragnarok ps4 and ps5
Horizon Forbidden West ps4 and ps5
Re: Round Up: What Was Announced During Sony's State of Play Livestream for May 2024?
@The_Wailing_Doom question is do we need another hero shooter clone? Plus they didn't really give me anything that makes it stand apart from the others, they have to sell it to me in a sea of a million other similar games.
Re: PS5, PC Fans Are Trying to Figure Out if Concord Is Free-to-Play
"Sony spent a lot of time building up hero shooter Concord during its recent State of Play, and it did a decent enough job." Did it?
What i saw was a rich world and a great story from the cgi trailer of which I'd love to play.
What I got was a generic overwatch fps which didn't give me any hype.
Sorry but Sony are great at third person, they just are. That first part was exactly what I'd want great story telling, some jokes and then let's play those getaway scenes third person and let me enjoy the story.
Instead it seems its going to be a arena shooter with some tact on cgi cut scenes
Re: Round Up: What Was Announced During Sony's State of Play Livestream for May 2024?
Re: Don't Worry, Sony's Most Recognisable Studios Are Still Focused on Single Player PS5 Games
I wouldn't put blue point as a partner studio. They were bought to remake classics and they are making a new ip.
If thats the case santa monic would be in that list, they've helped many a studio.
Re: Talking Point: State of Play May 2024 Predictions - What's Next for PS5?
Re: Rumour: God of War Ragnarok's PC Announcement Is Imminent
Hmmmmmm still waiting for the..... you know showcase? State of play?
Bur yep we moved on to letting us know that a game what's already out of PlayStation is going to PC which we already knew.
Just give us the showcase. We are nearly out of may. These rumours are becoming more like end of the world predictions haha
Re: PS Plus Essential Games for June 2024 Announced
Normally I come on here defending the line up but I think this could be the worst month ever.
Street of rage is the saving grace but a 5/10 wrestling game and sponge bob. I cant defend either this month.
Re: Frostpunk 2 Forecasts Post-Apocalyptic Survival Strategy and Cutthroat Politics
Absolutely loved the first game.
But they've changed the way ot works completely in 2 and unfortunately it's not hit me the same way so I'll be giving this game a miss.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 530
Re: Rumour: New DOOM Game Reveal at Xbox Showcase, Coming to PS5
@Fiendish-Beaver you are completely right and the whole dynamic has changed now that Microsoft are becoming a third party publisher they've basically said as much just not as direct as that.
But I was more talking about what they was and wasn't going to do at the time all these things were announced alot had changed since then.
Re: Rumour: New DOOM Game Reveal at Xbox Showcase, Coming to PS5
Redfall
Hi-Fi Rush
Starfield
Re: AI Helps Push Forward 'Boundaries of Storytelling', Says Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann
Re: Rumour: New DOOM Game Reveal at Xbox Showcase, Coming to PS5
To be fair to Microsoft they never said they would not release bethesda games as exclusives. They have always said that it be a case by case basis. And this would be the first game released from a already established franchise.
Every other game released have been new ip.
So maybe I have my doubts on them keeping it as their own but got to think they ain't got that many playing on xbox so they would be foolish to not release a game like doom on every platform. Money is the aim of the game.
Re: Rumour: Full Astro Bot PS5 Game to Be Announced Very Soon
@Th3solution I wouldn't say the dualsense was a novelty? I'm still in the mind set that the game is still the greatest use of the controller we have had to date. Everything felt great. Just walking through the sand felt like it within your hands, the rocket ship was a great idea, the swinging monkey.
.I mean give me a full game of all those elements tightened up and enhanced in all over it.
Make it a couch co op so me and my kids can play together and its the perfect game.
I do agree the nostalgia parts did make it that little bit sweeter but I mean the gameplay is what kept me playing.
Re: Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 Dev Ninja Theory's Next Game Has Reportedly Been Greenlit
Re: AI Helps Push Forward 'Boundaries of Storytelling', Says Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann
Re: Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 Dev Ninja Theory's Next Game Has Reportedly Been Greenlit
Re: Poll: Will the Rumoured PlayStation Showcase Be Announced Soon?
Must be a slow time for news when we're predicting when the thing will be announced and not when its going to happen hahahahaha. Is this really the world we want to live in.
Announce it this morning have it go out tonight.
Who cares, no ones taking the day off for it. If they in they'll watch if not, catch it later.
Have playstation been doing one just before summer game fest? Yes.
Do they normally do it a few days before? Yes
So is the probability high that they will absolutely.
Re: Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 Dev Ninja Theory's Next Game Has Reportedly Been Greenlit
I'm good thanks
Re: Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 Dev Ninja Theory's Next Game Has Reportedly Been Greenlit
@Don_Corleone @Don_Corleone are you both actually joking?
Re: Feature: Revisiting PlayStation Showcase 2023, an Event Sony Must Improve Upon
Sony set themselves up.
They had designed a system for there shows.
Re: Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 Dev Ninja Theory's Next Game Has Reportedly Been Greenlit
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for May 2024?
Re: Ghost of Tsushima on PC Attracts 57K Player Peak on Launch Day
PC gamers and I'm including myself here are a total different breed than console gamers.
If it isn't the core team porting it.
Re: EA Sports College Football 25 Kicks Off on 19th July for PS5
@GymratAmarillo thats what's baffling about the hype around this game.
Madden has been stale for awhile according to the reviews every year so why would a football game made by EA be anything different apart from the rosters and teams.
According to EA website EA Orlando made Madden 23 and pga golf game.
Is there any hope its a fresh take. Haha
Re: 13 New Games Joining PS Plus Extra, Premium Next Week
@RBRTMNZ totally get where your coming from.
I've always had that i like the idea of it but when it came to it get bored easily.
Quite enjoyed watching others play it to be quite honest, not all the way but seeing the spots what are off the beaten track which I never got to.
I have alot of respect for the game because of so much detail there is outside the main story.
But its definitely very slow paced and fast travel is an upgrade,
But like you said your paying for the service, why not. You may find it clicks for you, if not you ain't lost anything and least you can say you gave it ago.
Re: Knock Out PS5 Boxing Sim Undisputed Will Rule the Ring from 11th October
@Max_the_German I've not played been waiting because as it stands its not great.
Graphics are amazing at times but alot of animations just aren't there.
Knockouts are pretty rubbish.
Career mode is shallow.
Feels like your fighting with pillows on your hands and ai boxers are taking punches like sponges instead of any Real impact.
Games still in early access and the online seems like its not worth it.
Lots more but thats the main negatives from the reviews on steam.
Looks great has potential but isn't a full game and many missing animations and slow.
Some.are saying the game was better when it first released.
Its no fight night but the potential is there but hasn't been reached it seems
Re: EA Sports College Football 25 Kicks Off on 19th July for PS5
So it's Madden with a college football Skin over the top?
Re: Mortal Kombat 2 Movie Sequel Punches Up October 2025 Release Date
@Kidfunkadelic83 totally agree, the film was epic and such a great tone for the first scene, they really could of made a serious and true story just on the actual games lore and yet we had to get a cheesy and quite biazzare below average story.
I think out everything whats come out, that has got to be the worst of the adaptations.
This and Uncharted.
Both ok but wasn't even worth investing.
Problem is they both made great money so who am I to say hahaha.
Re: 13 New Games Joining PS Plus Extra, Premium Next Week
@RBRTMNZ
Honestly you probably won't like it but I'd give it ago just to say you have played one of the greatest games ever made and I'd even rate it higher than GTA it's just GTA is guns and cars so it's definitely just more popular for that reason.
On topic though
Stranded alien dawn is a great unique take on a survival tower defense game. I'm still playing it now on PC so that's a great addition the others have already been on or if you wanted to play then you already have.
But if your into Base building and resource gathering while trying to maintain your 4 characters mental health then alien dawn is a great game.
Re: Strategy Legend Jake Solomon Explains Where Marvel's Midnight Suns Went Wrong
Re: Live-Action Tomb Raider Series Officially Ordered by Amazon Prime Video
Re: Former XCOM, Midnight Suns Devs Form New Studio to Take on The Sims
Hmmm really is this news for a console website?
Life sim games are really pc centric and at this moment there are 3 rival sim killers on the horizon.
Life By You - literally being headed by Mr Sims himself Rod Humble.
ParaLives, a more cartoon art style sims game.
Enjoy- developed by people in South Korea, now if this game actually does what it says it will and keeps the look its showing off. This game will be the one to kill them all. The graphics of this game and what's been shown off, are absolutely surreal.
Re: PS5, PC Live Service Concord Will Launch in 2024
@Korgon I'm still baffled by that trailer.
Re: Rumour: Ubisoft Is Going All-In on Assassin's Creed with Black Flag Remake, Another Remake, Co-op Multiplayer Games, and More
@nomither6 I may have a look into it. Thankyou
Re: Poll: Years Later, How Do You Feel About PlayStation's PC Strategy?
Re: More Xbox Layoffs Reportedly Inbound as Company Attempts to Cut Costs
