Re: Key PS5, PS4 Boss Masayasu Ito Set to Retire After 36 Years at Sony

@KaijuKaiser
I think Sonys quality of their AAA games should not diminish. It is what Sony are famous for and if it wasn’t for some of those said AAA games and the quality then Sony consoles and game sales etc would reduce.
I mean if you took away Sonys top end AAA exclusive IPs then why would I want a PS5 over a series x.
I actually prefer the series x as a console, the multi-platform games usually perform a bit better and I prefer the Xbox controller because of the thumb sticks and triggers and then there is the value of game pass.
Also £70 a game and the PS5 £30 more expensive than series x UK etc.

The one and only single reason I have a PS5 is their amazing single player IPs and their quality like Ratchet and clank, uncharted, last of us, horizon, GOW etc the list goes on.

@Hurblyburbly
Had all the consoles since day one.
This is the first time I’ve been frustrated by Xbox and even a bit disillusioned with them.

The only thing is they have unlimited money and can be dangerous to gaming, but one thing for sure in the UK anyway, they are really starting to fizzle out now.
Anyway Sony keep up the great work

@stvevan
This new generation probably could not have come at a worse time overall really, because of how things went with Covid, chip shortages and now the cost of living.
I was in a department store the other week looking at TVs and the LG rep said look in here nothing is moving and no people about.
It’s looking a bit grime I’m afraid.
Most new cars are still taking about 6 months to deliver.
I don’t know how some shops etc are surviving and what on, now all there electric and gas prices are about to up again.

I think Xbox will have big AAA games but apart from FH5 and probably the coalition studio overall their AAA games don’t get to standards of Sonys
take HFW I can’t see them getting close to that overall graphically for a start and pure perfection especially in an open world game.
Take Halo infinite, it looked bad overall really and the Starfield showcase, inside it looked good but outside what we saw look so dull and boring.

Re: Poll: Are You Happy With Your PS Plus Games for September 2022?

@riceNpea
You have some good points there.
In the Xbox360 era I guess Microsoft did things right and well, but instead of going that way they are trying a different way, but also buying up some heavy hitting studios.
I think moving forward 2023 and onwards they will get back to big AAA games with all those studios they purchased. I guess it’s one way of doing it, just go out and buy it. Even if we don’t agree with it.
Game pass, not sure on that one if it does get a lot more true big AAA games then it does become serious competition to gaming as we know it.

I’m probably one of a very few that don’t get all this backward old games stuff.
Guess I’m from an era when you had a console played the games you wanted on it and when the next generation arrived you had new games for that new console, end of and everything moved forward very well and also no cross generation as well.
How my old gaming days have changed.
For me being honest for the worse, I preferred new console new games for that console so it took advantage of the new power a lot quicker.
Also all resource and energy spent on new games none of this back wards compatibility taking resources.
I know I’m in the minority and just old 😂😂😂

@Titntin
It’s a fun way to look at sales going by the amount of user reviews. I think it does give a slight indication just going by the amount and the percentages etc.
meaning the more user reviews, possibly more initial sales, unless a certain brand of buyer ie Sony in this case never post user reviews.

Actually if you do the user review thing in the UK with the PS5 and Xbox series consoles it does almost match the real as we can get sales statistics.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 442

Dezzy70

Totally off subject but to do with gaming and my PS5.
Been looking for a new tv for a month now.
The contenders now.
LG C2, Sony A80K and Samsung QN90B.

To my shock when reading reviews at stores and of course only going by review amounts how Sony have fallen TV wise if you can go by purchased people reviews to units sold in the UK over a couple of big stores.

LG C2 had about 1250 reviews
Samsung QN90B about 850 reviews
Sony A80K about 20 reviews.

Wow it was always Sony when I was young back in the day, but they not selling that many TVs now a days I guess, roughly going on shop user review amounts.
They best keep being the top dog in gaming market, if true now I know why they been making a big deal over CODs future etc.

Re: Four Minutes of God of War Ragnarok PS5, PS4 Footage Incoming

Dezzy70

It’s time for, God Of War.
Hope this gets GOTY, much as Elden Ring is a great game to some, I haven’t played as can't understand why they don’t bother to make the effort to put difficulty modes in the game.
If they had I would have purchased and played and probably massively enjoyed. I know I’m missing out but can’t stand it when a game is to difficult and to me they are just stubborn by doing this.
I am missing out because they can’t be arsed or to stubborn, that really frustrates me as I love open world exploration games.

Re: Sony: Efforts Beyond Console Do Not Diminish Our Passion for Amazing Single Player Games

Dezzy70

I think diversity is probably the key to sustainment and expansion in areas of most businesses.
All so it brings cross business engagement and exposure.
Look how all the game companies do clothing, is the simplest example.
Nintendo, theme parks and Lego.

The world continually changes more so then ever the need to diversify maybe the need to survive.

None of these game companies make a niche product, it’s an entertainment product and that business world is massive.

Re: PS5 Is the Only Console Getting Price Rise, Microsoft and Nintendo Have 'No Plans'

Dezzy70

@UltimateOtaku91
Of course there will be some amazing Xbox statistic about Starfield, how many million players.
Doesn’t mean they purchased the game or enjoyed it. It means they downloaded it on game pass had a quick look and that it.
I’m not playing Microsofts silly millions of players rubbish statistics.
Just like halo infinite Xbox mouthed off about millions of players what about now.

“Halo Infinite isn't in the Top 10 of most-played Steam games. In fact, at a little more than six months old - and its fan-favourite multiplayer component entirely free-to-play and available on Steam - Halo Infinite doesn't even breach the top 50 games that boast the highest concurrent player numbers. Or the top 100.”

Xbox all lies and full of it when they want to be.
The most untrustworthy of the lot of them. Phil the mouth piece and gang are corporate trash.
