Re: We Wish You a Very Merry Christmas

Hego

Happy Christmas! And keep up the fantastic work, this site is one of my 3 go to sites daily, the features and articles are great and interesting, forums are fascinating and the comunnity is the best on the internets! Thanks to this site I've made friends and met peeps who I can chat to about games and actually game with, something which, living in the west of Ireland, is pretty hard to do IRL (even with my dodgy internet). So thanks again and hears to an even better site next year

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 147

I've been playing more Skyrim in between work this weekend. Enjoying it far more than when I played it years ago, I finished the civil war, dragon born and mages college quest lines, started the dawn guard quest line before heading to work. It's a really good game but I found myself losing interest in it when I started getting bogged down with misc quests. The main quests are far more enjoyable and interesting and have drawn me back in. I'll also play some more Pokemon Moon (on the 3rd island and I've levelled my Litten all the way up to an Incineroar finally I'm rejoining Squad butter with @Kyroki and Sam from the site to tackle the trenches of BF1!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 146

Hego

Away in Dublin for a concert this weekend so I'll only be playing some Pokemon Moon on the 3ds. Haven't played a Pokemon game since Silver and Christ they really haven't improved the writing at all. It's shocking bad, graphics aren't too bad but I preferred the old top down pixel look myself and the animations are pretty weak. Core gameplay is still fun as ever though although there's a lot of crap or boring or simply daft Pokemon in the games now from what I've seen, the roster needs to be edited at this stage

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 145

I'm in the middle of upgrading my ps4 hard-drive to 2tb from 500gb. After I finished that I'll have to leave the ps4 to download games, updates etc. So it's a weekend of laptop gaming I think (thanks to the recent Steam sale also!) and maybe some Virtues Last Reward and Trails in the Sky SC on Vita

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 142

Hego

In between work I'll be playing a mixture of TF2 multiplayer (which has started to grow on me), BF1 multiplayer (Dangermouse and myself having been tearing it up as Squad Butter!), both CoD games and their respective multiplayers and finally dabble in Skyrim! Basically my winter gaming is sorted! Just need to find more time for it....

Re: The Elder Scrolls VI Is Not in Development, Says Bethesda

Hego

@TeslaChippie True enough, they do have differences in approach which sets them apart. What I should have said is where they can be compared (combat, quest writing) I think the Witcher 3 has clearly surpassed Skyrim's quality by a long way (more so in the writing than combat). Skyrim is a different game in many ways but there is plenty it can learn from the Witcher, I think at least

Re: The Elder Scrolls VI Is Not in Development, Says Bethesda

Hego

Would love a new Elder Scrolls but they definitely need to take their time, make a new engine which really takes advantage of current gen hardware and finally evolve the series in the wake of the Witcher 3. Making a similar quality game to Skyrim but with improved graphics won't cut it in a post Witcher 3 world, Fallout 4 has already suffered in comparison I feel although that couldn't be avoided in fairness to Bethesda.

Re: Feature: October on PS4 Is Packed with Promising Games

Hego

Getting Battlefield and Titanfall on release, I'll pick up Tomb Raider, World of FF and Skyrim later on. Might even get DQ builders in a sale. Amazing mouth for games, I was sure Skyrim wasn't until November. As @Simon_Fitzgerald says Return to Arkham coming too which I'll probably pick up in a sale as I've played them before, two amazing games there if the remaster is good

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 137

Hego

@Expao After getting 80% through Divinity, I gave up on it as well, for me the story was just to mediocre for me to want to keep going, combat was fun but not enough to keep me coming back for good. Trails is a really good game, I've on played the first chapter but it was very good
@Wazeddie22 Let us know what you name the puppy!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 136

Hego

@LobsterJohnson BF4 campaign is meant to be terrible so I guess any of the rest
I've finally got a weekend off work (coz I'm down with 'Man Flu', so I've been playing through Batman Arkham Knight, I reckon I'm 80% done of the main game (not including the ridiculous number of Riddler trophies) and bought the season pass in the recent sale so I'll work through the dlc missions too. I've started playing FInal Fantasy VI on Vita too so I'll be playing that usually for an hour before I go to bed for the next few weeks. Also started Atelier Rorona on Vita to see what these games are like, might play some of that

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 135

Hego

Only have tonight to play but I'll try to squeeze in some Arkham Knight which I'm enjoying and some PES 2017. PES is good but despite being a footy fan, Fifa or PES never really click with me so far PES has really excited me either but ill probably keep coming back to it

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend - Issue 134

Hego

When I get time I'll be playing through Batman: Arkham Knight which I'm enjoying despite the overuse of the batmobile in so many missions, I've also gotten back into Battlefield 4 again so will be playing a few rounds of that too. Will try to play some of the rumble mode in Rocket League too and see what that's like

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 133

Hego

@themcnoisy Working at the weekend sucks
Between work and helping my gf move back to college I'll get very little time for gaming but I'll try to get some Trails in the Sky:SC in on my Vita. Loved the first game but haven't really gotten stuck into this yet due to other games. Would heartily recommend the series to any JRPG fans here though

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 132

Hego

Thinking of starting Batman: Arkham Knight as it's taking up a lot of space and I've yet to play it yet, picked it up earlier in the summer. I'm about 75% through Divinity but I've kinda lost interest in finishing that game, it's good but it just ever really sank it's claws into me in the way I thought it would. I've also got Borderlands 2 in the Handsome collection to finish so I might plug away at that over the week

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 130

Hego

Bit of No Man's Sky and a bit of Divinity Original Sin which I've really started to enjoy. No Mans Sky is enjoyable but I really hope they add meaty content in future updates, the game feels empty to a degree and a bit too lonely.
Divinity is turning into a very enjoyable gem of a game, it's has a really fun magic system to play around with

Re: Poll: It's Time to Have Your Say on No Man's Sky

Hego

Enjoying it so far, it has a great sense of 'discovery' to it which it's really morish, whether it's discovering new words, buildings, elements or blueprints. It's pretty shallow too though, not much to do beyond 'Scan-Travel-Mine-Trade-Repeat'. It's also a pretty lonely game, I'd really like to see more populated buildings in the future and maybe even towns or cities. Would be cool to find npcs out mining or discovering on planets too. I'd sum it up by saying it's a pretty good platform on which Hello Games could continue to build something special on if they keep adding meaty updates which add content

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 127

Hego

The Rocket League bug has bitten me again so I'll be playing plenty of the when I get time. Also started Divinity Original Sin the other week, the mechanics are really fun in the game but something about it just isn't drawing me in. Shame coz it looks like a really fun game, hoping it clicks with me soon.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 122

Hego

@vegeta11 Congrats!

Battlefield 1 has me hyped so I've been playing a lot of BF4 recently, love this game! Also recently bought Sniper Elite 3 so I'd like to start that, I've still to start Blood and Wine which I'm really excited for,and I'm about halfway through a play through of Borderlands 2 which I need to get too, work keeps getting in the way however

Re: Feature: 10 PS4 Games That Won E3 2016

Hego

I'm pretty excited for Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1 which don't seem to be getting much love here. Agree that COD looked really impressive but I've my winter shooter fixes already sorted
Elsewhere, Horizon looked very cool, Persona looking like a sneaky GOTY contender, God of War looked great. Watch Dogs 2 and Sniper Elite 4 also grabbed my attention (particularly watch dogs which is looking fun as heck)
