I play 3rd party games on my Xbox just because I prefer the controller and the user interface (instant on / no copying of data after updating), and my PS5 is just for the exclusives.
I may switch back to PS5 though just because of where I live (Kuwait). The market is dominated by Playstation, so the physical copy availability of games and the resell / trade-in values are significantly higher for PS5 over Xbox.
So many games in the backlog at the moment! January and February have been packed with titles I want to play. Currently balancing between Midnight Suns, Crisis Core Reuinion, Atomic Heart, and a few days ago I beat Spogebob Cosmic Shake (such a great game btw) and the average-but-fun Wanted: Dead.
Then you have Hogwarts Legacy, One Piece Odyssey, Fire Emblem Engage...
Wayyyyy too many good games have released in such a short time frame! Great year so far
I was honestly disappointed with Horizon Forbidden West, and even God of War Ragnarok as I'm playing it now. They do not capture the magic of the 1st two games in their series.
It's weird I actually beat and enjoyed both Neon White and Gran Turismo 7 more than Sony's biggest two titles, but to each their own as they say.
Have yet to dive into Elden Ring though. As much as I enjoy them, the Souls games always give me anxiety before and during playthroughs!
I honestly believe if Sony had the money, they would be the ones to buy Activision Blizzard...
Yes I agree it's not at the same level of a timed exclusive / exclusive perks / paying to keep a specific franchise off the other platform, like Sony has constantly done recently, but the head (or heads) of Sony really deserve this for pretending to be the ''good guys'' over the past few years.
They have never been 'pro gaming' just 'pro Playstation'. Business is business at the end of the day.
I beat Guardians of the Galaxy (amazing) and Far Cry 6 (it was ok) recently, and now will be messing around in Call of Duty Vanguard's multiplayer, and a bit of Forza Horizon 5.
I still need to play through Shadowbringers this month!! @TraCuz-
Looking forward to playing Guardians of the Galaxy! I am currently playing Far Cry 6 but it is just not clicking for me... I am about 1/3 of the way? Personally I find it to be one of the weaker entries in the series. Far Cry 3 is still the benchmark
I played and beat it yesterday, took me about 10 hours total maybe?
You don't have to make notes, the game gives you a series of objectives to go through so you're never lost, but there is plenty of room for experimentation and optional side quests.
8/10 for me, definitely not a 10. Also, I think Dishonored 2 is the better game overall
Edit: I notice a lot of people comparing it to Prey here, I played that and absolutely hated it!!
I have been addicted to Valorant on PC for the past week....
Also been playing a bit of Returnal and I made it to the 3rd biome. It's really good, and the fact that you can skip bosses you've beaten already is great!
I check every now and then and have rarely seen it in stock in the UK. I am not desperate for one at the moment, but I think if I do find it in stock I'll pull the trigger because it could get even harder to find when Ratchet drops.
I preferred the fluid gameplay and variety of Vanquish over Binary Domain. I didn't find this one to be really that interesting especially with enemy designs.
The only real issue is if you already deleted the PS4 version, expecting to download the PS5 version later to continue your save, and then realising you have to redownload the PS4 version again just to migrate the save over.
I assume some people fell into this category and are complaining about it on social media.
I didn't think it was a big deal until I realised you need to have both PS4 and PS5 versions installed, to upload on one and then download on the other.
I was never a fan of the PS4 save system anyway. It always feels to have extra steps with an extra window, just like the old PS3 days. So hopefully they can work on this on the next PS5 firmware update to make it smoother.

Buying this because that's... SAMOA JOE!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 546
Last night I finished the excellent Visions of Mana - 9/10
And then I started Space Marine 2. Not sure it will be a 9/10 for me but it is a good Gears of War style game so far.

Re: Astro Bot PS5 Controller Announced, Pre-Orders Start 9th August
Definitely the best looking limited edition PS5 controller! Great details all round.
Re: Tekken 8 PS5 Demo Out This Week, Featuring Single-Player Modes and Offline Versus
Has anyone tried a leverless controller like a Razer Kitsune?
Or should I go for a traditional fightstick (which I am already used to) ??
I have my eyes on the Nacon Daija for PS5, but I like the artwork on the Razer Kitsune - Cammy edition.
Super expensive accessories though...
Re: UK Sales Charts: PS5 Slingshots GTA 5 to Number Two
No Final Fantasy XVI or Remnant II in the top 40!! Shocking.
Re: Sony Patents Heat Dispensers Inside PS5 Controllers
As a person who's hands sweat excessively when gaming, this is a big NO from me.

Valkyrie Elysium deluxe edition... Is it worth it guys? I own Valkyrie Profile Lenneth on the PSP but have not played that either.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give God of War Ragnarok?
8/10 after beating it. Great game!
Ratchet and Clank is still the definitive PS5 experience for me.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 452
Balancing between GoW Ragnarok, Bayonetta 3, and wrecking people in the face with zero attachment SMGs in MWII
Happy gaming everyone.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Gotham Knights?
A REALLY good DC game. The only issue I have is that it's not worth the 70 dollars asking price.
If you are a DC comics fan, you must play this game, but only when you can get it for cheaper.
Also, Red Hood is the best character to play as
8/10
Re: Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Crawls onto PC in November
I actually enjoyed this one a lot, played on a PS4 Pro at the time, it was short but sweet!

Re: PS5's DualSense Dubbed the Best Controller of All Time in Public Vote
I definitely prefer the Xbox controller especially for longer gaming sessions. If only the made the d-pad less crunchier/noisier.
Re: PS Store Indies Sale Offers Discounts on Over a Thousand PS5, PS4 Games
I'm hoping for a little discount on Dying Light 2 deluxe edition, maybe the Spring sale in April at the earliest?
Re: King of Fighters XV (PS5) - Rock Solid Brawler Is Better than XIV, But Still Struggles to Wow
@Gamer83 If 83 is referring to your year of birth, I completely understand 89 here, but I do enjoy the occasional online match once in a while.
Re: King of Fighters XV (PS5) - Rock Solid Brawler Is Better than XIV, But Still Struggles to Wow
@Gamer83 how's the player base, as in time to find online matches?
Re: Rumour: PS Plus PS5, PS4 Games for March 2022 Leaked Lineup Changes
Ghostrunner is a decent game though.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Sifu?
Beat the game (without the credits / secret ending) so does that count??
Anyway, I give it an 8/10. Great game but definitely VERY difficult.
Re: Sifu Trophy Data Shows Second Level Is Destroying Most Players
Beat the last boss last night, very good game! Not going to be replaying it for the true ending though, it was stressful enough
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 410
FFXIV Endwalker and a side of Valorant.
Also need to get back to Ys IX Monstrum Nox as I left it about 50% into the main campaign.
Re: Dying Light 2 Completion Time Further Clarified, 20 Hours to Beat Story
I'm very happy with the 20 hours length! Now to wait for the reviews
Re: UK Sales Charts: GTA 5 Back on the Rise in Quiet Week for PlayStation
@Boucho11
I walked into Game yesterday here in the UK, and passed by the Xbox section. Guess which game was displayed in the best sellers chart...
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 403
Was hooked on Genshin Impact for about 6 hours yesterday! Made it to adventure rank 15.
Re: UK Sales Charts: It Might Be Underperforming, But Call of Duty: Vanguard Is Still Top Dog
Vanguard's multiplayer is actually addictive and fantastic. So much hate for this game, but it will keep selling anyway!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 402
I beat Guardians of the Galaxy (amazing) and Far Cry 6 (it was ok) recently, and now will be messing around in Call of Duty Vanguard's multiplayer, and a bit of Forza Horizon 5.
I still need to play through Shadowbringers this month!! @TraCuz-

Re: Final Fantasy XIV Is Now the Most Profitable Game in the Entire Series, Surpasses 24 Million Players
There is a RIDICILOUS amount of single player content in this game @Jtheripper
Better than some of the mainstream releases!!
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Tales of Arise?
Started off sooooo well until you reach the 2nd half... Left a REALLY bad impression after an amazing start.
6.5/10.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 396
Lost Judgment, with some Hot Wheels Unleashed on the side
I really want to start collecting hot wheels now, especially the gaming (Street Fighter V + Overwatch) character editions.
Re: Rumour: PS Plus October 2021 PS5, PS4 Games Have Leaked
Should have been MK11 at this point! Not a great month to be honest.

Re: Reaction: PlayStation Showcase Was Good, But Not Good Enough
I agree Sammy, especially with the God of War footage looking like an expansion DLC, but we shall see I guess.
Only a few announcements got me excited, and all of them are years away from releasing.

Ain't that the truth!
Re: Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart (PS5) - Intergalactic Stunner Puts PS5's Power on Display
12 hours is PERFECT. The price needs to come down a bit though.
Re: God of War Ragnarok Delayed to 2022 for PS5, Sony Confirms
Playstation Studios confirmed it's coming to PS4 too, along with GT7.
Makes sense since PS5s are still hard to find, but I hope this is NOT them telling us that we will keep struggling to buy a PS5 deep into 2022!
Re: Horizon Forbidden West PS5 Gameplay Reveal This Thursday in New State of Play Livestream
Can't wait for this. Will be playing on PS4 Pro unless I get my hands on a PS5 before then.
Miles Morales ran great on it, so I'm hoping this will be the same!
Re: Poll: Did You Buy Mass Effect Legendary Edition?
Played all 3. Loved 2 the most.
I don't replay games so remasters don't interest me at all, except for Tony Hawk!

Re: PS5 Pre-Orders Open in Egypt This Week for $1,000
In Kuwait (where I'm from) it is priced similarly to everywhere else in the world = approx $550
Sony needs to intervene as this is clearly 'local markup' by the corrupt authorities of Egypt.
More than DOUBLE the flipping price...
Edit: Even scalpers are selling it for cheaper!!
Re: New Tekken 7 Character Lidia Revealed, Out This Week Alongside Island Paradise Stage
