I'm both excited and sceptical at the same time.

I used to love a good tennis game, there seemed to be a never ending supply of them back in the PSWii60 era, but pretty much every one from PS4 onwards has turned out to be a complete let down

Yet another nail in the coffin for physical games unfortunately

It's one of those games I'd like to play / try but probably not quite enough for me to actually go to the trouble or expense of buying it.

Hopefully one day it will come to PS Essential or Extra

Nothing that stands out to me on a personal level, but that's ok, can't expect banger after banger every single month

I like to try to do my bit every single day..... even if it's just a quick game of FiFa (ooops sorry, EA Sports FC24)

A new Compact Sony mobile phone would be top of my wishlist.

Not holding my breath on it though

I love the way you can put the PS5 to sleep and pick up right where you left off.

Yeah it was very weird how the discount was visible to some people and not others.

I'm currently just paying for "Extra" on a month by month basis but hoping for a 12 month discount asap

I'm hoping for another PS Plus sale in January (I'm sure there was one last year)

I could see the 30% off discount or whatever it was for Black Friday but due to a glitch it ended up charging me the full amount for PS Premium rather than the discounted price when it auto renewed.

Sony were good enough to give me a full refund but the discount offer unfortunately disappeared

Awful game, thankfully they did redeem themselves with GT7

For me personally it's definitely a combination of FIFA 23 / EA Sports FC 24

I'm neither happy nor unhappy, Ive never heard of any of them before so no instant excitement, however happy to give them a try

I honestly haven't lol, I guess their just not my type of games so not something I've looked into or kept an eye out for.

I wasn't being negative, in fact if you look back at my posts for December's PS Plus Essential and Extra games I was extremely complimentary over them. (I'm not expecting you to actually go back and look by the way, just saying.... if you did, you'd see).

But in answer to your question. No, this is the first time any of these 3 games have ever been brought to my attention so prior to yesterday's reveal I'd never heard of any of them

Been playing since the late 80's, owned pretty much every Nintendo console and every PlayStation and a few Sega's and Xbox's in between but genuinely never heard of these 3.
I didn't say they were bad games, just never heard of them before

I'd already played Power Wash simulator on Xbox game pass but I ended up selling my Xbox because it's *****.

So I was delighted when it was announced as a free PS Plus Essential game for December.

Very therapeutic and underrated game

Congrats on the 50 million milestone.

Proud to say I was lucky enough to be a day one adopter , annoying cross gen releases aside it's been a very happy 3 years.

Hopefully now the PS4 can be left where it belongs (in the past)

Not a bad line up to be fair.

There have been plenty of months where there's not been a Single game that I'm the slightest bit interested in.

This list however I could pick at least 6 that I will definitely be giving a try. They may turn out to be terrible but at least they have my interest to start with

This is absolutely the right thing to do.

I'd be saying the same even if the game was released this week but if it's only releasing in 2025 the PS5 will be roughly 5 years old by that point and the PS4 should be dead and buried

To be fair it should be dead and buried now with the 5 being 3 years old but that's an argument for another day

Yeah it's something you don't see very often now.

I guess now that people have the option to simply download it without even leaving the house there isn't really the demand for midnight launches like there used to be.

Shame really, there was something special about going to one, especially if you were lucky enough to have the following day off work so you could stay up all night playing it (if you wanted to).

Another issue now is that even with a physical disc you'd still probably be waiting till at least 6am for it to install before you can actually play it.

I miss the days when games would just play straight from the discs

The GTA 4 one that I went to was at my local supermarket. There were no pre orders, it was just simply done on a 1st come first served basis.

Me and 2 of my friends got there just after 10pm and there was already about 3 or 4 people already waiting so we got in the queue.

By the time it got to 11:45pm a queue had literally formed right the way around the whole store and they had to start turning people away.

It was so funny watching people walk in a few minutes before midnight expecting to get a copy but then seeing the size of the queue.

When we got ours the first thing we did was shove them down our pants for fear of being mugged on the way out of the store 😂

I remember going to a midnight launch for GTA 4 (probably the last time I went to such an event)

I was more referring to giving Power wash simulator a try without simply dismissing it but yes Lego 2K is definitely worth a try too.

Especially even if you have a passing interest in open world racers

I played the free trial of Lego 2K and I enjoyed it, probably not quite enough for me to buy it so I held off in the hope it would come to PS Plus, low and behold here we are.

I didn't expect it to come so quickly if I'm honest so that was a nice bonus

Also I played power wash simulator on Xbox Game pass, it's surprisingly addictive.

For anyone who hasn't tried it, I'd advise not to just dismiss it as I almost did, there's something quite therapeutic about it

I wasn't even aware we could purchase/ watch these programmes in the first place so I won't lose any sleep over this.

I can't speak for everyone but I bought my PlayStation to play Video games not stream TV content

This maybe a daft thing but what would really sell it to me is if they have a little bonus section that allows you to play the Original GTA 1 & 2 (and GTA London)

It won't happen but would be a nice little Easter Egg

When Xbox inevitably goes 3rd party and pulls out of the console market then no doubt it will probably happen.

I thought at the time it was a silly time to release it.

Pretty much any other time it would have had my attention but they couldn't have chosen a worse week to do it with Mario & Spiderman out only 3 days later

In the case of Xbox its the lack of games that's the issue.

I'm not a Sony fan boy, most of what I say about Xbox is just said in Jest to be fair.

Up until recently I owed all 3 of the Big Consoles and I subscribed to all 3 online services but I found with My series X, once I'd got fed up of playing Forza horizon I just didn't use it, rather than it gathering dust I sold it to a Friend.

I don't know exactly why, but I found that any multiplatform games I wanted I was always drawn to the PS5 version
