I've always fancied one of these (or something similar) but unfortunately I just don't really have the set up at home to fix it onto.
Current I either sit on the couch or I have an X rocker chair that sits on the floor. Our TV is on a unit that's fairly low down so that works well but obviously not suitable to have a steering wheel on your knees
Usually at this time of year Shop to sell the basic ps plus for around £29, I've just checked and it's not on there at the time of typing but maybe worth holding off for a few days just in case an even better deal occurs for Black Friday
I don't play online either (or very rarely anyway) but I still pay for PS plus as it gives you 40 "free" games per year.
I usually get it from shop too on or around Black Friday. Don't think I've ever paid more than £30 for it. £30 for 40ish games I think is great value personally.
The daft thing is that the majority of those whining and moaning about the price hike had probably already bought one anyway and it won't even effect them
Of that 130m install base how many of those consoles are actually still in use?
I for one bought 3 PS4's..... My first one broke so that's a no, 2nd one I gave to my daughter (currently gathering dust in her bedroom) when I upgraded to a PS4 Pro and I sold the PS4 Pro when I got my PS5
You could also make the same install base argument when any new console launches but this cross gen thing was never a thing before when upgrading from NES to SNES or PS1 to PS2 or even PS3
I just find it really frustrating when you spend all that money on the latest console only to find you really didn't need to bother as they still release virtually all the same games on the old one.
As I said in my original post, I could accept it for the first few months when PS5 launched but now almost 2 years down the road it's time to move on
I know this was a remaster of an older PS4 game (or remake whatever the difference is) but speaking in more general terms, if developers would put an end to all these cross gen releases then this wouldn't be an issue at all.
I could understand it when the PS5 first launched but now almost 2 years later it's time to start focusing on next Gen and let the PS4 die gracefully
Not a great month for me personally but I can't complain as I've been really happy with at least one of the monthly games every month so far this year.
One of the things I do like is the new power shot, (for anyone who hasn't played you hold L1 & R1 at the same time then shoot) at first when I heard about it I was worried it may be a bit of an arcade gimmick and take away some of the realism of the game.
However I really like it, it's surprisingly tricky to pull off as you need a fair bit of time and space because the defenders pounce on you pretty quickly, but when you get it right and the ball hits the back of the net like a rocket missile it feels extremely satisfying
Probably not and if you don't have a 4K TV there's very little point in having a PS5 (or you're certainly not using it to its full potential) so Disney Plus app seems pretty pointless really
I do agree that more competition is needed. Traditionally I would alternate between PES and FIFA each year so it actually felt like I was playing a new game rather than just a refreshed game with squad and kit updates.
I guess regular visitors of this site will know the next FIFA game won't be made by EA but your average uneducated Joe in the street probably wouldn't notice the difference if FiFa 2K24 were to become a thing
Absolutely ridiculous. I could accept the cross gen thing for the first 6 months or so of the PS5's life but now........ nearly 2 years later it's time to let the PS4 die gracefully
I do it all the time, I'll be playing one of my ps plus games and I'll quite fancy a game of Gran Turismo but as it means having to get up, 9 times out of 10 I just don't bother and end up switching it off instead
I bought Hot Wheels when it first released and really enjoyed it. The only reason I haven't played it recently is because I'm getting lazy and can't be bothered to get up and change discs so this will be a good opportunity for me to download it and start playing again
My aim is to get the Delorean from Back to the Future as I never quite managed it the first time around
Edit : as an added bonus I can now trade my physical copy in and put the cash towards something else
I did enjoy my first PSVR headset but ended up selling it as alot of the games gave me terrible motion sickness. To the point where I had to go lye down for a while
I'm sure I've read somewhere a while back that this new headset would go a long way to solving that problem (no idea how but I'm sure I read it somewhere)
Until I read some reviews and find out more about the effects of motion sickness I wouldn't be ordering one straight away.
Also the price is pretty important too..... I'm guessing by Sony's reluctance to tell us the price so far that it's going to be pretty expensive

Re: UK Sales Charts: FIFA 23 Scores Tenth Christmas Number One
@IAmAshCohen17
Probably
I'm also hoping there may be a little more competition for EA too if someone else buys the rights to use the FiFa branding
Re: UK Sales Charts: FIFA 23 Scores Tenth Christmas Number One
We'll done FIFA. Shame it will be the last (in name at least)
Re: PS Plus Extra Will Only Get PS4 Version of WWE 2K22
Would have preferred the ps5 version but let's be honest it's hardly a deal breaker
Re: New, Returning PS Plus Members Can Save £25/$30 Before Xmas
I renewed on Black Friday. Bought a £75 ps store gift card from Amazon for a couple of pence under £64 .
I wasn't planning to get PS Premium but for that price (when you consider the normal price for essential is £50) it seemed a no brainer
Re: Tekken 8 Is Jaw-Dropping In First Gameplay Trailer, Complete with Character Reveals
Presumably a next Gen exclusive?
Re: PS Plus Not Required for Online Multiplayer on PS5, PS4 This Weekend
Queue all the I've already paid for a years subscription, that's not fair, I hope Sony is going to refund us for the 2 days comments
Re: Rumour: PS Plus Essential PS5, PS4 Games for December 2022 Leaked Early
Nothing of interest for me this month
Re: Deal: Stock Up on PS5 Accessories While They're Discounted This Black Friday
Unless your controller breaks and you're desperate for a replacement it baffles me why anyone would ever pay full price for one
I think I got my spare Duel sense for £41 on Amazon prime day
It was the Nova pink one. My cover story was that it was for my Daughter but secretly it was for me and my feminine side
Re: All PS Plus Memberships Are on Sale Now, Save 25%
@TrickyDicky99
Interesting...... In that case I'll follow you're advice and get the £50 voucher for £42
Cheers
Re: All PS Plus Memberships Are on Sale Now, Save 25%
@TrickyDicky99
Really?? That would explain why it's not on there then. Thanks for the heads up

Re: All PS Plus Memberships Are on Sale Now, Save 25%
Up to now I've only ever had Essential. It expires on 21/11 (yes that's the proper way to say the date for our American readers not 11/21)
Perfect timing to upgrade to Extra for the year

Re: PS Plus Black Friday Deals Begin This Week
This reminds me mine is due to expire. I always renew it in the black Friday sale as it always seems to be the cheapest time to do it
Re: EA Reportedly Writes Off Project CARS, DiRT Franchises
I won't miss Project Cars but I do enjoy the Dirt games
Re: Take-Two Reiterates GTA 6 Leak 'Won't Have Any Influence on Development'
I'd still prefer to play GTA 1 personally
The new games are so big they can be quite overwhelming
Re: TMNT: Shredder's Revenge Getting PS5 Version, Identical to PS4
@ThaBEN
Yeah if I was looking to buy it and assuming the PS5 version was the same price I'd obviously go for that one.
I just don't get when they've decided to release this version if it's essentially the same product

Re: TMNT: Shredder's Revenge Getting PS5 Version, Identical to PS4
Great game (played it for free on Xbox Game pass) but have to say this does seem a pretty pointless release

Re: PS Plus Essential PS5, PS4 Games for November 2022 Announced

I'll allow them a bad month
Re: As Energy Prices Soar, Consider an Alternative to Video Streaming on PS5, PS4
I've had my PS5 since day 1 and I've never once used it for streaming anything.
My TV has 4 dedicated buttons on its remote control, Netflix, Disney plus, Amazon prime and YouTube.
Not taking into account this energy saving info it just so much easier to press one of those 4 buttons rather than faffing about on the PS5.
Don't get me wrong I absolutely love my ps5 but I bought it for one thing and one thing only....... To play Video games
Re: Ridge Racer 2 on PS Plus Premium Mistakenly Mentioned Multiple Times

Speak for yourself. I for one loved the originals

I'm one of them yes.

Will the PS5 version include a free update to the PSVR2 version?
If not I'd rather wait
Re: Need for Speed Unbound Is Unlike Any Arcade Racer You've Seen Before
@Flaming_Kaiser
Debatable depending on you're level of disposable income
Re: Need for Speed Unbound Is Unlike Any Arcade Racer You've Seen Before
@stvevan
I've never paid £70 for any game to be fair and probably never will. Always pays to hold off a little while
Just as an example FIFA 23 launched last week for £70. I've just bought it today less than a week later for £59.99 in Smyth's
Re: Need for Speed Unbound Is Unlike Any Arcade Racer You've Seen Before
"The game’s due out on 2nd December, 2022 for PS5 – and it’ll be new-gen only, so there’s no PS4 version at all"
Worth buying for this reason alone
Re: Disney + Relaunched on PS5 with 4K HDR Support

Probably not and if you don't have a 4K TV there's very little point in having a PS5 (or you're certainly not using it to its full potential) so Disney Plus app seems pretty pointless really

Re: PS Plus Essential Games for October 2022 Available to Download Now
@Titntin
It's not so much having to search for them, it's just the effort of getting up and changing them.
I think I've been spoilt by Xbox Game Pass because obviously everything is download on there and you can seamlessly switch from Game to game
Re: PS Plus Essential Games for October 2022 Available to Download Now

Re: WRC Generations Pumps the Brakes with Delay to November on PS5, PS4
9 times out of 10 a delayed game usually ends up a better game
Re: Destruction AllStars' Stockpile Frenzy Game Mode Spices Things Up, Adds Tornados
Remember when this was meant to be a PS5 launch title but no real details were given about it?
It Ended up being a semi half decent free ps plus game but thank the lord I didn't hand over 70 English pound coins for it
Re: Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.23 Available Now, Here Are the Patch Notes
There are already more cars than anyone could possibly need. What we need is more tracks
Re: Rumour: Next Need for Speed Game Reveal Imminent, Out in December
@stvevan
Sadly you are probably correct (and that probably best case scenario)
Re: Rumour: Next Need for Speed Game Reveal Imminent, Out in December
I'm interested purely based on the fact that it's a next gen exclusive as there simply aren't enough of them.
Makes my blood boil every time I read the words "coming to PS5 and PS4"
PS5 is almost 2 years old now so time to let the PS4 die gracefully
Re: PS5's Bonkers Dev Kit Looks Like an Alien Space Craft in the Flesh
Looks cool but I think the real PS5 looks better under my TV which is what matters at the end of the day.
That said I was always going to buy one no matter what it looked like. It's what's under the hood that counts
Re: PGA Tour 2K23 Shows Off MyPLAYER Customisation Ahead of 14th October Tee Off
@Northern_munkey
Fortunately I'm in no rush.
I'm currently replaying Everybody's Golf and having great fun with it.
I love the way it's easy to pick up and play without over complicating things
Re: PGA Tour 2K23 Shows Off MyPLAYER Customisation Ahead of 14th October Tee Off
I think I'll probably wait for EA's new golf game if they're still planning to release it.
It's gone a little quiet on that front
