Re: FC 25 Reveal Is This Week, Jude Bellingham's on the Cover

Historically I've always tended to alternate between buying FIFA one year then Pro Evolution the other, that way it at least felt like I was getting a different game each time.

Obviously Konami have ruined that method for me haha.

I'm hoping the rumoured new 2K football game turns out to be real then at least I've got some options again

Having bought the last 4 versions (FIFA 21, 22, 23 and EA Sports FC 24) I might sit this one out.

As much as I enjoy them, I don't feel there's enough of an upgrade year on year for me to justify spending another £70 on it.

I'm thinking if I skip a year then I may notice a bit more of a difference for the 2026 version.

Oh who am I kidding, I know I'll end up buying it it!!!

It's actually already out for the Switch just incase you didn't already know.

I picked it up a couple of weeks back. At first I didn't really like it, it took me a good 8-10 games to get the hang of it.

I think I lost every single game and had at least 2 men off each time but I preserved and then eventually something just clicked.

I absolutely love it and can't put it down, the matches are very short so it's definitely got that "go on then just one more game" feel to it.

Camera number 5 is the one you want for the perfect Birdseye view ala Sensible Soccer

I'll be honest, after being 100% physical and completely against digital games I'd say I'm 60% converted.

I just love the convenience of not having to get up and change discs.

It's mainly the pricing I have issues with, not all the time but more often than not physical games are cheaper than digital and I think it should be the other way around seeing as you don't get a box or any packaging... that saving of not having to provide a disc and packaging should be passed on to the consumer

Thinking about it, that was why I ended up switching too, my 360 had 2 x ring of death incidents. Fortunately it was under warranty and replaced with a new console each time but after the 2nd one I lost confidence in it.

I ended up selling it whilst it was still under it warranty and putting the money towards a PS3.

I remember at the time not liking it as much, the online chat features and match making with friends wasn't a patch on the 360.

However it still works to this day so it served it's purpose I guess

What a strange reason to skip a game lol

Because it's not being released on a console that released way back in 2013 almost 11 years ago? Seriously

PS4 game releases should have ended 6 months maximum after the PS5 was released, PS5 is now almost 4 years old so it's about time the PS4 went into a well earned retirement

Obviously the PS4 is powerful enough to handle it but it's really time to move on

Yeah admittedly the last free world cup update we got did feel like something was missing so I know what you mean.

That said though I still never thought it was worth a full priced release, it was essentially the same game just with National squads. Maybe worth picking up if you hadn't already bought the main game

I know some smart arse (and I dont mean yourself) will come back with "Huh, FIFA is basically the same game released every year so what difference does it make"

I didn't realise it till the other day when I looked at my games collection, but I don't really play many 1st party Playstation exclusive games.

Not everything obviously but the vast majority of my games are multi platform Sports games or Racing games that could technically be played on either console.

I don't know what it is though, I just always have and always will prefer to play them on Playstation.

I guess at heart I'm more into Nintendo exclusives than anything else, but Nintendo always pump out under powered consoles so playing EA Sports FC24 as an example on the Switch just doesn't quite cut it.

Yeah with the benefit of hindsight, part of me wishes that I'd kept it...... At the time though, it was alot of money to just potentially write off for something that might never work the way I wanted it too, I just thought it was best to get rid of it whilst it was still in high demand.

I didn't sell it for a profit as I hate scalpers who do that sort of thing... I was happy to just get back what I paid for it and break even.

Push Square is a UK based website so they are absolutely correct to call it football, because that's what it is........ Not Soccer

Also you can shove you're NFL where the sun doesn't shine

Oh and for the record..... I am just joking, this post isn't meant to be taken too literally 🤪
