@CharlieChooChoo
sorry unrelated but I just read your username after contemplating whether or not to open Choo-Choo Charles the game on my computer and play it.
Breath of fresh air seeing a development studio working on DLC for 2 years instead of finishing the 'DLC' before the game releases and drip feeding it with season passes and things of that nature.
I have played Plague Tale: Requiem before and own Nobody Saves the World on Steam, but I am super excited to play Evil West and glad I did not purchase it.
It's really not that bad. I am an absolute video game fanatic but even the biggest releases come round much sooner than I expect. The time flies by and real life gets in the way enough so that by the time the anticipated game actually releases, it feels as if there was no real wait. Games are amazing but not really worth losing the intervening years for.
Haven't mentioned this yet so I will now: I completely agree with the review score and am glad that the reception has been so positive. On Open Critic and on Steam the reviews are very positive.
I am currently playing on PC, and I am taken by the amazing visuals. There are some performance issues, but the move to Unreal Engine seems to have brought a couple of enhancements.
Finished on Game Pass when it released. I was very hyped for this game and although it did not deliver on what I had hoped it would be, it was still a memorable experience. Frustrating at certain points, however still very engaging due to its grotesque world and intriguing architecture inspired by H.R. Giger's art.
Giving pre-order rewards is a really scummy tactic to coax more people into buying before they know what they'll get. At least there's no early access shenanigans with this game.
No DLC confirmed for Spider-Man 2 pre-launch.. Now I am disappointed (sarcasm).
On another note: As I was watching the Spider-Man 2 section of the PS Showcase yesterday, I felt that this game could really benefit from a co-op mode. Alas, the first-party offerings from PlayStation seem to stick to singleplayer modes and are shy to show some evolution in that regard. I would love a couch co-op game made with such a big budget, even if it is only a specific mode in an otherwise narrative experience.
Too busy playing Baldur's Gate 3 so I don't care about Diablo 4 at all. Haven't even played it yet outside the beta and these types of farming methods make me even less inclined to ever purchase it, because that means that by the time I get to the game the grinding is going to be even worse after updates.
@Cashews zero value? You can literally play nearly the entire catalogue of PS5 exclusives up till Feb 2022 and it'll cost you much less than one of those games alone.
Where are the PS Plus haters now? I am loving this service. I paid less than a SINGLE game's price for one year of the subscription and I can play HFW, Sackboy, Thymesia, Kena etc etc etc. So glad I never bought those games.
So glad to see the RE4 remake was made well. I had few doubts, but still.
I picked up RE2 remake at launch and loved it, but I have to be a bit more careful with money these days so RE4 Remake will definitely be picked up in a year or so.
Out of the gate: I enjoyed it quite a bit. But let me elaborate on my feelings about this episode:
Let me get this straight, the first few episodes are 60 mins+ long and the finale cuts short at around 38 air time (minus intros and outros)? That is ridiculous. I think the finale could have been 90 mins to make more use of the tension. It ended too soon and left too many gaps for some good exposition.
Nice, I will test it tonight. Was waiting for something like this, so all I have to do in GoW Ragnarok is load in the game and kill the last Odin Raven in front of me.

Re: Hope as Elden Ring Steam DLC Backend Is Updated for First Time Since Launch
@Khayl
You need to change the category with "Bandai Namco" to "FromSoftware" because this item doesn't appear under the other Elden Ring news.
Re: Hogwarts Legacy Breaks 14-Year Call of Duty, Rockstar Streak to Become USA's Best-Selling Game of 2023
I played it at release and finished it about a week later. Spectacular and fresh game. Well deserved.

All 3 games are bangers!

He looks ugly, so I guess all ugly people should sue Rockstar for most NPCs.

Re: Players Want Modern Warfare 3's Wonderfully Camouflaged 'Groot' Skin Pulled
I don't see the issue.
Re: Maligned Modern Warfare 3 Developed in Just 18 Months, Staff Required to Work Nights and Weekends
Not interested in MW3 in the least. My one very unrealistic dream is that the rest of the world will put this franchise to bed by stopping to play it.

Interesting to see that Supermassive Games will be doing the entire third game.

I have a phone.
Re: Mini Review: Lil Gator Game (PS5) - A Heartfelt Adventure That's Fun for All-Ages
I've never played this game but have heard many good things about it. Given that it is only a couple of hours long I might take it for a spin.
Re: 15 More PS5, PS4 Games Are Available Now on PS Plus Extra, Premium
Gotham Knights -> so glad I haven't bought that yet.
I missed the mark with the other comment.
Re: Now Naughty Dog Is Reportedly Downsizing, Cutting Multiple Contract Jobs
Wish ND would work on a new IP. Or at least a new game in their current line of franchises and not some pointless remaster of a 3-year-old game.

@MagisterMagi sorry, I was a bit sarcastic with that one.
Re: Preview: Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Plays Like PS5 Superhero Perfection
I liked Marvel's Spider-Man and Miles Morales, but neither of those games stood out as GOTY contenders. So I'll pass on SM2 until a deep sale.

Looks so much better than the original Lords of the Fallen from 2014. I am very excited for this, and I hope that this will be a worthy soulslike.

This should finally give me the nudge to play and finish Death's Door (trophies!). An amazing game, but I stopped playing it on PC for some reason.

Wait till the full game comes to PS Plus Extra
Re: PS5 Port of Body Horror Scorn Potentially Teased in Series of Cryptic Tweets
Played on Game Pass for PC. It was alright. The setting was superb, but gameplay felt extremely lacking and frustrating at times.
Re: First Final Fantasy 16 Review Awards a Near-Perfect Score
Will wait for other reviews before getting too excited.
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for June 2023?

Kudos to Sony's ableism! Access to all! Play has No Limits!
Re: Diablo 4 (PS5) - Blizzard's Best in Years Is a Violent Delight for Infernal Types
I won't be playing it. Games that feed on your addiction to keep playing incessantly for years on end have never appealed to me.
Re: The Lord of the Rings: Gollum (PS5) - There's Nothing Precious About This
No surprises there. One less game to add to my backlog.

Re: A Plague Tale: Requiem Treated to 60fps Mode in New PS5 Patch
Will wait to see if it actually performs well at 60fps. Will all the PR and lying going on in the industry, nothing is what it seems.
Re: Redfall: Can You Play It on PS5, PS4?
Luckily it is not worth playing. I have a gaming PC but this does not deserve an install imo.
Re: Resident Evil 4 (PS5) - A True Masterpiece Made Even Better

Re: These 9 PS5, PS4 Games Are Leaving PS Plus in March
Some of the most unremarkable games. I can only think of Vanishing of Ethan Carter as one of them that I have played.

Re: Huge PS5 Firmware Adds Discord Voice Chat, VRR at 1440p, Much More
@Snake_V5 pretty self-explanatory. When games/apps are downloaded a data integrity check is done. And that check is now quicker.
Re: PS Plus Essential Games for March 2023 Available to Download Now
So glad I haven't bought any of those games yet.
Re: Poll: What Was Your Favourite PS5, PS4 Game in February 2023?
Hogwarts Legacy (only one from the list that I have played) and I'm loving it. I am around 25 hrs in and still enjoying the world.
Re: Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty (PS5) - Excellent Action RPG a Must Play for Masochists
@Dloki what intro escape?

Re: Hidetaka Miyazaki Says Elden Ring's Success Won't Determine What Comes Next
Oh no, Soulsborne games are getting proximity chat. It's game over now.
