@McBurn I honestly can see it. Big budget version of HD-2D. I thought the first one was kind of forgettable but OTII was a masterclass in classic JRPG.

It’s really a beautiful sentiment: he wants the Japanese industry to evolve and move forward, find new talent and stay relevant.

I must say that I am pretty mid on this after playing this demo: it’s not bad at all but not as good/different as I imagined. I like the exploration with the chest mini games and the optional challenges but the combat hasn’t totally clicked with me, the graphic is kind of dated (even if the art style is gorgeous) and it is a bit too anime-trope heavy for my personal taste.
I will wait for the reviews and maybe pick it up after Rebirth, Dragon Dogma 2, Persona 3 Reload, Like a Dragon and Unicorn Overlord. Look at that list LOL

I have never had problems with the current version tbh and when I finally have some time to play I play a lot! Just swap the controller after what it feels like a very long session of gaming (5-6 hours?)

@mariomaster96 yes but the switch pro controller really has nothing on the dual sense 5 experience inho. Not hating on its impressive battery life but Dual Sense is really a game changer when well implemented (and also has a very Nintendo-like whimsical quality) and its features will probably be the standard for all console makers next

I haven’t played this and probably won’t be anytime soon with everything coming out in the next 2-3 months but it seems logic they are doing it with how successful part 1 and the tv show have been.

Guys championing Nintendo that gave us reworked WiiU titles at full price for a whole generation but think Sony is evil offering a 10€ upgrade path for this…OK 👌🏻

@Savage_Joe 😂 Oh no, the Wii browser! You win the contest. I once tried browsing the web on PS and it’s like making a PowerPoint using your smart phone: you can technically do it but it is probably considered a form of torture in some counties.

^I don’t know, I keep reading this but they already released quite a few first party titles - and we had the pandemic and all - we were just beginning to get some relevant exclusives in the ps4 era at this point.

Third party support is just amazing. And Relink and Rebirth are just around the corner too

It kinda makes sense, it is not a console seller and is a GREAT game- would definitely buy it on PS5. I am still in shock they let Cuphead be published on Sony systems.

But MS is so shady and unclear about their partnerships I can’t really say anything. Persona 3 still hiding other platforms too 🥴

It may not seem so from the reviews and online comments but Street Fighter 6’s brilliance is underrated. Probably one of the best fighters ever made

The direction they are going is ballsy! I didn’t like the final segment of FF7 Remake (the way it was done - especially the big fight with the whispers - was too KH for me) but with Intergrade they really won me over, it seems like the know what they are doing, at least.

@thefourfoldroot1 toss in the DLCs maybe? If you were planning to buy them, so your second playthrough is even more refreshed (I must say I kinda liked my second time with XVI more than the first with more forging and more mini bosses)

@sanderson72 though we have some spammers (not talking about you!) posting this idea ad nauseam in the comment section of this post and others, I don’t think that many: games like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Spider Man 2 and Final Fantasy XVI and expansions like Burning Shores or VR game Call of the Mountain are all ps5 only and driving sales this year…the shiny new games that are selling consoles are ps5 only and they make the console desirable.
It’s continuing early next year with Rise of the Ronin and FFVII Rebirth. Also there was a pandemic and chip shortage and development cycles are getting longer and longer so it is perfectly natural that there have been some cross gen releases from PlayStation Studios (that also provided titles like Astro, Demon’s Souls, Rift Apart and Returnal for ps5 only…)

WoW 60 Hours of side content? That’s meaty (and probably 80-100 hours for me: I feel like I always get at least +10 hours on the time these “estimated time of play” predict)

Impressive, I’d say that now I need release dates for Death Stranding 2 and Stellar Blade but with all that is coming out in the first three months of 2024 I am covered for the full year already

I couldn’t disagree more, Kratos is still who he is and he just grew in a very natural and convincing way that actually made him MORE interesting. But I mean he proceeds to force the gates of Valhalla open with his bare hands at the beginning of the new DLC …it’s not like he’s teaching gender studies in Athens.

But yeah they did force us to buy P5 2 times and the Xbox branding on the trailers of new Persona releases irks me: it’s not an exclusive and it’s not a brand that built Xbox identity , it’s just identity theft!

@jedinite I wouldn’t say so: these games were heavily nominated and won categories and fared critically and commercially significantly better than the most hyped Xbox esclusive in history, Starfield.

I mean it’s perfectly alright to like a platform but why are you trying to gaslight the comment section? It won’t change reality! Stop caring about sales/popularity and enjoy the games you like 😉

I have downloaded the free version, basically a demo, and it seems good - can’t really say that I am thrilled to buy this after getting all the dlc for the original game…maybe I’ll wait for a sale but yeah it feels like a (good) premium re-release to me.

Yes I have loved every minute of this - easy 10 from me on account of being free and awesome. I am doing a cycle everyday just because now I want all the cosmetic armors
