That's a pretty good top 20, surprised TR got 5th over Phantom Blade but ain't that mad about it , so many good games this year.

X to doubt, but want to be wrong on this.

Pragmata = The demo changed my mind (in a good way)
Onimusha = Needs a demo/more gameplay shown off
Tomb Raider = Lara is too attractive = makes it a day 1
Halo = Needed MP to make it a purchase for me

I watched the stream live, it was incredible. I believe she is going for all endings soon!

I got to say in all honesty, that's a very respectable top 20.

While I have grown tired over the sheer amount of glaze the game has gotten in the second part of 2025, there's no way I can't deny it doesn't deserve GOTY spot, After I finished the game in 5 days when it released I knew it would win.

Edit: I want to add Fatal Frame 2 remake to the list, and maybe Code Violet but that game does seem like a massive red flag, also no mention of Nioh 3, so already the start of year is stacked (for me personally at least)

With Monster Hunter Wilds still having performance issues it should be excluded from the list.

Brilliant experience and Sucker Punch's best game to date, I'm very curious to see they do some story DLC in the future
(personally my 3rd favourite game of the year)

I think it's time for them to start showing off Townfall, obvs we have SH1R after that, so I wonder what else they have in the pipe line? They also stated that they want to have Silent Hill in different countries like Italy or Russia for example.

Finally some justice to KCD2. This to me is what a RPG should be. Changing your pictos doesn't make it a actual RPG in my eyes.

Ghost of Yotei or Silent Hill f had the best art direction this year (imo)

Hmmm way too low for my taste.

I feel he shouldn't have to say this, just keep on making master pieces, for the things I loved about the game (voice acting, music, writing) were not affected by AI.

Haters will hate regardless, I thought this year's offering were very good, there was something for everyone. I think the two stand outs were Lies of P and Alan Wake 2.

Surprised that Trails isn't your number one as I know you really enjoyed it, nice to see Dynasty warriors get some love too as it got swept under the rug pretty quickly after release. As for DS2 I loved it allbeit too easy compared to the first, is that bad thing? probably not, the biggest problem for me was getting platinum (eye roll I know) but I always hate three people in that game, The adventuerer, the Tar therapist and the Observatory in the moutains they just refuse to level up their connections...

I wish they did more actual levels like this rather then the speed run levels while they were enjoyable nothing can beat the free roam ones.

Snake Eater Delta (yes even with performance issues) because they were faithful to original game, even giving you the option to play the game with legacy or new style controls, I hope they do this for MGS1 next.

@Fiendish-Beaver The game deservered way more attention and copies sold, but from the look of things Bloober are happy with the outcome the game got, I think after they are done with Silent hill 1 remake, we could get a Cronos 2 🤞

@MrStark I agree with most of your list, but are we going to allow Forza a spot considering it orignially came out in 2021? Don't get me wrong it's an amazing racing game, but should it count?

I was hoping they would be adding more story, as I'm very interested in where they go after that ending. I thought the difficulty was perfectly fine as it was but I appricate if others are struggling though.
