Re: Report Alleges Abuse at Gollum Developer Daedalic Entertainment

I think whoever makes decisions at these companies need to understand that not every dev team is fit to make every kind of game.

Like Redfall or Anthem for example, this was just the wrong devs for this sort of game. I'm sure if they'd make a point & click LotR game or similar it could have been something much better than what they ended up with.

So co-op isn't confirmed for this one? Maybe the second player could play as the dog so you can finally pet your friend, that will sell the game right there.

I do think you undersell the PSVR2 a bit though, although Sony's first party commitment looks a bit bleak at the moment there should be plenty to play. Just check out PSVR Without Parole's top list of games.

@KAIRU @render When playing with controller on PC there is zero aim-assist, so in a 1-on-1 fight with any M&KB with any player with even a modicum of skill will usually leave me very dead - they are just so much faster at aiming than me. And this being a game with very low TTK and slooooow reloads that is pretty much a death sentence. If I had played it on a console I would have had the same aim-assist as anyone else.

Still I'm not complaining, this is something I should have researched before buying so I have only myself to blame here!

Regarding permadeath, that is a big part of the game and makes it much more tense to play. And wow if Prestige 5 takes 500 hours... I've seen plenty with Prestige 100 playing solo in trios, likely to matched up with noobies like me and my pals lol.

It's a great game though, if I get a PS5 I'll likely buy it again.

@Cherip-the-Ripper I'm just terrible with M&KB tbh, and just find playing on the couch with a gamepad far more relaxing.

And yeah I played it with some friends and we keep losing our characters all the time. People who regularly play this are just too good, and we're often put up against players with high Prestige levels who obviously know every nook and cranny of the game environment.

Greak

Gorgeous hand-drawn style side scroller where you play 2 or sometimes 3 characters at the same time. Just started it but it looks promising so far.

Loot River
Untitled
Top-down roguelike where you float these Tetris-like block in a maze of waterways, with some Souls-like battle along the way. Initially I liked it but it doesn't work well as a roguelike unfortunately. The game is very short but also very grindy so I finished it long before unlocking most of the weapons/spells/armor.

Bioshock 2 (in VR through Vorpx)
Untitled
My first replay of this game since release and it feels underrated since it was stuck being the odd one out between the huge hits Bioshock 1 and Infinite. A great game in itself though, and seeing Rapture architecture in glorious VR never gets old.

Steamworld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech
Untitled
Another great deckbuilder game. Not a roguelike this time, but rather a RPG set in the Steamworld universe. Story is a bit so-so but the gameplay and variation of characters, cards and combos keeps it fun.

Some good stuff, but a lot of boring blah blah too.

The amount of Gamepass/XBOX advertising was just crazy though. Keighley has apparently traded the Doritos and Dew for Microsoft. But hey if they offered me that money I would probably do the same!
