Re: Battlefield Fans Triangulate Real-World Location Shown in Concept Art

It's a shame the way BF series has gone because they used to be such a staple of multiplayer shooters, especially in the years before shooters became CODified after Modern Warfare.

The biggest problem with 2042 (I only played it later after most bugs had been fixed) were the maps though, they were just so empty and boring to play on compared to former games in the series. I hope they can fix things but I have my doubts.

More Aeterna Noctis for me. This must be one of the most underrated Metroidvanias I've yet encountered. It plays like Castlevania in the art style of Hollow Knight with the platforming of Super Meat Boy. Some of the platforming bits are really tough though, so I can see why some wouldn't have the patience for it.

It's got some funny easter eggs too, like the remains of this poor adventurer I came across:

@Zuljaras Congrats on VR! Skyrim VR + Mad God's Overhaul when?

Finally got around to this VR MMO and felt I had to play it now in case its eventually shut down completely from a lack of players. I'm having fun playing it solo, while saying hi to a few other players here and there, mostly Quest players I guess.

It's a standard MMO in most ways, but the VR interactions make it shine. I'm playing the Cyber Ninja class which has access to a bow that can be split into two halves and used as dual schythes/kamas, as well as a grappling hook and temporal invisibility and backstabs - its almost like my Skyrim VR build!

Another week, another Metroidvania... Just started so I don't have a firm opinion apart from that the graphics look wonderful and that it plays pretty well. It's supposed to be a very hard game so we'll see how it goes.

I went to Beijing during the PS3 era and in order to find consoles or games you had to go to these big markets where they sold imports and bootlegs and stuff.

I had to ask to see the PS3 games and the clerk would find a selection behind the shelf in some secret compartment. Felt like I was buying some black market nukes! But times have changed it seems.

Indivisible

Metroidvania platformer RPG with fighting game mechanics. Gorgeous visuals and great character designs (Indian JRPG style) but a somewhat lackluster story.

Bendy and the Ink Machine
Untitled
Great little horror game with early Disney characters and some good Bioshock vibes. I'm playing it with the VR mod on PC which adds a lot to the already gloomy sepia-colored atmosphere.

The Excavation of Hob's Barrow

Atmospheric point and click adventure that made me feel like the 90s again - good stuff!

They Always Run
Untitled
Action platformer with a 3-armed mutant. Great artstyle but controls were a bit finicky.

The Invisible Hours
Untitled
Whodunnit VR mystery where everything happens realtime on a small island with 8 characters. A bit similar to Deracine where you move around as an invisible voyeur.

Pseudoregalia

Platformer-metroidvania with PSX graphics and nice atmosphere and music. Feels like playing Mario64 in a Team ICO castle with the move set of Mirrors Edge.
