Re: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's Huge PS5 Pro Enhancements Are a 'Vast Improvement'

RubyCarbuncle

@yohn777 Well seeing as you put it like that the difference as far as I can make out is non existent or barely noticeable. Certainly not something I would pay 800 for. I'm happy with what I have and I'm actually planning on buying a new Ultrawide curved gaming monitor anyway for PC. I'm not really sure if I'll use it for PS5 as native resolution for these monitors isn't supported apparently.

@thefourfoldroot1 You're complaining about people complaining. Ironic don't you think? people are voicing their thoughts on an Article as are you. If you don't like what's being said then just ignore them. Oh and I'm VERY aware of what's going on around me considering Ireland is one of the most expensive countries to live in Europe right now. This being said using the inflation argument to defend greed just doesn't cut it anymore.

Re: PS5 Pro Shows Real Promise in First Expert Analysis

@get2sammyb Yeah but they're not talking about Switch 2 on a regular basis. Like we get it it's going to be better than the base model. It's just annoying basically saying the same thing repeatedly is what he's saying.

I never complain about what is published here but this one time I'm afraid I'm on Cloud's side.

I'm working overtime now but when I get home I'll start a Playthrough of Astro Bot. I'll probably continue with my Half Life Alyx Playthrough too even though I lost my save for that game thanks to a power outage last night so I have to start again. I'll be jumping into Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection as well along with Gori Cuddly Carnage too even though admittedly I've reached a wall with the second boss. If it's not grenade spam from constantly respawning flying unicorns it's the dreadful camera along with lasers and waiting for my grenades to reload so I can inflict damage to the boss. It's a funny game but this boss fight isn't fun, AT ALL it's just infuriating.

Re: Prospective PS5 Pro Buyers Cause Disc Drives to Sell Out

RubyCarbuncle

@CrashBandicoat I've got plenty money to burn but why would I waste it on a marginal upgrade? so marginal you'd barely notice the difference at all. I bought the PS4 Pro and I'm not making the same mistake here. It's PC for me from now on. You can get insane discounts on PC games, not so much with Console.

Re: Prospective PS5 Pro Buyers Cause Disc Drives to Sell Out

RubyCarbuncle

@The_Wailing_Doom incorrect? definitely not incorrect I speak from experience. I've only been purchasing and now getting my own PCs built since the late 70s but sure tell me I'm wrong. If a PC costs you more you're doing it wrong and lack experience. You wait for the right time to purchase components. A good PC doesn't have to cost you an arm and a leg like this ridiculously expensive hobby.

Re: 'It Felt Like Putting New Glasses On,' Claims First PS5 Pro Hands On

RubyCarbuncle

@gaston Because you're getting a good PC built just the once and it doesn't cost you an arm and a leg like Console gaming does. Oh and the appeal to PC games comes from being able to tweak the game to your liking too, Consoles don't give you that. This is coming from a guy who's been into PlayStation since PS1. I miss those days so much.

Re: 'It Felt Like Putting New Glasses On,' Claims First PS5 Pro Hands On

RubyCarbuncle

You know the only reason I'm here is because I still own a PlayStation, in fact I've been into PlayStation since PS1 but Sony this generation have just been appalling. Looking at these pictures it is blatantly obvious they've been edited. What? do they think people are stupid?

The upgrade is marginal and anyone who thinks otherwise is just delusional. You want a good upgrade just build a PC. PS5 Pro is something that simply isn't needed as the current hardware hasn't even been pushed yet.

I'm done with PlayStation after this generation, it's the same with Xbox.

Astro Bot Rescue Mission Astro's Playroom Beat Saber (PCVR) Gori Cuddly Carnage Squirrel with a Gun Resident Evil 4 Remake and Resident Evil Village. I will be playing Astro Bot on PS5 too but I feel like playing Rescue Mission on PSVR again and Astro's Playroom which I never actually bothered with before. Considering the praise it gets I'm curious to see what that game is like for myself.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Astro Bot?

RubyCarbuncle

Not atm because admittedly I'm glued to Beat Saber. I also want to play Astro Bot Rescue Mission on PSVR again followed by Astro's Playroom which I didn't bother with before starting this.
