Re: PlayStation's Push for Live Service Games Hasn't Been Going Smoothly

Sakai

This perfectly explains the radio silence and poor showcases for the last couple of years.

It's what alot of us had feared, that they are not holding everything back or saving stuff for after the ABK deal closes, they just have nothing to show and only live service garbage in the pipeline

Even if they change direction now, it will be years and years until we see the fruits of their labour.

Re: Microsoft Documents Show How PlayStation Now Saved Fallout 76

@Stamnoso nowhere does it say anything remotely like Playstation saved FO76, even in the original article from Thegamer. If anything the headline should read "Fallout 76 was nearly canned" or something similar, as that is the truth, just like Thegamer used.

Judging by the comments above, they succeeded in fanning the flames once again (and i guess alot of people didnt read the article properly or check the sources.)

I just expected alot better from Pushsquare, but I have noticed them starting to do this more and more recently, and I am not a fan of misinformation. Its another reason why the comment sections are getting worse and worse, as the content is actively encouraging it.

I understand Playstation leaning opinions on a Playstation centric website, but passing this off as News, with the fabricated fanboy headline, is pretty bad and deserved calling out. Glad to know I am far from the only one to see through it

Re: Microsoft Documents Show How PlayStation Now Saved Fallout 76

I can't help but feel the title is a bit misleading and hyperbole after reading the email in the article

It says "ps now can help support the game gaining relevance" not that ps now saved the game. Infact nowhere in the email does it say that..so I'm not sure where you got the headline from, at all

The title of the original article you linked on thegamer seems way more accurate "Phil Spencer Considered Ditching Fallout 76" infact they never mention PlayStation saving the game at all in the original article...

Are you just trying to fan the flames for engagement? Not a very Good look

Re: Microsoft One Step Closer to Activision Buyout as CMA Approves of Deal Changes

Sakai

@MrMagic
"Should the deal finally close, cloud streaming rights to existing and future Activision Blizzard games released over the next 15 years will (surprisingly) fall under Ubisoft’s control. Those rights will then stay with Ubisoft “in perpetuity.”

The in perpetuity bit means they will always have the rights for those 15years worth of games, not that the deal lasts longer than 15years. It just means they don't lose the rights to those games after 15years.

But after 15years, the streaming rights for new games not in the 15 year agreement go to Microsoft and any other games in the future

Re: If It Wasn't Obvious, The Elder Scrolls 6 Will Skip PlayStation

Sakai

@Nem i didn't make the game, so im not sure why i would be impressed.

I was just correcting your false information with some facts. They are not my numbers, they are the official sales numbers for Europe from GSD. You are the one spinning false narratives that are easily disproven with just the most basic Google search.

The sales data was widely reported if you would prefer a different website to prove you are incorrect? I dunno why anyone would try to argue official sales data but here we are lol

Re: If It Wasn't Obvious, The Elder Scrolls 6 Will Skip PlayStation

Sakai

@Nem the link I provided includes Steam sales, and it was the biggest new IP launch of the year and the 5th best selling launch of the year. The complete opposite of what you are trying to say lol

So you don't believe official sales data. Because it doesn't suit your false narrative? Weird

Re: If It Wasn't Obvious, The Elder Scrolls 6 Will Skip PlayStation

Sakai

@Nem they tell you where the data comes from at the bottom of the article. Its the official sales data for Europe from GSD. It includes physical and digital and there is nothing more reliable or accurate for Europe. It had a huge launch, that's what the data proves, nothing like the picture you tried to paint

"GSD digital data includes games from participating companies sold via Steam, Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, Nintendo Eshop. Major participating companies are Activision Blizzard, Bandai Namco, Capcom, Codemasters, Electronic Arts, Embracer Group (including Gearbox, Koch Media, Sabre Interactive), Focus Entertainment, Konami, Marvellous Games, Microids, Microsoft (including Bethesda), Milestone, Nacon, Paradox Interactive, Quantic Dream, Sega, Sony, Square Enix, Take-Two, Ubisoft and Warner Bros. Nintendo and 505 Games are the notable absentees, alongside smaller studios."

It only doesn't include digital data if the title has an * next to it

Think you need to read it again lol

Re: If It Wasn't Obvious, The Elder Scrolls 6 Will Skip PlayStation

Sakai

@Nem that's not accurate, at all. It was a huge sucess.

"The Xbox game, which is also on PC, became the fastest-selling new IP of the year, and the fifth fastest-selling game of the year overall. Its launch sales are ahead of Final Fantasy 16 and Resident Evil 4, but behind Hogwarts Legacy, Diablo IV, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor."

And that doesnt include gamepass numbers. It had a huge launch.

Bethesda also said it was their biggest ever launch, not smallest lol

Re: Xbox Almost Flashed Its Cash At Warner Bros, Sees Nintendo As the Holy Grail

Sakai

I support console manufacturers buying other devs/publishers to help them compete or fill a gap in their portfolio. But I would draw the line here. Console manufacturers should not be allowed to purchase each other, and i doubt they would be allowed to by regulators, as it would be very bad for the industry. We need all 3 console manufacturers to be strong in the market. Competition is kind. Lucky this seems like just a nothing corporate email, and not something that will be happening in the near future, so that's a little reassuring

Re: PS Plus Essential, Extra, Premium Price Increases Announced by Sony

Sakai

@Loamy it works in almost every other industry, so why not gaming. Its not as crazy as you think. You believe it will be worse, I believe it will be better. That's just how opinions work I'm afraid. But you seem to just want to belittle people who have a different opinion to yourself, good luck with that

Re: PS Plus Essential, Extra, Premium Price Increases Announced by Sony

Sakai

@Loamy increased competition almost always leads to lower prices or less high prices. I believe the ABK deal will increased competition in the gaming industry, maybe even it out a little, and us as consumers across various platforms will benefit from that.

Nowhere am I shilling for one company, like you tried to imply by calling me a hypocrit. I am in support of the consumer

Re: PS Plus Essential, Extra, Premium Price Increases Announced by Sony

Sakai

Sony keep announcing record profits, and just keep milking their customers for everything they are worth. I stopped ps plus at the start of the year and I am glad I did.

And the usual corporate shills are here defending it like clockwork. They have no shame.

It's reasons like this why the ABK deal was needed. We need more competition across the industry, so we all win
