I have owned 3 dualsense (2 broke due to floppy triggers) and not 1 of my controllers have ever lasted more than 4 hours. Even my new Starlight Blue one that I got 2 weeks ago runs out in 3-4hours. The battery life is terrible and for a remote play only handheld, that battery length is poor
Does this support streaming services through PSN, Gefore now or xcloud etc?
If it does I will pre order one, as I should get a lot of use out of it, when the wife and kids etc are using the OLED TV.,
But it sounds like it only supports remote play and no streaming at all? Its not 100% clear. If that is the case, its a huge failure in function and has lost a sale to me
@thefourfoldroot1 I believe this agreement is for streaming only, and wont include downloadable versions, as the cloud market was the CMAs only concern during their investigation. Sony already signed a 10year deal with Microsoft for native versions of COD. The next logical step would be to release Ubisoft + on other platforms, and not just PC and Xbox
@thefourfoldroot1 cloud streaming only for Activision Blizzard PC and console games released over the next 15 years will be given to Ubisoft - with those rights then existing in perpetuity.
In other words, if Microsoft owns Activision then the next 15 years of Call of Duty games will forever be streamable via Ubisoft's cloud services
@UltimateOtaku91 Ubisoft + is currently not on Playstation, only Ubisoft Classics.
Ubisoft + including streaming is currently £14.99 per month for those wondering, almost the same price as Gamepass Ultimate
Bit of a strange article. After only a handful of reviews, it is far to early to compare it to Zelda (for example) with over 140reviews. And then trying to frame it as a ps5 exclusive, when everyone knows its not? Grasping at straws comes to mind
People expecting quality modes at 60fps on a ps5 pro are setting themselves up for some major disappointment. We have history of a pro console to keep our expectations in check (the ps4 pro and one x)
The CPU will stay practically the same, just like on ps4 pro, for compatability reasons. All you are likely to get from a pro is an increase in resolution, and maybe some settings bumped up a little. Its not going to play every game as 4k/60.
If you want 4k/60 on everything, you best open up your cheque book and write a fat cheque to a pc builder or parts supplier, because a beefy gaming pc is your only option.
@Sekijo not to hand no. But I'm sure Google will provide you what you are looking for.
Here's a quote from the CMA for example:
"in the same CMA (Competitions and Markets Authority) report where the UK regulator attempted to block the Microsoft Activision deal on UK shores.
Discussing when the Activision Blizzard benefits on Xbox Game Pass might take effect, the CMA went on record as predicting “CoD arriving on Game Pass in 2025”
It was stated multiple times during the US trial, that ABK games will be going to gamepass day 1. That's one of the main selling points of gamepass. All first party day 1
@Sekijo well Diablo will not be day 1, as its already came out before the merger closed. But yes, COD and all other ABK games will be comming to gamepass day 1 once any current contracts have ended (if there are any) Just like all the other first party games from Microsoft and Bethesda
I just picked up a blue dualsence to replace my second controller that broke this time playing Ragnarok a couple weeks ago. Second time the trigger springs have snapped. First controller was just RT but this last controller both RT and LT are broken and floppy. Not happy they break so easy, two controllers already since launch, but happier with the price I guess.
Finally Dolby Atmos. Owners of home theater set ups like myself are finally not being punished by Sony for actually buying decent equipment. What a stupid decision that was all along.
Let's just hope it's a good implementation, and not kind of half baked like VRR that came very late, and still worse than the competition.
Haven't really seen what the ps5 can do when it stretches it's legs on UE5 etc. Seems like a big mistake for Sony and/or Microsoft to release a mid gen refresh when taking that into account
@4kgk2 I already mentioned why in my initial post, because MS recognised their attempts to unionise, where as AbK were fighting against it. The workers wanted it, and alot of them supported MS during the regulatory process
Should of just signed the deal at the start, like most people with a brain said. Its been a poor show on Playstations part.
They got nothing extra, just some bad PR and Jim had a nightmare in court. Infact i believe the deal is now worse as they only get COD, and not the other IPs, which I believe was offered at the start. They have played a howler
@NotSoCryptic King may be the bigger play, but that doesn't mean gamepass won't improve at all, like you tried to say. That was just a completely false comment
@thefourfoldroot1 yes it does even it out. That's the whole point of what I said. Unless you refuse to play games on anything but a Playstation, this deal is a win for gamers
@NotSoCryptic "This won't improve game pass at all."
That's a whole entire mountain of copium. The idea that adding ABKs library of old and future games like CoD and Diablo doesn't improve gamepass at all, is frankly bananas
Sony will be great, so will Nintendo. I see it leveling out the gaming industry a bit, which was needed, and hopefully this will lead to more competition.
We as consumers will benefit from that. As a player on all 3 consoles, I actually think this weeks news was good for me and the industry
I am getting near the end of Ragnarok, think I will go for the platinum once I have finished the story.
Really liked the game, only let down was when you didn't play as Kratos. Those bits were poor in my opinion. Just nowhere near as fun and the combat is nowhere near as good. But only a slight blemish on a really enjoyable game.
@UltimateOtaku91 they don't practically own epic, they are not even the majority shareholder. Again you really are taking a very wierd stand with this. The Chinese government are your preferred custodians of the gaming industry, and everything that entails, just because they are not Microsoft. Very short sighted. Bananas.
@UltimateOtaku91 that's a really bad take buddy. You would prefer china to censor your games? You would prefer the Chinese government to control the gaming industry, just because they are not Microsoft?
I can understand people's worry with Microsoft owning ABK, but to then go full on bananas and start promoting Tencent, a subsidiary of the Chinese government, is a really bad look
@Ravix "I do wish Microsoft wouldn't keep saying stuff like "this proves it's good for competition and consumers" though. No it doesn't. It just proves the FTC are bumbling idiots"
Actually the judge said in her verdict that the trial proved the deal was good for competition and consumers, that's why Microsoft are using the quote. It's exactly what the Judge said lol
I think we all anticipated one final hail Mary play by the FTC. I dont give them much chance of sucess at all. And atleast its not a long wait
They need the appeal to be granted (not just submitted) before midnight Friday, as that is when the TRO ends. I suspect Microsoft will close the deal Monday aslong as the appeal is not granted.
It's all so Lina Khan can try to save face when she faces Congress today. Its going to be a bad day today for her and the FTC
The CMA trying to save face is cute. You messed up, now take the consequences on the chin. This charade is not fooling anyone. They will get some cloud concessions, worded differently to how it was before, but in reality it will be same deal repackaged
Sony will be great, so will Nintendo. I see it leveling out the gaming industry a bit, which hopefully will lead to more competition. We as consumers will benefit from that. As an owner of all 3 I actually think today's news was good

Re: PlayStation Portal Is Sony's PS5 Remote Play Handheld, Priced at $200 / £200
@REALAIS thank you very much for the clarification. It really needs to support all streaming services to make it attractive to potential customers.
How did someone manage to design a product with such limited function? What a total failure of a product, and I was looking forward to it!

$50 and its not even the definitive edition of the game, as it lacks multiplayer. What a time to be alive!

Just got the Platinum for Rift Apart (surprised how short it is) so I will be playing some Quake 2 campaign this weekend

$50 just to bring it up to date with the Xbox version via back compat, which runs at 4k, and is free if you own the game already.
What a joke of a price. Rockstar you suck
Re: Square Enix Bafflingly Backtracks on Final Fantasy 16 Sales, Blames 'Slow' PS5 Adoption
I imagine the first weeks sales were OK, but the game has disappeared from all the charts already and fell off a cliff.

@StrawberryTurtle minecraft is consistently in the charts, and that's on gamepass
Well done Sony. The PS5 is a little behind the PS4, but has plenty of time to catch up
Re: PS5, PS4's Sizzling Summer Sale Adds Over 2,000 Discounts
I got Ragnarok for £28.99 brand new from Currys a few months back in a sale.
Sonic Frontiers is also cheaper physical from Amazon, it currently £24.95 and I have seen it cheaper previously than that

Re: All of a Sudden, High on Life Is Out Now on PS5, PS4
I enjoyed the game on gamepass but the price is a bit steep on PlayStation. I would wait for a sale to be honest. Good game tho

@lacerz changes to the overwatch league. how is that evidence that a big amount of developers will leave after the merger

God of war deserves its sucess. Got the Platinum yesterday. Really good game that I really enjoyed
Re: Bungie's PS5 Marathon Reboot Recruits Top Halo Infinite Talent
@lacerz got a source for that?
Re: Bungie's PS5 Marathon Reboot Recruits Top Halo Infinite Talent
@lacerz yes I have thanks. Thats how I knew about them wanting to unionise and supported the merger
Re: Bungie's PS5 Marathon Reboot Recruits Top Halo Infinite Talent
@4kgk2 I already mentioned why in my initial post, because MS recognised their attempts to unionise, where as AbK were fighting against it. The workers wanted it, and alot of them supported MS during the regulatory process
Re: Bungie's PS5 Marathon Reboot Recruits Top Halo Infinite Talent
