@Ralizah you'd think a game covered by Digital Foundry with an over 200K views video would get decent sales. Seems not. People really don't care to play 7/10 games these days, even if sone may be very good.
Anyway, I'll buy a copy for 30€, but I buy all my games on discount, even 10/10s.

@Powerplay94 Probably when also taking into consideration digital copies, the PC will get most sales, a bit above PS. From Software has huge fanbase on PC, that's why Sony needs a new BloodBorne, to atract some of those FS fans. Curious about Japan sales, but I wouldn't bet it selling more than 100K copies.

Of course, exclusives sell consoles, but I don't have to care that xbox players can't play Baldur's Gate 3 or other game not on their platform, just like they don't care that I can't play Starfield.

@LightningLeader I'd take timed exclusivity over buying the entire company. You guys should stop comparing these, it's overused by now and makes no sense.

@LightningLeader Why do we need to care for Xbox players, they don't care we lost 2 of the biggest multiplatform publishers due to acquisitions by MS. In fact, they are extremely happy for this.
Starfield should have been multiplatform, same for Elders Scrolls 6 and next Crash Bandicoot if there will ever be one.

Don't know about this. Looks like the Naruto Ultimate Ninja and Demon Hunter games just in Action RPG form instead of a fighter. Not a fan of those. You can tell a publisher doesn't have much faith in its game when the physical version is Asia exclusive.

@VaultGuy415 Well, don't expect much. Don't think they'll bring that many, though you have 3 Sony published games already on VR2, Horizon, GT7 and Firewall. Next is probably an Astrobot game.

@VaultGuy415 there are VR2 games announced almost every day, you can check Twitter or Playstation youtube channel.

@DennisReynolds It's got some 60 and 65 reviews on the Xbox page, so this isn't the lowest.

As I've said before, Push Square is a very harsh review outlet. Stop crying, just add 1 or 1.5 points to that score and you'll get the real score, if that's all that matters. 😄

@Olmaz Don't think seriousness is what's missing for most devs, it's talent, vision, direction and ingenuity. Those will separate the average from the outstanding, no matter how hard working a team is. 😄

I've had my fill of Persona after over 200 hours spent on P5.

This game and FF 7 Rebirth will last me a long time. Day 1 both.

Looks very good. Might be my game to play this autumn after finishing and doing the platinum for FF XVI and Kingdoms of Amalur. Enjoyed Persona 5 Strikers very much, and if it's anything like that, I'm all in.
I know many people are hyped for BG3 but I'm more into action RPGs, than D&D Turn based stuff.

Elden Ring was overrated as hell.
Pretty sure this will be too.
About time Sony starts making that BloodBorne remake or BloodBorne 2. With all the hype FromSoftware is seing regarding its games, it would bring a lot of PS5 sales, including from PC elitists, which are salivating for FS games.

This looks very good, but even if I'm starving for a top arcade racer, I am not spending 70€ on it. I am willing to wait for some price cuts.

@somnambulance THQ doesn't make, it publishes games and some are very good, like Pillars of Eternity.

Don't know why people say PS5 has no games. I have 93 games physically just for it, and 300 for PS4. True many cross-gen, but can never complain if you get better performance on the new machine. Have a feeling this year will be the last for cross-gen games, at least AAA ones. There is no reason indies can't come to PS4 when they have Switch versions.

@JAMes-BroWWWn All China Hero games release on PC too because that is the main platform in China. Consoles are not that popular there so it wouldn't make sense to be released just on Playstation. The extent of exclusivity is not known either, just that the IPs are not owned by Sony, and they can eventually release on other consoles. F.I.S.T. got a Switch release later on.

@DennisReynolds Can't argue with that, but in my eyes PS4 > Switch because of the vast AAA library. You can't even compare them. At the end of the day, it's a matter of taste. If Switch had all the multilatform AAA that the PS4 has, it would easily surpass it, cause most jrpgs have been already ported to it, even if many have shoddy ports, to say the least.

@StripedTomato For a while they stopped selling PS4, but then they realized they can't produce enough PS5s and made PS4 available again, only the Slim, though. Probably to have a cheaper system on the market to compete with Series S, at least for a while.

@DennisReynolds PS4 is 10 years old and still getting AAA bangers. I'm sure it'll still be getting at least jrpgs and indies 5 years from now. It is probably the best console ever, disconsidering numbers (Switch competes in 2 markets and completely dominates 1 of them).

@TrickyDicky99 No, there are over 4000 PS4 games playable on PS5.
They must be talking strictly of PS5 games.

@Voltan, it's not, but a lot of the popular games are still cross-gen. Like how many would have jumped on a PS5 just for Armored Core 6, but they won't cause they can still play it on their PS4 for another 100 hours of use with the system.
The PS4 is the best bang for buck console in history. Cross-gen games don't even look that bad on it.

If the sales remain the same, it'll probably be around 80-90 mil by 2027-2028 when PS6 will launch, unless they lower the price and bring out some unmissable exclusives.
80-90 mil is PS3 numbers, which is not great.
A lot of people are still sticking to their PS4s, as long as it's still receiving good AAA games, like upcoming Armored Core. Sony needs to get something out to convince those people to move over. GTA6 might be that game, even if not exclusive.

There are rumors Tencent is developing its own console which would explain why they acquired so many studios.
And people here seem to be confused about private vs publicly listed companies. Regulators only intervene for public mergers and acquisitions.

@Smiffy01 I bought a 6.4 inch phone just for remote play and one of those Dualsense adapters. The official app works, but not everytime, sometimes it gives some errors.

@MFTWrecks, Yea, I have an urge for a decent MMO, but FF XIV has weird combat and WOW asks 12€ a month. Might try this out.

Not for long they won't. Day one GamePass COD and Starfield will change everything.
Also, they had an almost 100€ discount in most countries for the disc version.

@Shepherd_Tallon Good points, all, but consider one more X factor, a decently powered Nintenso console would also mean Japan publishers would be inclined to skip PS altogheter for the more popular Nintendo console. PS going the way of Xbox in Japan is a guarantee that no jrpg will get relesead on it, other than From Software games.

I think things will start to go very bad for Sony come PS6. The seeds have already been planted, focus on Live Service, bloated production cost and time for 1st party games, smaller JRPGs are going exclusively to Nintendo, losing COD and Elder Scrolls.
I can't see Sony recovering from this. PS5 will be their last succesful console.
This is coming from a PlayStation die hard fanboy, but I think I'm gonna need a Nintendo Console in the next generation, no way in hell I'm buying an Xbox.

@grimgaming Hasn't Nintendo been milking the same franchises for the last 30 years? It's working great for them. Sony is just doing what is best for their business and that means more TLOU, GoW, Spider Man.

Everybody just talks COD, but that will still be on PS at least for 10 years. All other AB games, though, 100% Xbox exclusive, just like Bethesda and that will hurt badly. Still not buying an Xbox. 😄

Nobody is talking about the abysmal Tokyo Xanadu numbers. 5k in its launch week? Damn, they shouldn't have even bothered porting it from the PS4.

@get2sammyb Let's see what they'll bring us. Currently Insomniac, Sony Santa Monica and Sucker Punch are unbeatable. Best in the business, though Santa Monica studio need to show us they can make something other than God of War.

Do they even deserve it? I haven't played anything from them yet. They only made Horizon VR and The Persistence.
